Chapter 10
HEY!!!!
This is my first authors note (EVER) so I just want to clear up a few things before we start:
1. That picture will make a lot more sense later on in this chapter. It's Odd from Code Lyoko (yes, his name is actually Odd).
2. This chapter is gonna be different than the others cause it'll be written in 3rd person (they, he, she etc.) instead of all the different POVs.
3. I'm planning on re-writing the other chapters the same way cause I read them again and I wasn't happy with it. I'll keep the other chapters up until I update them.
4. I'll also be publishing an oneshot soon as well, my way of saying Merry Christmas to you (well, late Christmas, that is). It introduces a future character for this story and what their like. Also, I am SO sorry for taking so long to update. I hope this chapter was worth the wait.
Anyway, I'm done rambling. So, here it is and enjoy!

The first thing Lloyd would rather see in the morning when he wakes up would be the open window directly across his bed, the sunlight blinding his eyes. But instead, he gets four, no, five faces blocking the sunlight and glaring down at him.
"Umm... good morning?" he says nervously, glancing around at everyone. The guys and Misako were there and he immediately notice that Summer wasn't here. I hope the others let her sleep in.
"OK greenie, spill it," Kai immediately blurts out.
"Uh, what?" It took him a while to work out what he's talking about but memories from last night washed over him - his date with Summer.
"What happened last night," Zane repeats.
"Uh, nothing," Lloyd quickly answers but the others aren't convinced. Dang it...
"You're obviously lying,"
"Geez, are you guys giving me an interrogation or something?" Lloyd grumbles, pushing the covers of his bed and sitting up.
"OK, next question: what happened to Summer last night?" Jay says, a worried expression on his face. This surprised Lloyd because he's never seen Jay worried, only wearing that cheesy grin or that serious look when kicking butt.
"We, uh... we went for uh... a walk," Lloyd answers after a moment of hesitation.
"In the middle of the night? I don't think so," Cole scoffed.
"Lloyd, I have a feeling you don't want to tell us, don't you?" Misako intervenes.
"No duh genius...." Kai mutters underneath his breath. Lloyd rolls his eyes and nods silently.
"Alright then, when you feel ready to talk, tell us," Misako says, turning to the door, "Everyone else, out!"
The guys groaned as Misako pushed them out of the room, leaving Lloyd by himself inside. He sighed and let his face fall into his hand. I bet Summer is having a better morning than I am...
****************************************************************************************
"Aaarrrggghhh!!!!!!"
Summer sat up in bed, breathing heavily, her head pounding. She just had a nightmare about how events that happened last night would've gone if Lloyd wasn't there. She was about to go back to sleep but that thought went out the brightly lit window, the sunlight pouring into the room.
"Hey Summer," Summer jumped at the voice and saw Nya standing at the doorway, bath robe wrapped around her body and hair dripping wet; she must've had a shower already.
"Are you alright? You and Lloyd disappeared for a couple hours last night and the rest of us got really worried, especially Jay," Nya continued, sitting down at her dressing table and began drying her hair.
"Umm yeah, I'm alright," Summer answers, rubbing her arm nervously. Please don't ask more, please don't ask more, PLEASE don't ask more.
"So," Nya continues, turning around to face her, "What did you and Lloyd do last night?" Aw crap...
"Ummm... we went for a walk?" It's not really an answer, it's more of a question to herself.
"Hmm, that's funny, Lloyd said the exact thing," Nya laughs. They've already interrogated Lloyd?!
"Uh yeah, that's because we did," she says with a bit more confidence.
"Alright then,"
Summer sighs in relief and began to get changed, slipping on a pair of ripped jeans and a light blue plaid shirt. She tied her long black hair into a side loose ponytail over her shoulder. She walked out the room barefoot towards Nya and the two head to the dining room.
"So," Nya begins, "you and Lloyd did more than take a walk last night, but you don't want to tell the rest of us yet, right?"
Summer almost tripped over her own feet in shock when those words processed. WHAT?! She knows?! But, how?
"Ummm..."
That was all Summer could say without stuttering and making it even more obvious that she went out with Lloyd. The look on her face must've amused Nya who started laughing.
"Don't worry, I'm only guessing what happened so I don't know exactly what happened. When you're ready to talk, I'll be there, OK?"
Summer just nodded numbly and the two enter the dining room to find the guys enjoying French toast.
"Hey guys," Nya says brightly, helping herself to a piece of toast, "Wow that looks and tastes good. Who made it?"
"I did," Kai answers, sticking his hand up like a kid in class.
"Mm, good job bro."
"Thanks."
"Summer! There you are! Are you OK?" Jay called.
Oh crap... Summer stopped in the middle of the doorway, holding a piece of French toast while she tried to sneak back her room. She wanted to start training early, thinking that it might help her get her mind of nightmares.
"Ummm hey bro," she says weakly as her brother walked over and gave her a hug.
"Can you please tell me what happened last night?" Jay asked with a hint of plead in his voice.
Summer wasn't sure what to tell him but before she could come up with an answer, Nya interrupted them.
"Jay, Summer isn't ready to tell us yet but she will tell us when she's ready, OK?" Nya says, placing a hand on Jay's shoulder, giving him small smile.
"Why?" Cole interrupts, his mouth stuffed with toast, "She and Lloyd scared us last night and I think we have a right to kn- OW! What was that for?" Cole whined, rubbing his arm where Zane had punched them.
"Cole, Lloyd and Summer are entitled to privacy on the topic and they will tell us when they are ready as Nya said," Zane begins to explain calmly, "We should respect their wishes and not press on the subject in the meantime."
"Thanks Zane," Summer says gratefully and he just smiles back in response.
"Hey, where is Lloyd?" Kai asked. Summer looked around the room and just realised that he wasn't in the room and she began to ask the same question mentally.
"I don't know," Jay answered, "Maybe he-"
The siren then decided to begin wailing over the loud speakers. Summer quickly clamped her hands over her ears while the others began to head to the control room. Damn it, I'm still not used to it and it's been a month since I came here. She sighed and joined the rest of the team.
When they arrived, they found Sensei and Misako already waiting.
"Ah there you are," Sensei says, looking at the six of them, noticing that someone hasn't arrived yet.
"It seems that Lloyd hasn't-"
"Sorry I'm late!" Everyone turned to see Lloyd rush into the room, his blonde hair slightly messed up.
"Now that we have everyone, we shall begin this meeting," Sensei says, nodding to Misako.
"For the past couple months, there has been a disease spreading throughout New Ninjago City. Well, what we think is a disease, that is," Misako says placing newspaper articles of various sizes on the table.
"That's encouraging..." Cole muttered sarcastically. Misako ignored him and continued.
"From what the reports say, it's coming from electricity," she explained, underlining her finger of one of the headings of an article that read 'An Electrifying Illness'.
"Electricity?" Summer echoed.
"You mean like Jay and Summer's elemental powers?" Lloyd asks.
"Not to mention Skylor," Kai piped up, "She's the Master of Amber so she would've absorbed both Jay and Summer's powers by now."
"Moving on," Misako sighed, grabbing their attention again, "according to witnesses, whenever the victims touch their phone and computer chargers, sometimes even the TV remote, they get electrocuted for a couple seconds before falling into a comatose state. Thankfully, the voltage isn't high enough to kill them and it hasn't happened to everyone yet."
"So, what's the big deal?" Jay asks, " It's not like they're gonna die."
"Yet," Misako interrupts, "This electrical current somehow enters the body then becomes a leech that drains the victim's life force. Three people have died from this illness so far."
"Perfect. Just what we needed, a killer virus on the loose." Cole mutters with the same sarcastic tone as last time.
"Zane, can you run a scan where everyone gets their power?" Sensei turns to the nindroid.
"I can," he answers and with that, his eyes began glowing a blinding white for a couple seconds before returning to the original shade of ice blue.
"PIXEL says that everyone in New Ninjago City gets their power from the Wind Farms Power Station."
"Wow, you think they all would've learnt after last time," Kai muttered, clearly unamused, thinking back on the evil nindroids that nearly destroyed the city.
"So, basically, someone has corrupted the core at the power station with something that puts people in a coma while slowly killing them, figuring that since everyone in the city relies on the power from the station. Did I forget anything?" Nya summarises.
"Other than you left out that Jay, Summer and Skylor's elemental powers could be a part of this than that was a pretty good summation," Lloyd remarks.
"But wait, I don't understand how we could be part of this," Summer says nervously. She felt sorry for the three people who have fallen to this strange disease but now she felt worried. Could Jay and I be a potential target of this outbreak?
"I don't know but we can't take any risks with this so you and Jay need to be extra careful. Got it?" Zane said, giving Jay a warning look.
"Psh. Don't worry, my middle name is careful," Jay scoffs, waving his hand dismissively. Everyone else rolled their eyes at that statement while Summer and Kai let their faces fall into their hands and Cole pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Anyway," Sensei intervenes, who was clearly getting fed up, "To avoid any of us getting the illness, you must stay away of anything electrical but if you can't take it, you must be wearing rubber gloves when using you devices. Understand?"
"Yes Sensei," The ninja answer simultaneously.
"Also, until we have found a solution, you will continue training until your first mission surfaces."
"Yes Sensei,"
"Very well, you are all dismissed." Sensei waved them out and the ninja stood us and headed out the door, leaving Sensei and Misako inside. Once everyone was out and the door was firmly shut behind them, Cole turned to Lloyd and Summer. He had to know what happened last night, even though Nya and Zane told everyone else to steer clear of the subject.
"So, what really happened between the two of you last night?" Cole asked, gesturing to Lloyd and Summer. He saw both Nya and Zane glare at him from the corners of his eyes but he tried to ignore them. On the other hand, Lloyd and Summer glanced at each other for the first time that day.
"Nothing!" they both shouted before heading off to start training.
"Wha-?!" Everyone else turn to a very shocked Cole who had the weirdest expression on his face his mouth gaping open. But that quickly became a grin that stretched from ear to ear.

"Mother are you there?" a hooded figure spoke into the walkie talkie. The figure had a feminine voice that was calm but monotone.
"Yes child," the receiver answered back, "Has the plan been put into action yet? You've had a week."
"Yes mother, three have died already," the figure answered.
"Very good child, very good..."

WHEW! That was a doozy! The chapter excluding the ANs was 1880 words. This took a lot longer to write than I expected not only because of my (VERY) severe case of writer's block but because there was so much I had to put in.
Anyway, the oneshot I'm gonna post later will be up (HOPEFULLY) in a couple hours or so cause I've got a bit more to do and I know exactly what to write. The book's called 'Merry Christmas Wattpad!!! 2015' and the oneshot itself is called 'I'd Never'. Look out for it!
One last thing, if I see another 'please update' comment I will delete it instantly. I swear there are more of those comments than the other ones. Plus it annoys me as well because there would be like five of those in a row before I get an actual comment.
OK, I'm done. I hope you're satisfied with that chapter, I am SOOOO sorry it took such a long time and Merry late Christmas and a Happy New Year!
