The queen's egg benedict

This dish is a breakfast course made by Erina during the buffet challenge at camp in ep 13

Servings: 4 people

Ingreients:

. 4 Slice thick cut Bacon

. 4 Eggs

. 1 Litre of water

. 100 cc vinegar

. 4 Egg yolks

. 80 grams of Butter

.Pasley, lettuce leaves, salt, pepper, butter

. 2 Teaspoons each worcestershire sauce and lemon juice

. 2 English muffins

.Karasumi

Method:

1. Pour water and vinegar into a pot, bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat. Stir the liquid with a spoon to create a small swirl, and then crack one egg into that swirl. After 2 min, scoop the egg out with a slotted spoon and douse in cool water. Repeat step for all the eggs

2. Make the hollandaise sauce. Put the egg yolks in a double boiler, and while they are warming, mix with a hand mixer. Remove once room temperature.

3. Melt the butter in the microwave and split into 4 equal portions. Slowly add step 2 and mix throughly. Add the worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and lemon juice and mix throughly to finish the sauce.

4. Cut the bacon slices into quarters and cook in a frying pan unil brown on both sides.

5. Slice the english muffins in half, toast, and spread with butter. Top with bacon from step 4.

6. Dry the poached egg from step 1 and place on top of step 5. Drizzle the hollandaise sauce from step 3 on top and sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated karasumi. Place on a plate, decorate with lettuce leaf, and done!

Notes:

. If You don't have thick cut bacon, any bacon will do

.cc stands for cubic centimetres

.instead of butter you can use marg.

.Karasumi is a food product made by salting mullet roe and drying it by the sunlight. You do not need to add this if not wantted

. If You don't have a double boiler, put a heat proof bowl ontop of a sauce pan fill with water a third of the way

. if You dont like parsley you can leave it out or replace it with another herb

. VEGETARIANS: In replacement of bacon you can use Tempeh, shiitake mushroom, seitan
