Your POV

As the game went on, I couldn't help but notice something was different. Shin-chan isn't playing any different from our last game and that was already giving me a bad feeling. His shots aren't something you can't block for long periods and especially during a full game, but at the same time, he has a limit of shooting from long distances. Making this game into an endurance match between him and Kagami.

'Shin-chan what are you up to? This isn't like you to act this way,' I grip my shorts unable to handle the tension in the air.

"(F/n) are you alright?" Kogenai senpai asked as I snapped out of my thoughts and nodded.

'Now is not the time to lose focus.'

Haruto POV

As Bokuto was losing his mind I couldn't help but notice that Midorima and Kagami have been replaying the same scene since the first quarter. Not only that Seirin has been able to keep up with their lead against Shutoku since the beginning.

"Haru what's up with you aren't you excited?!" Bokuto asked as I remain focused on the game.

"Bokuto I think there is a reason why he isn't excited," Akashi said as I sigh and looked at Bokuto and try to explain most simply as I can to him.

"As a volleyball player if you lose you won't get to play the next game correct?" I asked as he nodded.

"So let's say you lost a game to Nekoma and Nekoma lost a game to some other team. You guys know what losing a game feels like," I stated as he gave me an angry look.

"It would piss me off, even more since it's Kuroo, and I wouldn't even think about celebrating about every point I get!" He said outlook making me pull him down to his seat.

"Well it's sort of the same for them too, they're not risking anything to celebrate." He seem to get it well he acted as he did.

"In other words, Shutoku probably has a secret technique that no one will expect from them, not even (F/n) would expect from Midorima," Masaomi said making me worry what sorta trump card does Shutoku have.

"Looks like the redhead is getting exhausted quicker too," Kuroo said wonder if he'll be able to last long against Midorima now.

"Kagami is jumping around all over the place causing him to use up a lot of energy. Not only that Shutoku point guard is still on Kuroko making it hard to use misdirection." Masaomi seems concerned about the game makes me wonder if they have a chance to win now.

'If only they let her in the game now, Kagami can rest for a bit and she could Kuroko misdirection making it hard for Shutoku to keep up. Then again it's only the second quarter and using her wouldn't be a wise option at the moment.'

"I'm sure kitten has found a way to pass that guy," Kuroo said making me surprised that he believed in her skill.

"Why's that, Kuroo?"

"No one hasn't beaten her yet which means she might come up with something to win," he said as I smile.

"Yeah your right," Masaomi said as I smiled and an idea popped in.

"So do you guys want to place a bet to see if you are right?"  I said as they grin as well.

"Alright your on!" Bokuto said all fired up.

'Well, at least I'll be making easy money.'

Momo POV

I ran as fast as I could to see Tetsu-kun and Midorin game. As I reached the auditorium I saw that the game already started.

"They already started, Aomine-kun is such an idiot, he didn't even come," I said out loud as I catch my breath.

"Oh? Momocchi?" I heard someone say as I see Ki-chan.

"Are you here to watch Kurokocchi and Midorimacchi's game?" He asked making me happy that I wasn't alone anymore.

"Ki-chan!"

"Could you stop calling me that?" He said a bit embarrassed.

"But you're Ki-chan, are you alone?" I asked as he nodded.

"Yeah, I invited my team, but they all turned me down, it's disheartening." He said with a pout.

'Is that something you should say? I'm the one who's feeling disheartened.'

"I know, why don't we watch the game together?" He suggested which surprised me seeing I'm from the team that beat him last time.

"It's a little weird standing with someone who beat us, but we're both going to the winter cup. So how about a temporary truce?" He asked making me smile.

"Sure... anyway, how's the game going?" I asked as I looked at the court.

"It's getting pretty interesting," he said as I notice what he meant.

"They're double-teaming Midorin?" I said in surprise.

"They're not letting Midorimacchi take any shots," Ki-chan said as things started to heat up.

"They're fast!"

"What a quick attack!" I began to notice something that didn't happen last time.

'It looks different but they're playing just like us."

Your POV

"Two things have changed since Teppei joined, the first is the strengthening of our inside. The other is the quickening of our passing by cycling the ball with our point guard Izuki-kun. High-paced point wars are our specialty," she said with confidence making me surprised that Kiyoshi senpai has a major effect on our team.

'This is our senpais specialty.' As Izuki senpai made the shot the ball hit the rim making it a rebound. Unfortunately for us Shutoku caught it and pass it to Shin-chan, for him to make a long-distance three-pointer.

"All right!"

"Nice, Midorima!" Shin-chan's teammates patted his back. I could see Kagami was losing focus so I got up and yelled at him.

"Don't let it get to you, Bakagami!" I yelled as the guys try to get his head back in the game.

"You heard her Kagami," Kiyoshi senpai said as he and Hyuga senpai hit Kagami's head and chest.

"If they score, we'll score ourselves," Hyuga senpai said. It wasn't long until the buzzer for the second have to be over.

'The second half will be a point war, but we might be at a disadvantage in our current state. We don't have a way to stop Shin-chan and his team, but they don't have a way to beat us either.' I began to give the guys some towels and their drinks to re-energize themselves a bit.

"Listen up, honestly speaking, stopping Shutoku is difficult for us right now. Our only two choices are to score more than they do, or use our trump card now." Hyuga senpai said as felt like I should join but felt some grab my hand. It was Tetsu and it looks like he already knows the answer.

"However I want jeep our trump card as a last resort if we begin to fall behind," Hyuga senpai said making me a bit surprised.

"Senpai are you sure about this? The second half will be a point war, and if we fall behind-"

"Don't worry about that (F/n)-chan," Kiyoshi senpai said with a smile.

"Trust in your teammates (F/n)-chan," Izuki senpai said making me smile and nod.

"Alright," I said as the buzzer rang for the third quarter to begin.

"Even with Kiyoshi senpai, things will keep getting harder. We might not be able to stop Shutoku, and they've probably studied our performance as far back as last year. If we have any chance of winning it's probably Tetsu's new drive, but if they pull too far ahead before we can put Tetsu in, we'll be done for. Before that even happens then I'll do something to delay Shin-chan and his team.'

"Coach," I called her out as looked at me from the corner of her eye.

"If we start to fall behind then please put me in, not as a trump card but as a way to delay them from scoring." She seem surprised but smiled.

"I see that your all fired up now," she said making me smile

"More like wanting to help out my teammates win this game," I said as we locked eyes.

"Be ready then." I nodded as I felt Tetsu stare at me.

"I'll be fine Tetsu," he nodded as we focus back on the game.

'I'll be fine because I'm not alone.'
