Ayame POV

While we were waiting for our food to come (F/n) went to change clothes in the bathroom. I'm so glad I brought them today. I brought her the black tank top with black pants and her black running shoes. It just looks so amazing on her that she makes it hard for guys to ignore her.

'Okay I admit I been a fan of her since middle school but no girl can blame me for it. I mean come on the first girl in the guys' basketball team in teiko is not easy to forget. Let alone not easy to get in and they are merciless when it involves sports.' As they brought our food I was amazed by how big the meat they got. I glad I came but at the same time, I'm not. She came back and she looked so cool almost like an idol.

"Hey Ayame I'm might be late for practice today so go to the studio without me. I have to do something before I head to the studio." (F/n) said as she ate her salad.

"Really what?" I ask as she didn't answer.

"It's personal don't worry about it." I sigh and looked at the guys eat the meat away. Well at least someone was making jokes to keep the mood up.

"Excuse me," Kuroko said as he cleans his mouth.

"What's wrong do you need more water?" Hyuga asked.

"I give up." He said as I hold my laughter.

"Kuroko!" The whole team yelled.

"I should have known this would happen soon." I heard (F/n) say as I see her done with her food.

"Wow, I guess you're still hungry?"

"Nah I'm just thinking of something that's all. Though I think the guys will hate meat for a while." She said as I see each one looked like they are going to die if they take another bite.

'Another reason why I hate meat they can make you full easily.'

Your POV

'Honestly, I'm glad I had a salad. I might as well play on my phone while they finish.' I was about to pull my phone out only to hear someone happy.

"This is delicious! Maybe I'll get some more." Everyone looked up and see Bakagami still eating like nothing.

"Huh? If you're not gonna eat that, can I have it?" He asked as all the guys near him gave it to him.

'He's stuffing his cheeks like a squirrel. It almost reminds me of Mura-chan and Aoi-kun in a way. Maybe it's cause he eats all lot like they do.' He finished the sixth plate like nothing.

"Save me the hassle and please bring them all over here." He said as I couldn't believe it.

"Kagami thank you!" The other guys said as I got up and grab my things.

"Ayame pay with my card I'm going to get some fresh air. I'll see you at the studio in a bit." I said as I went to get some air as she nodded. Once I was outside I took a deep breath after smelling all that cooked meat.

"Man I'm glad I didn't eat any of that especially after see him eat all of it," I mumbled to myself as the door open and Kuroko came out with his bag.

"Kise?" He said which confused me.

"Huh?" I looked behind me to see he was there.

"Do you guys have a minute to talk?" He asked. I guess Tetsu waited for me to answer since he would normally be answering in his own opinion.

"Sure."

"Okay let's go over to the park that way we can talk in private."

'The park is outside you idiot. How can it be private?' We followed him to the park but we didn't talk much.

"Hey, Kise what do you wanna talk about? It better not be about 'him'." I warn him as we got close to the park.

"It's not about 'him' I promise. It's been a while since we last talked like this. How's your injury Kurokocchi?" He asked as I sigh in relief that we're not talking about that guy.

"I'm fine." We reached the benches and Kise sat on top of one with the ball in his hand.

"By the way, I saw Midorimacchi," Kise said as I was surprised by that.

"You saw Shin-kun?"

"Honestly I don't get along with him very well. Unlike you, he's always nice with you than with me." Kuroko said as I couldn't help but chuckle with Kise.

"Now that you mention it, you're right. Even before I join he was always nice to you to help you with your classwork and stuff. Yet that left hand of his is no joke though. Especially on a good day for cancer." Kise said all serious about the last part.

"Yeah," Kuroko agreed as I didn't bother to deny it.

"Seem like he just came to watch today's game. Anyway... first you two turned me down and then I lost today's game. Everything's going wrong with my life right now. I didn't expect you guys to say yes, but I was serious." Kise said as he kept his balance from falling to the ground.

"You'll fall over if you keep doing that," I warn him as stopped doing what he was doing.

"Sorry" I looked to Kuroko and see he meant it.

"I'm kidding. Anyway, I wanted to ask you for both your reason... Why, right after the middle school championship game, did you two disappear?" He asked with a sad look.

"Well?"

"You know my reason. After that incident, I couldn't even trust my judgment on what to do. Without that, I didn't have a chance to move on. After what happened to everyone that day with him and Mura-chan nothing was the same. Our team practice we had meant nothing to you guys. Sei-kun changed the most his affectionate side went dry to the point where I got hurt and he did nothing to help me. At that point, the only thing I could do to stop from becoming like the rest of you was to leave. From there I think you know what happens." He seems sad that my reason for leaving the team was them.

"I'm sorry (F/n)cchi I didn't know we caused you to leave. In truth that day you got hurt I didn't know about it. I thought he meant the other team, not you." He said with a sad look in his eye. I can tell he meant it after all these years I can still read him like a book.

"Well, I can tell you mean it so I'll forgive you. But if try that again I'll make sure you go through Hell with the training I go through every single day." He nodded as he knew I never joke around with my warning.

"Well, Kurokocchi why did you leave?" He asked as he threw the ball at him.

"I'm not sure." He answered.

"What?"

"It's true I began to question teiko's policies because of the championship game. I felt we lacked something." He explains to Kise as I knew what he meant.

"Sports are all about winning. What could be more important?" He asked not getting what Tetsu meant.

"I thought the same thing until recently. So I still don't know exactly what's wrong with it, but... all I know is I hated basketball at that time. The feeling of the ball, the squeak of basketball shoes, the swish of the net. I started playing because I loved the game. That's why I was so impressed when I met Kagami. He loves basketball from the bottom of his heart. He seems to have been through rough times, but he still takes basketball more seriously than anyone else." Kuroko explains as I felt guilty a bit. To think I try to put him down yet I don't know why he bothers to prove it.

"I don't get it... I can say one thing though... if you think so highly of Kagami because of his attitude towards basketball, someday the two of you... will part ways. That also includes you (F/n)cchi." Kise said as I didn't think about it.

"The biggest difference between me and the other four isn't our physical abilities. They all have a special ability not even I can imitate. Yet (F/n)cchi could without a problem. Yet I realized during today's game that he's still learning. Just like the generation of miracles, he has a unique ability. For now, he's still an immature challenger. He's enjoying the thrill of recklessly playing strong opponents. However, someday he will achieve the level of the generation of miracles and grow apart from his team. When he does, do you really believe Kagami won't be a different person?" He asked as I sigh.

"You bastard, why'd you disappeared like that?" Kagami said as he hit Tetsu in the back.

"What are you doing here Bakagami and why did you hit Tetsu like that? He's injured enough as it is."

"That's the same thing I wanna ask you. Why are you here?" He said as we glared at each other. He turns away only Kise seeing was sitting there.

"Yo"

"Were you listening?

"I sure as hell was. What the hell are you kidnapping Kuroko for? I could care less about her." I was close punch his meal if says one more comment like that.

"What? Who cares if I talk with him a little bit? Plus she allowed it and you're being a little rude to her you know." Kise said as he defended me.

"We can't go home. The coach won't shut up about responsibility or something. We've been looking for him and her word doesn't mean anything to me." I sigh as I walked to where the ruckus in the court was happening.

'They're too into their discussion might as well have some fun.' Tetsu and I stood at the entrance and watch how they play. The three boys seem to play well but the other guys seem to have dirty tricks ready at hand. As one went to score one of the extra guys butted in.

'That's it, I won't stand here and let them ruin this game by playing unfair.' I got the ball and passed it to Tetsu who began to spin it where he would stand.

"Sorry I can't hear you." Once he was done kicking the boy he got burn by the speed of the ball that was spin.

"There's nothing fair about this," Tetsu said as I help the boy up to where his friends were at.

"It's alright leave it to us," I whispered to them as they nodded.

"Who the hell are you? Where'd you come from?" He began to question as he holds his nose.

"This isn't basketball. Besides violence is bad." Tetsu said.

"What do you think you're doing?" One of the guys grabbed him. I tap his shoulder which got his attention and let go of Tetsu.

"What do you want to date cutie." He asked as I smiled. Yet what he got was a kick that I learn from watching some girl fight a group of thugs. When he fell to the ground I got back on my feet and walked towards Tetsu.

"If you think of touch Tetsu like that I won't hesitate to send you all to the hospital." Some seem to be taken back by my words but not the guy who hurt the boy.

"Well, there are still guys like this these days. Fine then let's settle this with basketball." He said as he stares at me but not at my face but somewhere lower.

"Hey, my eyes are here," I said as pointed where to look.

'Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." I felt someone's hand on my head and I knew it wasn't Kise.

"Mind if we play too?" Kise asked as he stood next to Tetsu.

"Why'd you get involved, bastard? You too shorty." Kagami asked as I pushed his hand off my head.

"You can leave if you want unless you want me to kick you like I did to that guy," I said as we glared at each other.

'I take it back what I thought about being guilty he can suffer all he wants.' I notice the guys seem scared that we had some bigger guys.

"Five on four fine. Bring it on." I said but it seems they didn't want that at all.

"What'd you say?!"

"What are you scared I mean I am just a girl that does dance and some self-defense. What can go wrong?" I mocked them and they seem to take the bait.

"Fine!"

'What a bunch of idiots.'

Time skip

After a nice game, I felt alive again yet I felt bad that they didn't have a shot of winning. Not with three miracles they had zero chance.

"Well that was a fun warm-up I should probably call Ayame and let her know I'll be late," I  said Tetsu as he nodded.

"Yeah mind if I go with you?"

"Sure it might be better since I'll be coming home late," I said as I went to the bench we were at.

"What were you thinking?! Did you think you could win if it turns into a fight?!" Kagami began to lecturing us which was weird.

"No, they would have beaten me up. Yet (F/n) would be have been fine with self-defense she's learned."

"You bastard!"

"Look at these guns." He said as we showed him our arms.

"You don't have any!" Kagami said.

"Well she does but Kurokocchi you can be amazing sometimes," Kise said as looked up at the sky.

"We thought those guys were terrible. I just wanted to tell them but (F/n) on the other hand wanted to give them the proper lesson." Tetsu said putting me on the spot.

"Yeah sure blame me for your choice Tetsu," I mumbled.

"You should've considered the consequences first!" Kagami warns him.

"I forgot to."

"Yeah right."

"Don't give me that crap!" He said as I was shocked that he uses that language.

"I'm sorry." Tetsu apologize.

"Bakagami watch that toung of your before I wash it with soap!" I said making him know we're out in public.

"You'd said yourself they could beat you up!" He said as he ignores me.

"Sorry."

"I should get going. I finally got to play with you Kurokocchi, (F/n)cchi." Kise said as he began to walk.

"Kise wait. Here I want you to come and watch our competition tomorrow. Ayame had four extra tickets so take them. Kasamatsu senpai has his because of Masaomi. You can bring your teammates if you want." I said as I handed him the envelope with the extra tickets.

"Thanks, and you can bet on us going there to cheer for you and Masaomicchi." He said as we fist bump like we use to. As he got close to the exit as he turns back around.

"And don't think I've forgotten about my revenge Kagamicchi!" I hold my laugh hearing him call Bakagami like that.

"K-Kagamicchi?!" He questions him for the new name.

"Kise adds "-cchi" to the names of those he acknowledges That's great for you," Tetsu explains as I let some giggles out.

"Yeah, it's a great honor for an amateur," I said as he glared at me.

"Shut up shorty! And I don't want that!" He said as I kept laughing.

"Don't lose in the preliminaries!" Kise yelled as kept walking.

'Kise sure hasn't changed but I'm glad I have an old friend back.' I then remembered something that I turn towards Kagami.

"What?"

"Kagami I'd like to ask you something. Did you hear our conversation with Kise?" I asked as Tetsu seem to know what I was worried about.

"About us parting ways? We don't even get along in the first place. Plus it was Kuroko who said I couldn't do it alone. If he's right there's nothing to worry about. Besides... both of you seem to always stand by the light. That's your basketball." He said as I was touched by his words.

"Kagami that was pretty deep," Tetsu said.

"Shut up!" And the mood is gone with that.

"Let's go I'll just pass by the studio on the way home." As I grab our bags.

"Right." We began to exit the park but I recognize the coach's voice.

"There you are! Geez!" She yelled next thing I knew she had Tetsu in a hold that I haven't seen before. At least until now.

"All right let's go home," Hyuga said as I try to stop coach from hurting Tetsu any more than he is now.

"Coach please I can explain..." I try but it looks like she won't listen.

"K-Kagami..." Tetsu tries to call for help but Kagami just turns around and did nothing and kept walking with the others.

"Save... save me..."

"Coach he went with me to do the errand since he wanted to make sure I was safe please just let him go," I said as she looked at me with serious us.

"Really?"

"Yes really we just finish that errand so can you please let him go," I begged her as she let him go.

"Fine since he was with you I'll let it go. Just warn us next time." She said as she grabs her things and walked where the others went.

"Yes, ma'am thank you."

'Note to self stay on coach's good side.'
