Summer

Wow. I. Can't. Believe it! Lloyd just asked me out!!!!! Of all people he chose me. Why?  By the time we got back to the Monastery, everyone was giving me weird looks cause I was still very hyped after what happened with Lloyd. Nya asked me why and I just shrugged it off. Honestly, I don't want everyone to find out yet mainly cause I'll never hear the end of it and I don't think Jay would be too happy about that. But meh, what the heck I don't care right now. All I care about now is Lloyd.

Lloyd

Yes! I finally did it! I finally asked her out! Took me a couple kisses but I, Lloyd Garmadon, asked the most awesome girl in the world Summer Walker on a date! Right now, I don't really want everyone else to know yet cause I think the others guys are still suspicious about me after Summer's first night with us. I'm still smiling as I fall asleep and the best part about it is the guys didn't notice or say anything about my some what unnatural happiness.

We spend the day just doing what we normally do on a Sunday (since there's no training). Sensei's meditating in this room, Mum's working on stuff for the Ninjago Museum, the other guys are playing Fist-to-Face 4 and Nya and Summer are chatting in their room. Speaking of Summer, I need to get ready for our date. I'm just planning on keeping it simple-long sleeve green shirt, puffy vest, jeans and converse. I'm going to take her to a small, quiet restaurant cause it's not very popular where fangirls can recognise me but just in case, I'm taking hazel eye contacts to mask my green eyes. I really hope this goes well and I hope Summer will enjoy it as much as I will.

Summer

Nya and I spend the whole day in our room doing normal girl things. We did quizzes from magazines, played a mini version of truth or dare (there were more dares...) and talked about a lot of things. But whenever I had a spare moment, I found myself thinking about Lloyd. Our date is tonight. I still haven't told Nya because I still don't feel ready for everyone else to know yet. I think Lloyd's feeling the same because he's not in the game room with the guys (Yes, I played Fist-to Face 4 and I had the pleasure of kicking their butts) Tonight, I'm planning on wearing the same beanie, gloves and jeans but this time, I'm wearing a light blue long sleeve shirt, grey woollen jacket and black flats and my hair will be let down. I look at the clock, it's 5:00. Come on! Hurry up so I can go on my date!  I sigh. The one time I want time to go fast, it goes absolutely sluggish.

Lloyd

It's finally time. I get changed in our room cause the guys are still playing games. I pocket my contacts and phone and slip out the window and head for the Bounty. Summer's already waiting for me and all I could think was wow... She still looked absolutely gorgeous as always, her long black hair flowing down her back and her bright blue eyes glowing in the darkness.

"Hey," she smiles as I climb on.

"Hey," I reply back, "How did you get here so quickly? I thought Nya would be watching you like a hawk." She laughs and I chuckle a bit too.

"Nah. It's Nya's turn to cook tonight and I told her I was having a shower."

"But you did way more than having a shower," I say, bring her to the centre of the deck, "You're going out with me." She blushes slightly and I feel myself going a bit red too. I form my dragon and climb on, hold my hand out to her. Summer takes it, electricity coursing through my veins and climbs on behind me, wrapping her arms around my torso. I stiffen a bit but relax quickly, finding myself enjoying her touch.

"You ready to go?" I whisper to her.

"Let's go," she whispers back, smiling.

Summer

Lloyd flew us to New Ninjago City, my hair flying behind me. I took my beanie off before we took off so I don't have to hold it and so I can hold onto Lloyd. I lean my head on Lloyd's back and sigh. He smells like the night breeze and sugar. Wait, why am I smelling Lloyd? Stalker much. A couple seconds later we landed in an alleyway so we don't attract attention from the people. Lloyd says he's gotta do something quickly and leaves. I pull my beanie out of my bag and put it on when my phone goes off. I turn it on and I feel sick in my stomach almost instantly. It was a text from Jay.

Jay: Summer, where are you? Nya's absolutely freaking out and everyone else is really worried cause you and Lloyd have disappeared. Could you please tell us where you are and also find Lloyd as well??

This isn't good. I'm about to call Lloyd when he come back with but he seems different. His eyes. They're hazel instead of the bright green that would glow in the darkness. What happened to his gorgeous eyes?! Wait, did I just think that?!

"Lloyd-" I begin but he places on finger on my lips.

"Shush Summer, it's fine," he soothes, "It's just contacts. It's just a disguise so the people of Ninjago won't recognise me."

"OK, but Lloyd?"

"Yes, Summer?"

"Jay sent me a text saying that everyone's worried about us but they don't know we're going out."

"It's fine Sparky," he soothes again. Sparky, I like that!  "They don't have to know for now. OK?"

"OK Lloyd,"

"Jesse, call me Jesse when we're eating"

"OK, Jesse," I giggle as I take Lloyd's hand. He lead me to a small quiet restaurant a couple blocks away and we sat down and both ordered pizza.

Lloyd

Summer and I both ordered pizza and as we ate, we talked about ourselves more. Summer told me more about herself. She said she was the lead singer and guitarist of a band called 'Leaving Summer' and did gymnastics for three years. I was nervously freaking out in the inside. All I thought was wow... she's so amazing... I don't think Jay and Nya told her everything about the team and I'm not sure if I wanted to tell her about my evil past, the fact I skipped about 10 years of my life and the final battle against Dad who was possessed by the Overlord.

"Uh Lloyd? Uh I mean Jesse! Are you alright?" Summer quickly corrects herself, blushing slightly.

"Ummm yeah. What up?"

"Are you alright? When I finished, you seem really worried. Did something happen?" Fudge.. am I really that obvious?

"Uh yeah... it's just..." I sigh and take a deep breath, "I'm not exactly proud about my past and...." Oh great... I sound like Dad now...

"What's not to be proud of?" she asks, "After all, the thing that matters now is who you are now," Wow... she's so wise... "Do you want to let it out? That always helps me."

"Sure." And I tell her everything, from Mum leaving me at Darkley's when I was a baby, running away from Darkley's when I was 7 and releasing all the serpentine just to be like Dad (who went by Lord Garmadon at the time), becoming good with the ninja, training and the Grundle. Honestly, telling her that I skipped 10 years of my life was really hard but the amazing thing was she listened the whole time. She asked a couple questions but she just listened. I then told her about the past year with the final battle, the evil nindroids and Chen's 'Tournament of Elements'. And once again, she listened. If it was a fangirl, I wouldn't have made it to the second part of the story but Summer made it less painful telling it. She really is amazing....

"Wow... You've come a long way..." Summer says, looking straight into the eyes.

"Yeah..." I say, "Hey do you want to head out?"

"Yeah, can we go back to the karaoke hut?" Summer asks standing up.

"Why?"

"I dunno," she shrugs, "I had a great time the last time we went there."

"Cool!"

"Oh and Lloyd?"

"Yes Sparky?" I look at her in the eye. Summer blushes as she asks in a small voice, "can you please take off your contacts? I'd rather look in your green eyes than hazel,"

I smirk as I lean closer and press the money into Summer's hand, "Gimme a couple seconds, OK?" she leans closer for a quick kiss on my cheek and smiles back.

"OK."
