The next day in her science class, Star decided to sit beside the guy who had sparked her interest. He was laughing along with his friends until he had noticed her beside him. His pearl white teeth flashed when he smiled at her. She felt many large butterflies roaming in her stomach.
He leans in and asks "I don't think we've formally introduced ourselves. My name is Cal and I love listening to music with hidden meanings."
Star replies "My name's Star, people usually see me as shy but I believe that my headphones are essential to blocking out those comments."
After the class had finish, and after staring at each other for and hour, Cal asked Star "Im sorry if I'm rushing things, but I had a nice time talking to you today and wanted to know if you wanted to get some ice cream after school today."
As much as Star wanted to scream out yes, she thought he was rushing things a bit too quickly. Then she realized that even if she wanted to, she would have to have a rain check because she has art club after school.
