"Magician I take it?" said Nat as she took her electric base from where it had been hanging on her shoulder. "You're a better strategist than I thought, somehow managing to separate Narina-chan from me."

"You didn't expect me to allow one of the Academy's three best female prodigies to fight us without some for of handicap did you?" Magician said. "Though.. that is quite impressive how she was able to magnetize, and manipulate carbon in such a manner.. I am intrigued, I truly did underestimate her.."

Narina gulped as she felt something she didn't often feel.. fear..

The aura coming from this man.. was vile.. intelligent.. cunning.. and far more vicious than his elderly appearance spoke of..

And yet..

Narina knew that she couldn't let whoever this man drive her down..

"URRRRAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! COMBAT FORM!!! KRAKEN!!!!"

"BOOOOMMMMMMM!!!" The water of the lake exploded as two massive tentacles, dark green in color grabbed the edges of the bridge and pulled a newly transformed Barry into the air.. right before his powerful muscular feet landed on the bridge, shaking the surface.

He now had the triangular head of a massive squid with two gaping eyes, and a massive sharp beak. His two arms were now ginormous tentacles, and his back had smaller tentacles splaying out. And he was huge.. much larger than before, at least twice the size of his Orca form.

"I-I THOUGHT I TOOK HIM OUT!!" Narina stammered.

"I ain't gonna get smacked around by a girl!!" Barry gurgled, his voice harsh and monstrous now.  But suddenly he coughed, and black blood splattered to the floor of the bridge.

"Don't bother." said Nat. "Your wounds are near fatal.. Narina is far more powerful than you thought.. you perverse freak.. "

"She's right Barracuda." said Magician. "I appreciate your enthusiasm, but if you enter the fight now, you'll get killed.."

"Tsk.. you're the boss.." Barry gurggled.

Magician stopped shuffling his deck of cards. "I'll leave the fate up to the cards. If you two die.. then so be it.. but if you two survive my assault, then I'll consider you both subjects of personal interest.. especially you Narina Yukata.."

Especially me? Why? Narina thought.

"Kill us?' Nat began to chuckle, her eyes beginning to glow like fiery coals. "Fool... you seem strong, I'll give you that.. but.."

A vein popped on Nat's head as the earth began to tremble around her. "You made a fatal mistake.. You threatened my employee.. Narina is off limits.. you friggin' PUSHOVER!!!"

Nat slashed her hand across her guitar. "TREMOR BEATS: CONCIERTO DEL TERREMOTO!!!"

The moment Nat struck the chords on her instrument, the powerful rocking chord exploded out, and the earth seemed to shake in tune to her instrument. Giant spires of rocks, 2 stories tall each, exploded out of the lake from beneath the bridge, spearing through the area where Magician was.

Dust clouds blasted through the area, as the giant rock spires sent the Kraken mode Barry flying off into the street behind the bridge.

"WHOA!!" Narina stammered.

"So.." Magician's voice echoed. "This is the famous ability of yours, the power to terraform any form of earth using sound waves.. Tremor Beats."

A large playing card, an Ace of Clubs, that was about the size of a doorway appeared in thin air behind Narina and Nat, and a swirling portal made of green energy appeared in the card as Magician stepped out.

The card shrank back into an ordinary playing card, which Magician caught with two fingers.

"Well well.." said Nat with a grin. "You can manipulate space.. go figure.."

"True.. I can alter the spatial properties of certain objects I imbue with my power.. in this case.. a deck of cards." said Magician. "But enough talk.. I believe you were going to kill me? Or were you?"

Nat's eyes widened as a shadow suddenly covered the bridge, and she looked up to see a large King of Diamonds Playing card  50 feet across levitating above her.

"KING CELESTIO!!!" Magician snapped his fingers, and a ginormous meteorite fell out of the portal in the card.

"TREMOR BEAT!!! OCARINA SHELL!!!" Nat strummed a few more booming notes, and a massive shell of stone tore out of the lake and covered her and Narina, shaping itself into the shape of a giant ocarina.

From the ocarina's holes, various supersonic blasts exploded out and blasted through the meteor, tearing it apart.

Magician suddenly disappeared, his body rippling a space altered his movement, and he flitted from area to area at top speed, whipping out a three cards as he appeared to Nat's left.

"Ace of Diamonds.." Magician threw several cards, and immediately, they glowed with bright light as they shot at the ocarina shell like bullets, going through the holes and exploding, destroying the shield in a massive shockwave.

Nat leapt from the ruined shield wielding her Guitar like a club as she slammed it at Magician's head.

Magician shifted through space again and whipped away as he threw  a card. "9 of Spades.."

The card grew to massive size, and shielded Magician as the guitar rebounded off the card.

"I can manipulate the space of matter within whatever I influence with my power." said Magician. "So you can logically assume, that by manipulating the space of this card, I can condense it's molecules, while still spreading it beyond normal size to create a hardened shield."

"Your power is a rare one.. usually all Super Humans have powers that are biologically within reason. Even my abilities stem from my cells creating high speed vibrating molecules that I control to create sound waves." said Nat. "But the power to control space. There is no biologically sound mutation that is capable of that.. you're not a true super human are you!? You're something much more different!"

"Hmph.. you are correct." said Magician. "I am actually exactly as my name suggests.. I am.. what you might call.. a mage."

"Now you're just trying to mess with us mate." said Nat.

"No.. what I say is completely true." said Magician. "Observe.."

Magician held out a hand, and a swarm of Butterflies flew out of his hand and into the sky. 

"I saw that trick at a party once." Narina said. "You're not fooling us for a second."

Magician chuckled. "I've lived thousands of years my dear Narina Yukata, and I know when somebody is convinced.. you're a perceptive young girl.. highly perceptive.. otherwise you wouldn't be able to master your powers to such a point so quickly.. you are convinced.. aren't you?"

Narina sweated slightly and nodded grudgingly. "Yeah.. I couldn't see how you could've done that scientifically.. it's beyond any Super Human."

"He's got me too.." Nat muttered. "But is it magic? Or an illegal mechanism scrounged up from an abandoned lab?"

"I've practiced magic long enough to know when I'm doing it right." said Magician. "Even shaved my beard to become more accustomed to the era. In another time, they called me Merlin.. but now.. I'm just an old man, who goes by the simple name.. Magician."

"And just what is your goal here Magician?" Nat said. "I can't imagine a guy as grandiose sounding as you wouldn't have some sort of major plan, if he really is THE Merlin..which I doubt.."

"The freedom of all Super Humans." said Magician. "That is the goal.. The King has trampled on the rights of those baring special gifts for too long, calling them illegal, and imprisoning them for exploring their gifts.. and instead using the abominable process called Rebirth to create super humans he can control. Even the so called Accidentals suffer, as they are spied on and kept under constant surveillance."

"My sister never had a problem with that.." Narina muttered.

"In any case.." said Magician. "You are standing in the way of our Master Malice's cause... and I cannot allow you to leave here alive.. unless you prove yourselves strong enough to be useful.."

Magician threw all his cards into the air.. and they turned large, spreading in strange circle shape in the  sky, circling around one single point, creating a sphere of strange swirling green energy.

"This move.. shall wipe you out in one go.." said Magician. "CELESTO FINALE!!!!!"

A ginormous beam of incredible light, surrounded by spatial energy exploded down, the earth trembled.. the sky was split apart..

And Narina somehow knew.. there was no way any of them could survive that attack.. 

it was then she thought of only one thing..

To do what a true hero would always do..

Focus on saving the lives of others over her own..

Narina got to her feet, and screamed, lightning blasting from every inch of her body, as her muscles strained to gather what strength she had left..

She shot at Nat and grabbed the surprised hero's wrist.

And Narina threw her as far as she could, right off the bridge and into the water.

"NARINAAAA!!" Nat screamed, her head breaking the surface of the lake..as she watched the blast envelope the entire bridge in an explosion of powerful light.

"That girl!" Magician stammered. "She... never have I seen anything so noble in over 300 years!!"

"NOOOOOOO!!!" A different scream erupted out this time.. it was Nue, in her neko form, landing on the street nearby, with Terrance following nearby.

"DAMN IT NARINAAA!!!" Nue screamed, abandoning her calm and stoic persona. "THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!"

Narina flowed through darkness... she opened her eyes.. and found a familiar boy standing before her..

She knew who it was..

It was herself..

Narin Jousuke grinned at Narina Yukata. "Hello Me.. guess we're kinda dead huh?"

"Maybe." said Narina. "If we are.. then is this how people end up when they die? Two people?"

"No.. the truth is.. you're not dead yet, you're just beginning." said Narin. "I'm the one whose dying."

"What?" said Narina.

"Well.. you see, Nue was right.. you've changed.. and when you change, your old self dies.. and somebody new takes that person's place.." said Narin. "When we were me.. we only wanted to become heroes to pick up Zanna, and become famous.. the usual bull sh*t.  But, while that's what Narin Jousuke wanted.. what about Narina Yukata?"

"I want to help people... I want to protect the friends I've made.." said Narina. "After spending time with people... who didn't judge me like the other people from the Top of the Trunk judge us Root Dwellers.. and seeing people who honestly came to the Academy with a desire to help others... and after spending time with silly Bella, willing to risk everything she knew to save one other android.. I guess.."

"You changed." said Narin. "Narin Jousuke went into the Academy.. and then somebody else came out.. my story's over.. yours has just begun.. I know it's an awkward one.. considering the whole gender change scenario, eheh.. but the physical side hardly ever matters.."

Narina smiled and held out a hand. "Thank you for looking out for us until now.. me..."

"No prob." said Narin, taking Narina's hand and shaking it too. "Me.."

Narin Jousuke chuckled, and faded away.. like a phantom.. leaving only Narina Yukata..

Nue had been right.. Narina had changed.. she wasn't the same anymore..

Nue's eyes suddenly widened, as she saw a figure emerge from the light.. but something was different, something was changing.

"What the?" said Terrance. "Is.. that who I think it is?"

Narina had changed into something.. into what, she couldn't be sure.. but Narin Jousuke had merely been a cocoon.. 

"That's.. impossible.." Magician murmured.

Yes... and now she had emerged from her cocoon, she wasn't a butterfly... she was..

"A DRAGON!!!" Narina roared, the light exploding back from her like a shockwave. "MAGNET ART!! PRISM DRAGON!!"

Narina's clothes had been torn to shreds.. but it was okay, cause now she wore clothing made of pure diamond scales.. it was as if diamond scales were growing out of her skin, fashioned into a unitard like outfit that revealed her stomach and cleavage.. the scales flowing upwards until they elongated into elegant spikes near her shoulders.

Diamond spike-like scales adorned the edge of her eyes as well, lengthening near the edge of her face, to create two long ice-like horns on the top of her dragonish ears made of crystal. 

Her forearms were covered in diamond scales.. with her fingers being tipped with sharp stainless steel claws, flashing in the light of the fireworks.  Her thighs and feet were the same, with her feet covered in three toed dragon talons, with one fourth toe in the back, all with stainless steel claws  as well.

A large tail made of interlocking diamond armor around 20 feet long whipped around behind her..  and massive wings with feather made of crystal beat around her, creating tremendous wind currents, allowing her to hover in the place that the bridge used to be..

However, the one change in Narina that made no sense, was her eyes and teeth. Her eyes had turned yellow, with black cat-like slits. And her teeth were now fanged.. 

She was able to tear apart my spatial magic!?" Magician stammered.

"She's.. beautiful!!" Nue stuttered. 

"Hmm.." said Magician. "Your eyes.. your teeth.. the unusual shape your diamond armor is taking now.. of course.. I figured that your grandmother's blood would allow you to fully control her power... but.. this.. this is from your Grandfather!!"

"My grandfather?" Narina muttered. "I never knew him..but as for your so called spatial magic.. turns out there is a bit of science to it.. I noticed that if you could truly control pure space, there's no way we should have been able to see your attacks coming the way we did. Space has no visible body.. because life doesn't bounce off it, it just bends light.. but somehow, your attack glowed like a nightlight or a laser beam.. then it occurred to me.. you have space somehow ride on light particles with your power.. just like how you have space ride on the molecules of your playing cards.. by bending your light.. I can bend the space riding it.. so I altered my diamonds to refract light away from my skin.."

"And the dragonish form?" Magician asked.

"Dragon?" Narina muttered. "That's just the name of the move.. I'm not actually a-"

"NARINA!!" Nue yelled. "LOOK AT YOURSELF!!!"

Narina blinked and looked at her body. "WHOA!!! Uhhh.. is that a tail!!? AND WHERE DID THE BRIDGE GO!? HOW AM I FLYING!!? oh wings.. WAIT!! DIAMOND WINGS MAKING ME FLY!!? THAT'S NOT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLEE!!!"

"So it is her Grandfather's blood." said Magician to himself. "As for the wings.. they're using electromagnetic carbon to create a constant electric push that allows her to fly..  she doesn't know it yet.. but.. she's stronger than everybody here right now.. everybody.. except for me.."

Magician spread his hands out. "SPATIO ALLEGRO!!!"

Several giant playing cards appeared around Magician, and sent powerful beams of light at Narina.

"Eh? What!?" Narina reflexively looked down at the magic blasts, and immediately, her giant diamond tail whirled up like whip, and smacked the magic blasts, and sent them flying back into the sky.

"SHE DEFLECTED IT!?" Magician stammered.

"ALRIGHT! THAT'S JUST RUDE!" Narina roared, she flew at Magician at incredible speed. "ELECTRO DRAKE ART: THUNDER CLAW!!!"

Narina's steel claws extended in length, turning bright with electric light as they extended further into claws made of pure electricity.

"9 OF SPADES!!" Magician roared, creating a massive card shield,  but the long electric claws phased through the shield.

"WHAT!? PHANTOM LIGHTNING PASSES THROUGH SPACE MANIPULATION TOO!?" Magician exclaimed, right before the claws hit him.

A ginormous tower of lightning bolts exploded out from the impact.. and the clouds in the sky were blasted apart.

Magician coughed up blood, and his bowler hat disintegrated.. as he was sent hurling into the sky.

"ELECTRO DRAKE ART!!" Narina roared as she aimed her claws at Magician in mid air. "RYU THE STORM KING!!"

Silver Lightning blasted out from Narina's claws, and shot through the sky, leaving a smell of burning ozone in it's wake.

The lightning exploded into Magician with a tremendous explosion and shockwave that outdid all the fireworks in the sky. 

As Magician fell out of the sky, his clothes smoking, he grunted and put a hand into his breatpocket. "I am sorry my King Arthur.. I know.. I promised you I would never use it again.. but I must.. "

Magician drew out a medallion from his pocket.. and there was great golden light, as it transformed into a long staff..

"May the magic of old guide me!!!" Merlin roared as he twirled his staff in the air, and a giant explosion of flames swirled out. "FIRES OF THE FLAME KEEPER!!!"

A giant blast of fire engulfed Narina.. being so hot that the earth surrounding the area dried and baked.. 

But Narina's eyes glowed from within the fire.. and the flames were blasted back as she spread her wings. 

Her diamond scales burned hot and orange.. but the skin that wasn't covered in diamond or steel armor, was completely unharmed, in fact.. her skin looked positively radiant. 

"Of course.. a dragon's body bathes in fire.. I didn't think she had inherited her grandfather's genes to this extent!!" said Merlin. "I knew that she had her grandmother's power.. hidden in her before Rebirth.. but  her Grandfather's as well? She's a rare case in Super Humans!!"

"What are you talking about!?" Narina growled. "What do you know about my Grandfather!?"

"He was a 21st century Hero.. by the name of Wild Dragon." said Merlin.

"No.. THE Wild Dragon!? The strongest of all Beast Type Super Humans!?" Terrance growled. "He's lying!!"

"It is the truth.. I once knew him.. and your grandmother.. Manaka!" said Merlin.  "It seems that you've become an Accidental.. like your sister, Mizo.  However, you've inherited your Grandfather's power.. and not only that.. become the first Rebirthed Hero to unlock her original power! An Accidental And A Rebirth! I don't even know what to call it!! But both powers have merged together somehow in this new state of yours.. Prism Dragon!"

Merlin raised his staff to the sky. "But.. none of that matters now! All that matters.. is your DEATH!!! SPEAR OF STAR LIGHT!!!!"

The light from the stars above swirled down and wove themselves into ginormous spear decorated with intricate flower designs, and sparkling with incredible beauty.

"The very move I used to destroy Moran Le Fay.. it shall be your downfall.. NARINA YUKATA.. DRAGON OF THE STORM!!" 

The spear shot down at Narina at hyperspeed, leaving a trail of exploding star dust.. as pure power exploded from it's tip.. the power to bring down a god from his perch in the heavens.. 

But the moment the spear reached Narina's chest.. the entire weapon shattered into stardust... failing to pierce even an inch through her skin.

"Well.." said Narina. "That was.. erm.. anticlimatic."

"Un... unfathomable.." Merlin shivered.  "Even an ordinary dragon wouldn't have... that's.. "

"Do I look like an ordinary dragon?" Narina whispered as she held out a clawed hand. "Electro Drake Art: Dragon Genesis, Mark One.."

Crystal and steel bent around Narina's arm.. forming into a ginormous  dragon's head made of pure crystal, with empty eyesockets and nostrils, and teeth made of stainless steel. 

From it's eyes and nostrils, along with it's jaws, powerful multicolored lightning exploded, as electricity charged up within the hollow dragon head.

"She's churning electricity around inside.." said Nat. "Creating fusion, using the added toughness that dragons provide to keep it stable..."

"ALRIGHT!!" Narina growled. "So.. if you really know magic.. then let's see if I can't make you dissapear!!! DRAGON GENESIS PURGING CANNON!!!!"

Narina aimed the giant dragon head at Merlin, and it opened it's jaws.. and a tremendous bolt of pure multicolored energy exploded out.. 

As it traveled through the sky, and neared Merlin, Merlin smiled. "Master Malice.. I truly believe.. this one could be an asset. 

The sky exploded with bright multicolored light.. as Merlin was hit with the full blast of power..

And the energy continued to travel till it reached giant trunk of the Varus tree.

the energy blasted straight through.. creating a giant half mile wide hole in the side of the giant city tree, going straight through the 3rd floor.

Everyone present's jaws dropped.

Even Narina was shocked.

"I... overkill.. just.. overkill. " Narina stammered. "Eheh.. oops.. Least nobody got hurt.."

At that moment.. a street lamp that had it's metal turn malleable from the heat of the attack nearby, bent over, and fell on top of a car.

"MY LEGGGG!" Somebody screamed.

"Oh... oops.." Narina muttered..

At that moment, all of Narina's strength drained away.. and her crystal scales, wings, and tail shattered to dust, and she lost consciousness, as she splashed down into the lake below..
