Chapter two: Captured
[Jay's POV]
I was starting to think that the hurt animals were a natural cause, until the Lightning. And on a clear cloudless day. I looked at Lloyd, and he nodded. Another person with elemental abilities. We ran faster after this.
As we tore through the trees, we saw a teenager sitting in a tree, staring down at us. He was around 15, maybe 16. He had shaggy dark brown hair and wore glasses.
Up from his perch, he flicked his hand, and a bolt of lightning shot down at us. We all dodged out of the way, and I shot a bolt back. He let it hit him, and didn't even flinch. Instead he smiled, like he had had a burst of energy. Lloyd shot an energy ball, but the kid jumped down from the branch. He closed his eyes, and grimaced. A loud, high-pitched sound tore through the air, and I fell, screaming in pain.

[Lloyd's POV]
After the noise had stopped, I reached up to my ears. I felt no blood, and could hear the sounds of wildlife around me.
He hadn't damaged anything, but it hurt. A lot.
I looked up, and the kid looked drained. He looked at me in surprise. "Why does nothing ever work right," He muttered.
I looked around at my fellow ninja. They were out cold.
The kid walked over to me, and as a fist flew towards my face, the world went black.

When I woke up, I was in a tree. A tall tree. Very tall. As I looked down, the kid was running away.
'What is this gonna do to me?' I think. I climb down as quick as a whip and sneak up to the kid. I grab some bark, roll it up, stick it in my ears, then I pounce, and pin the kid to the ground. He screams, and it didn't hurt nearly as much as before. I don't black out, so I punch him, and he conked out cold.
