Italian Tomato somen/Mitamura Special Napolitan

A Western style Japanese Cuisine dish made by Mitamura in ep 35 (season 2) chapter 108 when Hisako and Souma stay to help Mitamura run his restaurant. This is an extremly yummy dish, which brings out the Western style cooking so enjoy!

Servings: Around 2 people

Ingredients:

.150 grams of Somen noddles

.1/2 Cucumber

.1/4 Carrot

.6 slices of Smoked Salmon

.2 Tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive oil

.300 cc Tomato juice or tomato based sauce

.1 tablespoon each, white miso and extra virgin olive oil

.1 teaspoon crushed garlic

.Black pepper

For garnishing

.Smoked salmon and basil leaves

.Optional cheese

Method:
1. Put 300 cc of tomato juice, 1 tablespoon white miso 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon crushed garlic and black pepper in a bowl and mix well, and then place in the fridge to chill.

2. Shred the cucumber and carrot. Cut the smoked salmon into thin strips.

3. Boil the somen noddles. Cool slightly with cold water and then shake off excess liquid.

4. Put the ingredients in step 2 and 3 together in a bowl and mix with olive oil.

5. Put the sauce from step 1 on a plate and add the ingredients from step 4 and mix slightly. Wrap the smoked salmon strips into rose shapes and place on top. Add basil leaves on top for effect and colour then enjoy!!

Notes:
.cc stands for cubic centimetre
. It's understandable if some of you dont eat 'raw' fish or food so a possible replacement could be ham
.The oil doesn't need to be extra virgin olive, any is fine except for (sesame oil, peanut oil)
. With the tomato juice you can add some chopped up fresh tomato
. 1 Teaspoon of crushed garlic is equal to around 1 garlic clove
.Other herbs or leaves besides basil is fine
.For those people who don't know, shreding vegetables is by using a grater
.Before serving it is possible to toss the ingredients together slightly in a frypan to heat the ingredients up more or is desired heat the sauce slightly in a pan before mixing with somen (DON'T overheat)
.It's possible to add a more varity of seafood to the dish
.In step four is it possible to skip putting extra oil in the pasta.
.Season with a pinch of salt only if required
.Tomato sauce can be made with fresh tomatos
.How the end result may look like.

Vegetarians: How I said you could use ham to replace salmon, well to replace ham is vegetarian ham!

I felt like it was important to mention you can add, more meat, vegetables to this and you can def add Cheese.
