As I prepare for our game against Shutoku I felt a bit anxious, and it's not just me. Since Shin-chan is one of the very few people I can trust some of my darkest secrets I'm pretty sure he knows if he holds back I won't forgive him so easily.

"Hey shrimpy stop staring at your boyfriend," Kagami teased as I glared at him.

"I'm not staring at him I'm observing our opponents to see how confident they are in winning. Unlike you Bakagami I try to find a way to beat our opponent and not just jump around like an idiot." I walked away before he could complain to me.

'Those eyes I've seen them before once and not on Shin-chan but in Akashi.'

Kagami POV

"Kagami-kun, " I turn to look at Kuroko looking at me.

"What?"

"Did you see Midorima-kun's face when he came in?" He asked meaning he saw what I saw.

"Yeah, he seems like a different person now."

"The members of the generation of miracles we've played until now we're undefeated and intelligent. They sat some defeats are meaningful and losing makes you stronger. Do you understand what that means?" Kyoshi senpai asked as I wasn't sure how to answer.

"For living creatures, victory is life and defeat means death," (F/n) said as Kyoshi senpai nodded.

"It's an extreme example, but humans retain that instinct. Those who know the terror of defeat, hunger for victory," he finished as I see what he meant.

"In a way, all generation of miracles are like starving beasts and they can be dangerous depending on how hungry they are for victory," (F/n) said as she let out a breath feeling the tension in the court.

"So you're a beast too since your part of the generation of miracles," I commented as she grabbed one of her spare hair ties and snaps it at my shoulder.

"Oww!"

"Careful Bakagami or next time I won't be so nice," she said as we glared at each other.

"Enough you two! I swear it's like your an old married couple." Izuki senpai said as we blush.

"I would rather be Sora's dance partner than being confused as his girlfriend," she said as I was ready to fight her.

"Hey knock it off Kagami " Hyuga senpai said as we stopped fighting.

"Remember they're not the only ones who've suffered a terrible loss," Hyuga said as he got up and we all did.

"You're right," Kyoshi senpai as he stepped into the court.

"One defeat is enough for me, they're not the only ones..."

"Who are starving," Kuroko said as he finished my sentence.

"(F/n) keep a close eye on their movement, if we seem to start having fewer points you'll be coming to help us," Hyuga senpai said as she nodded.

"Right, let's hope we don't get far from their points to win this game." She seem serious as we all went to line up.

Masaomi POV

I ran as fast as I could to watch the game on time, but thanks to Kise leaving me to do all the trash duty I barely made it on time.

"Kise when I find you, you're going to pay for this," I mumbled as I watch the ball being thrown in the air. I looked for a spot to watch the game and see no one I can recognize.

'Looks like Ayame isn't here either, meaning her dad is keeping her close.' I found a seat and sat down without a second thought.

"Well if it isn't kitten friend," I looked to my left and groan seeing who it was.

"Kuroo Tetsuro why am I not surprised you're here," I said as felt a headache just by being near him.

"Hey I know you your in that dance studio where my little cousin is at," Bokuto said as I sigh.

"If only I knew I would run into both of you two idiots I would have sat somewhere else. Also, why are you at a basketball game aren't you guys supposed to be at practice or something?" I asked them but they just grin and chuckled.

"If you must know I wanted to come to support our dear little kitten," Kuroo said with a calm look making regret sitting next to them.

"And I was invited by Haruto," Bokuto said with confidence.

"Though I'm starting to regret inviting you," I looked to my side and see Haruto in his school uniform.

'Yes, I'm saved!'

"Haruto senpai."

"Hey come on you know to call me Haruto or Haru," he said as he took a seat next to me.

"Taking a break from your manager duties today?"

"I didn't feel like dealing with Aomine so I let Momo-chan deal with him," he said as I smile seeing he was able to get away from their pervert idiot.

"Looks like they're not showing any signs of carelessness, if I'm not mistaken, if Shutoku's strategy hasn't changed, Seirin will need to shut down Midorima in order to win," Haruto said as he observed each player.

"Shutoku most likely to have a limit on how many times Midorima can shoot super long three-pointers," I said as the two volleyball captains seem a bit surprised, well one of them is. Bokuto just seems confused about the sport.

"Wait how come you know about that?" A guy that sat next to Bokuto asked as I smiled.

"If you've seen how long they are, justifying the ball reach the net requires his entire body's strength. Furthermore, after reviewing Seirin's last game with (F/n) and their coach they noticed Midorima spends a little more time winding up each shot he takes." I explain as they seem surprised that I would help Seirin out.

"So even if they can't block their shots, they'll push him to his limit, that way they can reduce his accuracy drastically," Kenma said as both me and Haruto nodded.

"In that case, Seirin has someone on their team who gave the carrot one hell of a hard time, and I'm going to guess this time he's at full power," Haruto said as I smiled.

"Close, Seirin has two capable players to give him a hard time," I said as they're all curious about the second player to shut down someone shooting range.

"The second championship game of the winter cup preliminaries between Seirin High and Shutoku High will now begin! Bow!" The referí said out loud to let everyone who was watching their game.

"Thank you for the game!" The guys yelled as the members of the Shutoku basketball club began to chant and cheer for them. As soon as the ball was thrown into the air both guys jumped to grab it. I couldn't tell who got it first but someone from Seirin caught the ball, it wasn't long until someone from Shutoku knocked it out of his hands.

"Woah they're not holding back!" Bokuto yelled as a member of Shutoku try to pass the ball only to have Kuroko stop the pass but it ended up in Midorima's hands. However, Kagami manages to stop him by knocking the ball out of his hands.

"Oh man just who is that guy, and look how high he can jump!"

"Kagami Taiga he's from the U.S his specialty is jumping higher than any normal high school student. If I'm not mistaken he is one of the very few people to have gained (F/n) trust and support. Though I don't know much about him he is quite terrifying if your playing against him," Haruto said almost as he analyzed him.

"Oh come on Haru don't be such a stick in the mud," Bokuto said as Haruto looked at him.

"It's called being observant and by the looks of it sparks are flying everywhere in this game," he said as I let out a breath that I've been holding in.

"Yeah, no kidding I almost forgot to breathe," as they start up the game again.

'Seems like this game is going to be intense.'

Hello everyone I hope everyone is safe and enjoying life. I am indecisive about the next chapter it's a Christmas chapter but I can't decide if I should make it one of the past when they were in Teiko or not. Since it's coming up soon I'll be posting it probably on Sunday or Monday cause I won't be able to log in for a few days until I return from my trip.
