Kuroko POV

After my run-in with Aomine-kun last night everyone seem very determined this morning, even (F/n) was a bit more eager to practice.

"Alright, everyone here!" Hyuga senpai yelled.

"Yeah!" Everyone yelled but I notice someone wasn't around since this morning.

"Excuse me... Kagami-kun's been missing since this morning," I said as Hyuga senpai turn around and was surprised for some reason.

"Your bedhead is ridiculous!"

"Kagami's missing?" (F/n) asked as she seem a bit concerned about Kagami's whereabouts.

"It's fine, starting today, we'll be practicing without Kagami-kun for a while, I'll explain later," coach said as she came out of the building.

"Okay let's go home," Hyuga senpai said.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" Coach said before beginning to walk.

"Huh?"

"Our training camp starts now," she said as she pointed to the building not too far from where we were staying.

"What?!"

As made our way to the gym and see coach dad standing there like he was waiting for us.

"Are all the kids here?" He asked while turning to coach.

"The coach's dad?!" Kogenai senpai was curious why he was here.

"Don't call me dad, call me kagetora-san," he said as he faced us.

"Kagetora-san what are you doing here?" Fukuda-kun asked.

"My lovely daughter asked me to come, I came here to make you stronger," he said as (F/n) leaned over to whisper to me.

"He seems like a reasonable parent if he came here to help his daughter out," I nodded but then he brought out a gun making both of us sweat.

"First, I have a question for you, step forward if you saw Riko naked yesterday," he said as he went into protective mood.

"He's got a gun?!" Everyone yelled as they backed away from him.

"Come forward now and I'll kill you painlessly with a single headshot! Listen up! I'm the only one who can see Riko naked," he said as Kogenai senpai was speaking too fast but said something about not seeing anything.

'I thought Ayame was scary but he's winning first place with the gun,' before anyone can do anything (F/n) step out and walked towards him.

"I apologize for my rudeness, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to look at coach while we were in the baths." She said as she bowed towards him. He looked at her and patted her head.

"I had no idea there was a young girl in the team too," he said as he smiled at her but then turn towards us and began to repeat what he said about coach and how to respect (F/n) when she's changing.

"Um sir I suggest you don't say that out loud before she hears you," (F/n) suggested but the door opened and someone ran in and kicked kagetora-san.

"Is that-" Kogenai senpai began to ask but I answered for them.

"Yeah it's her," Ayame ran to hug (F/n) and began to ramble on about how long it has been.

"Ayame I can't breathe from your chest!" (F/n) yelled as she try to breathe from the side.

"Is that any way to speak to your coach!? Do you have any idea how boring it is to go to the same school as carrot boy?! No, you don't and by the way, when were you going to tell me you went out on a date with him! I get if it was Kuroo or Takeo or even Bokuto's friend Kenji but him!" She said as I notice she was not going to say anything nice right now.

"Ayame-chan you should know Midorima-kun and (F/n) made a deal that if we won he would take her out on a date," I said as she looked at me and smiled.

"Oh then it makes sense why you would go out with him, I mean there's no way you would ever go for a Tsundere and spend time with him for nothing," she said as she patted her shoulder.

"Why Ayame it sounds like you're saying I have terrible taste in guys," (F/n) said as she smiled innocently but I could tell that she was offended by that comment.

"What no way," Ayame backed away and notice kagetora-san getting back up.

"Are you alright sir?" (F/n) asked as he smiled.

"Of course I'm alright, it reminds me of when Riko's mom would do the same thing whenever we-"

"No, you can't, and don't talk about the past!" Coach yelled as she stop her dad from talking about their personal life.

"What! Riko-tan, you said you'd marry daddy when you were little..." He said as she punched him again.

"Get started already!"

"But you said you'd marry me," he mumble as Ayame patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry sir, I said the same thing to my dad but then reality hit me and now I wish I never said it to my father," she said as he tilted his head.

"Alcoholic?"

"Power-hungry," he began to shake his head.

"Some parents just don't know what they have until they lose it he'll turn around eventually," he said as she sigh.

"Not as long as shining is in business," she mumbles.

'I guess things are still a bit difficult with her dad.'

Your POV

"Alright start by taking your shirts off," he said to us without a thought.

'This seems familiar,' before I could ask him something he looked at me.

"You can just lift your shirt to show your stomach if you feel uncomfortable being seen by these boys," he said as I nodded and made my shirt go up at least under my chest.

He began to observe everyone just like the coach did when she first met us. Ayame was also observing everyone's body making me feel a little more comfortable.

"Well, you're not bad, you seem to have been keeping up with Riko's training since this summer, and your stamina and muscles show balanced improvement. What's more impressive is the young lady right here seem to have more stamina but I assume her coach has her on a different training routine than you." He said as he walked away from us and spoke to Ayame a bit.

"Alright split into two groups," he said as we did as he said, and to make it easy for everyone the first years grouped while the second years did the same.

"Go play cops and robbers in those mountains for about three hours," he said as Ayame set the timer.

"We're playing tag?"

"Of course, we're running, afterward the losers will practice footwork, and I'll let you off with double practice," he said

"What?!"

"I suggest you start running first years don't want to get your senpais an easy win now," Ayame said as we all looked at each other and began to run like our life depended on it. It wasn't long until we could hear Hyuga senpai yelling and by the sound of it he isn't holding back.

"Wait up jerks!"

"What! already?

"No time to think just keep running or else we'll be stuck doing more training!"

"(F/n) is right we have to show them that we're working hard too!" Furihata-kun said as we heard Hyuga senpai yell again making us run even faster

"I don't care, idiots!"

'Sorry Hyuga senpai but for once I want a break from training.'

Ayame POV

"Ayame thank you for taking the time to help us even if you to a different school from us you still came to help," Riko-san said as I smile.

"Of course, I'd come and help you did bring out a spark for (F/n) to come back to play basketball. The least I can do is help you out with their training," she smiled and looked outside where we could hear someone yelling.

'Someone has a good set of lungs.'

"Hey dad, is this a Fartlek?" Riko asked.

"If you don't mind me asking, what will Fartlek help in this situation?"

"Well by using their whole body to run over uneven ground, they'll improve their overall fitness

"Riko-tan, I knew you'd-"

"Just get on with your explanation!" She yelled as she punched him right in the face.

'Somehow I'm a little jealous that she has a dotting father but it's a bit weird how it's only onesided.' He began to rub his face to ease the pain he got from the punch.

"What Riko-tan just said is right, like I mentioned earlier they've all improved physically, but they're stiff. You can't just build muscles your body needs to be able to use them, for that to happen they need to become acclimated to the muscles they've built. Running around in the mountains is the fastest way to do that," he explained as I understood now.

"Your friend that went with them, seems to have achieved that already by your special training. What was she training for, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Ballroom dancing, I know it doesn't sound that difficult to do but when you do it professionally our body has to be fit for anything. For every turn and bend, we have to be able to do it in sync with our partners." He nodded as if he knows the feeling.

"In dance, you use muscles that aren't even in use at all and for the women, with the heels, that alone can help strengthen their ankle joints and muscles." He said as never thought about that.

"I see I should do some more research to help them for next year's competition," I said as I wrote down the information I just learn.

'Who knew that there was more to muscles than just stretching?'

Your POV

After three hours of running, we made it back to the gym and I can't believe how scary Hyuga senpai can be when he wants something.

"Before we begin practice, I'll tell you what you need to do by next month. Riko showed me a DVD of your opponent's play. They're an aggressive team of strong players who focus on individual skills. At first glance, they're the opposite of a team, that emphasizes team play like yours
However, if you ask me, their teamwork is much better than yours."

"What?" We were taken aback that they had better teamwork when they never showed it.

"They don't emphasize team play, of course, they just do it. Ignoring individual play doesn't cut it, the most important thing for everyone is to always be aiming for the basket. That's what makes a team come together, simply being friendly isn't teamwork." He explains as I remember how they acted from the last game we played against them.

"For example, four-eyes... you tried to dribble past someone in your last game against Touou."

"Yes," Hyuga senpai answered.

"That was stupid," kagetora-san said bluntly.

"What?"

"Why would you fight such a strong team with something you're bad at? Anyway, don't you make shots from the outside? Cutie and cat-face can shoot threes too, but they're far from being weapons, like the young lady."

"Cutie?" Izuki senpai said as he was shocked by the nickname.

"Cat-face?" Kogenai senpai was also surprised by his nickname.

"Young lady?" I was a bit confused by the nickname he gave me but it was better than there's.

"If you'd made your shots from the beginning against Kirisaki Dai Ichi, you would've won easily. Realize you're Seirin lifeline, learn to make shots without a screen."

"But how? I was dribbling because I couldn't..."

"I'll show you, cutie-kun pass me the ball," kagetora-san said as he pass the ball to cutie-I mean Izuki senpai.

"What? Kagetora-san is going to play?"

"Can he even play basketball?" The guys began to ask since this is the first time we have ever talked to him.

"Not only does he play..." Kiyoshi senpai said as we were surprised.

"Huh?"

"He used to play for Japan's national team," he said as I looked at him closely and I could see it.

'No way this guy was one of the people I looked up to back in elementary.' I wanted to observe as much as I could from him. What are the chances I get to see this again?

The minute Izuki senpai passed the ball, he managed to move fast that even Hyuga senpai couldn't react fast to stop him.

"Something like that, just so you know, that wasn't speeding, even you can do it. Teamwork starts to shine with a group of strong individuals, you'll develop your own weapons by the winter cup. In other words, they'll be your special ability, which some of you noticed during your summer training camp and have laid the foundations for. You have less than a month before the winter cup, I'll train you as much as I can for the price of bloody nothing." He said as we all got serious.

"Thank you, sir!" We thank him for everything he's doing for us.

Kuroko POV

Before we can continue with our training I had to ask them about Kagami's whereabouts.

"That aside, um..."

"Huh? Oh, by the way, where's Kagami?" Kogenai senpai asked.

"Oh right he said he's going to America to get special training," coach said as we all blinked.

"What?!"

Hello everyone hope you had a wonder day sorry I haven't been able to post a lot has been happening that I wasn't able to update and I've been sick for some time that I haven't been able to sleep much but today I was feeling better and I wanted to get some chapters done. I finally got to watch the movie called bubble and I wanted to write a fanfic about but then I got sick and had to put everything on hold.🥲🥲
Now I remember why I still wear mask in public, so I don't get sick easily. Anyway thanks for being patient and hopefully I can update as soon as I can.
