Summer

I knocked on Sensei's door, feeling really nervous.

"Yes, who is it?" came Sensei's voice from inside.

"It's Summer. Can I come in?" After Lloyd left last night, I practised spinjitsu a couple more times and got the hang of it. I just hope I don't mess up in front of Sensei.

"Yes, you may," I slide the door open to find Sensei meditating in front of me.

"Sit down Summer," he says, gesturing to the mat laying in front of me. I do so, my hands sweating slightly.

"So, what brings you here?" he asks, pouring himself a cup of tea,

"Ummm I've just mastered spinjitsu." I was freaking out so much internally. What if I stuff up in front of Sensei? Then I'll be back on square 1. After what happened last night with Lloyd last night.

"Hmmm would you like to demonstrate in the courtyard?

"Yes Sensei."

"Meet me out there in 10 in your gi." I nod and leave the room. I quickly head back to my shared room and get changed. As I emerge out of the bathroom in my ninja gi, pulling my gloves on, Nya comes in.

"What are you doing? It's Saturday, no training today, remember?" she asks, turning on her laptop.

"I'm gonna show Sensei my spinjitsu," I answer, grabbing my hood.

"Really? Can I watch just for moral support?"

"Sure," I glance at the laptop on her desk, "Whatcha doing?"

"I'm planning on going out with just us and the guys. It's been a while since we hung out and you're here so I thought we might go out somewhere cool. Got any ideas?"

"None at the moment," I relpy, "Come on, let's go." We head out to the courtyard (after getting the same question from the guys) and I see Sensei in his usual place, his tea set up and prepared.

"Ah Summer, I've see you've brought the whole gang with you. Are they here for moral support?"

"Yes Sensei," I answer taking my place at the start of the course. Zane asks Zane to time it as I repeat the same words in my mind. Move with the beat Summer, move with the beat Summer...

"Are you ready Summer?" Zane asks. I take a deep breath and look back towards Lloyd and he winks at me. I smile back, pull my hood up and answer with "Yes."

"AAaaannnnnddddd BEGIN!" Sensei shouts. I immediately start the course, Eye of the Storm playing in my head.

I finish just when the song ends again and I start spinning. After practising a couple more times yesterday, I've gotten used to the spinning so Lloyd won't have to catch me every time.

"WOO HOO!"

"YEAH! GO SUMMER!"

"YOU DID IT SIS!"

"YEEEAAAHHH!

I stop spinning as everyone else starts cheering.

"Summer, you're time is 3:40," Zane says.

"Which means you have mastered spinjitsu," Sensei finishes as everyone starts screaming and cheering, "Well done Summer,"

Thanks you Sensei," I bow to him and an idea popped into my head, "Nya! I know where to go tonight!"

Oh my god! Why didn't I think of that?!

"Sensei," I say, "I have something to ask you."

"Yes Nya?"

"Would it be alright if we go out tonight to hang out?" I ask.

"And where would that be?" I looked to Summer and she grinned.

"Karaoke."

Lloyd

The guys and I wait outside ready to head out to karaoke. We're dressed in hoodies, converses and scarves so the fangirls don't recognise us and because it's cold. Sensei and Mum were staying back. Sensei originally didn't want us to go but after a word from Mum (thanks Mum!), he finally let us go. Zane told us he doesn't want to sing so we made him be judge and film the whole thing, which was fine by him. Kai and Jay are already planning their performance and are 'practising'. Seriously, I think I'll take Cole's cooking over their 'practising' any day now. Kai tried to invite Skylor but she had to tend to her family business.

"Sorry we took so long," Nya says, coming out in a red jumper, jeans and converse. Jay immediately takes his place on her left.

"Where's Summer?" Cole asks.

"Right here Rocky," a voice says and as we all turn around, all I thought was wow... Summer was wearing a pale blue woollen jumper, jeans and black boots with no heel. She was also wearing a grey beanie and grey woollen fingerless gloves that went up to her elbows. Wow...

"Ready to go guys?" Zane asks, interrupting my thoughts.

"Yes," I answer and Summer walks next to me and curls her fingers around mine and slips a note into my hand. I let go and read it.

I lean over and whisper, "No, thank you," as her face goes bright pink. I grin as we summon our dragons and fly toward the city.

OK, so Round 1 is down and I somehow made it to Round 2 . Well, basically everyone but Kai and Jay made it to Round 2. They sang a TERRIBLE duet of See You Again. We also had Uptown Funk (Cole), Elastic Heart (Nya), On My Own (Summer) and Unbreakable Heart (me). Round 2 just started and Cole, Nya and Summer just performed (After the Blackout, Black Magic and Beautiful Times respectively). It's my turn now. I walk up to the machine, gripping the microphone tightly. I type in the song and take my place in front of the screen as 'Boys Like Girls - Thunder' appears on the screen and I begin to sing.

The others cheer for me as Zane tells us our results, Summer being the loudest. Cole and Summer make it to the final round. Nya seemed a bit upset that she didn't make it but I was fine with it. Cole then jumped up and started singing the Weekend Whip with the rest of us rocking out along with him. The song quickly ended and Summer stood up, looking really nervous. Come on Summer, you can do it. She enters her song and takes her place in front of the screen. 'Lindsey Stirling feat. Lzzy Hale - Shatter Me' appears on the screen and it starts off with a ticking noise then the music becomes a bit daunting. Summer takes a deep breath and begins to sing.

Summer shouts the last note as everyone cheers.

"And the winner is..." Zane says. Everyone falls deathly silent even Jay, which is quite an achievement for him (since he can't stop talking what-so-ever).

"SUMMER!" We all scream and shout as Zane hands Summer her prize (which is basically cake). Cole's curled himself in a little ball in the corner but immediately opens up when Summer offers her half of the cake. After we all had some cake and got the scores, we prepared to head back to the Monastery. I'm gonna ask her tonight. As we all begin to file out, I grabbed Summer's wrist, leaving us alone in the room.

"Is this gonna become a habit of yours?" she asks, her eyes sparkling in the light.

"Maybe, ummmmmm Summer..." I begin, nervously.

"Yes Lloyd?" She smile at me and I feel myself slowly melting away. Just say it Lloyd!

"Ummmm would you go out with me?"

"You mean like a date?" she asks, hope in her voice.

"Ummm yeah..." She kisses me lightly on the cheek and answers, "I would love to. When?"

"Tomorrow, 6, before everyone else has dinner."

"Cool. I'll meet you on the Bounty."

"Sounds good to me."

"Lloyd! Summer! Where are you?" Kai calls from outside, impatiently.

"Let's go shall we?" I say to Summer, taking her hand. She grips it loosely and nods as we head outside.
