"(F/N)-chan! I'll be leaving first~" Your best friend Alice chirped as she gracefully glided away. Sighing at your friend's childish behaviour, you walked back to the kitchen and packed up your knives. You glanced behind you and saw a black haired boy with obvious bags under his eyes, "how long are you going to take?" He asked in a bored tone.

"Hey! Can't you be patient?" You pouted and gently smack his head. The boy grunted in response. "Okay, let's go~" You sang and skipped out of the class. You and Kurokiba were basically inseperable, but you weren't a couple either. Whenever someone asked whether if you two were a couple or not, you would always stutter in response and blushly madly. You like Kurokiba and you knew he liked you, but neither of you were brave enough to admit it so you two stayed as 'friends'.

"(F/N)..." He began. You hummed in response and turned your attention towards him. He reached into his pocket and brought out two silver rings. You panicked. "W-w-what is t-th-this?!" You shrieked, jumping back. "I... I'm n-n-not r-ready t-to g-get m-m-m-ma-rried y-yet!" You stammered, creating a scene. Everyone nearby stopped and stared at you, whispering to each other. Kurokiba let out a soft growl and grabbed your hand, forcefully dragging you behind the school.

"(F/N), its not like that," He sighed frustratedly.

"Then what is it? Do you want to propose to Alice and you want me to help you?"

"Not that either."

"Then what is it?"

"It's a promise ring." He stated.

"What do you mean by that?" You asked, raising a brow.

"We've been together for a while now... And I like you."

"Wow so straight forward."

"I'm serious," He said as he stared into your eyes.

"Hm? Okay~" You hummed and stood on your tippy toes as you pecked his nose. A light blush formed on his face as he slipped the ring into your ring finger. You grinned at him and skipped away while you sang "I'm so happy aha! Happy go lucky me~" Kurokiba sweat dropped and followed you behind. "Does that mean we're officially a couple?" You asked, the crimson eyed boy shrugged in response. "I guess..." He murmured.

Even though you and Kurokiba were officially a couple, you were also in good terms with Hayama. Sometimes, you would hang out with him and Kurokiba would get jealous because of this.

One day, you were walking out of class as you waved a 'goodbye' to Hayama. "Wait here (F/N)," Kurokiba said when you walked out of the classroom. He walked over to Hayama. Gripping his shirt and pushed him to the wall. "Stay away from (F/N), you hear that?!" He growled, glaring at Hayama.

"It's not like you own (L/N), she gets to choose on her own," Hayama replied as he stared seriously back at Kurokiba.

Kurokiba loosened his grip slightly, "Tch, I know that." He muttered and let go of Hayama causing him to fall onto the ground. "This is a warning, if you go near (F/N) again, I'll kill you." With that, he walked off with his hands in his pockets. You ran up to Hayama. "Are you okay?" You asked. He nodded. "I'm so sorry about Ryou, he's normally not like that," You apologised and bowed down 90 degrees, offering your hand to him.

"Its fine, it happens a lot," He replied as he accepted your hand and got up.

After what happened, you didn't see Kurokiba for a few weeks, nor did he wait for you after class. I wonder if he's still mad... You thought as you walked out of class one day, not looking at what was in front of you. "Ah sorry!" You mumbled as you bumped into someone. The person turned their head to you and your eyes widened in surprise. "Ryou," you murmured.

"If you're not going to say anything then I'll go."

"Wait, Ryou-!" But he was already gone. You looked down at your feet. What did I do wrong?

"(L/N)!" You heard Hayama yell from behind you. Turning your head, you hummed in response. "Didn't you say you wanted to learn more about spices? You can come with me to Jun's lab today," He said.

"Oh really? That would be great! Are you sure I'm not going to be a bother?" You joked. The white haired male chuckled and ruffled your hair.

"Thank you so much for teaching me about spices and doing this favour Hayama-san! I really owe you a lot!" You thanked the white haired boy and left Jun's lab.

After leaving Jun's lab, you decided to go back to your room. I think I should text Ryou first. You thought as you took out your phone from your pocket.

To Kurokiba Ryou,

Hi Ryou! I'm really sorry about what happened. I really am. So can you forgive me? D: ;-; (╯︵╰,)

Also, I have a challenge for you; Don't think about me for a week and when you completed that challenge, go see Hayama-san and he will tell you something really really important.

Love (L/N) (F/N)

"Sent!" You giggled to yourself.

When Kurokiba received the message, he was really confused. But he didn't question it and just got along with it.

A week after not thinking about you, he got a call fro Alice. "Ryou! (F/N)-chan is in the hospital!" Alice shouted from the other end of the phone, his heart stopped upon hearing what Alice just said. "Which hospital?" He managed to say. He could hear her crying from the other end.

"The one near the school!" She replied. He dropped his phone and took off running to the hospital near Tōtsuki. When he got there, he saw Hayama waiting on a bench outside a surgery room with Alice leaning against the wall crying next to him. "Alice, what happened to (F/N)?" Kurokiba asked in a worried tone. Surprised at Kurokiba's really out of character personality, "(F/N)-chan... She uh..." She sniffed and dabbed her eyes with a tissue.

"Let me explain," Hayama said as he stood up from the bench he was sitting on. "(L/N)-san has cancer..." He explained.

"This... This isn't true right?" Kurokiba asked. He already knew the answer, but he wanted someone to say that it wasn't true and it was just a prank.

"Ryou..." Alice murmured.

The surgery light went off and everyone turned their attention towards the door of the surgery room. A doctor walked out and turned towards Kurokiba and the others. "You guys must me (L/N)-san's friends right?" The doctor asked. Alice nodded. The doctor stared sadly at the ground. "I am terribly sorry to say this... But, we couldn't save your friend..." The doctor said and bowed before walking away. Alice began to cry even more and hugged Kurokiba. "I'm sorry Ryou, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier. (F/N)-chan didn't want you to worry!" She cried as he gripped onto Kurokiba's shirt. Hayama stared at Alice with a saddened expression. "(L/N)-san wanted me to give you this..." Hayama said as he walked up to Kurokiba and handed him a piece of paper along with the ring he gave you a few months ago.

Alice let go of Kurokiba and stood beside him. His hands were shaking as he took the piece of paper from Hayama, frowning at him. He unfolded the paper and began to read it.

Dear Ryou, wait no scratch that. Hey Ryou!

If you're reading this then I'm guessing I didn't survive, so um a letter from the dead LOL. Anyways, I'm so happy you were able to complete the challenge I gave you! I'm happy that you were able to not think about me for a whole entire week. (Not that I'm really that surprised. Knowing you, it would be a piece of cake XD).

Now Ryou, do this everyday.
