It's been two weeks since Shivaay started to go to office. Anika is trying her best to avoid him. Once he leaves to office she makes herself busy in doing house works and a small talk with Maria. She mostly spends time in pool side while gazing at the water silently. Or she talks to everyone in India through web chats whenever the time is apt owing to the time difference between them. She also talks to Neha regarding managing the firm and how events running successfully. Anika is happy that in her absence, her firm is still running at the same pace. She sometimes talks to the clients giving her best ideas for the event to be successful. In the evening after Shivaay arrives, she prepares dinner and goes back to her room.

The only time she spends with Shivaay is during breakfast and dinner. At the beginning Shivaay thought that she is fine but he observed that she is going far away from him. He initiates a conversation but all she gives is short replies. He is unable to bear her silence and also doesn't know what made her silent again. He also asked her if something had happened in his absence to which she shrugged. Along with it, the work he has in office wasn't giving him peace of mind.

It was a usual evening and Anika is preparing dinner and is waiting for Shivaay. After preparing dinner, her phone rang and it showed Gauri. She started to talk to her and mean while Shivaay had arrived. Passing him a small smile, both of them entered inside. He understood that she is talking to Gauri and left to his room with a small smile on his face.

Though he is sad by the way she is behaving, he will not deny the fact that the small smile she gives to him after he comes back home, gives him hope that everything will be fine. The small talks with her makes him happy. He is in a illusion that Anika is taking her time to open up and not to pressurize her anymore. After a relaxing shower, he changed into his usual kurta pajama and reached kitchen. He saw Anika carrying bowls to dining table.

S: I will help you!

She nodded and both of them had arranged the table. Anika served for both and they started to eat.

S: So..How are everyone there?

A: All are fine! I talked to Pinky ma also. She told that she is missing us.

S: If possible we can go to India next month.

Anika nodded.

S: Sahil kaisa hai? Does he have any problem in school?

A: He is also fine. He doesn't have any problem.

S: Anika, do you want to talk to me about anything? I mean you are silent and..mm..Is there any problem?

A: There isn't any problem.

After that both of them had their dinner silently. Shivaay was stealing glances and looking at her expressions. He can't understand what is she thinking or why is she behaving this way. Sometimes he also gets angry seeing her behavior but he controls it. An angry outburst will destroy everything and in no cost he will do anything that spoils everything. He just controls his anger thinking about her situation. Later on Shivaay helped her with the dishes and both of them moved up stairs. She stopped in front of her room when he called her.

S: Good night Anika!

A: Good night!

Both of them moved to their rooms and slept.

Mumma...Mumma...help me..mumma..

A: NO! Mera bacha..

Anika woke up with a shock. Her face was filled with sweat. It was the same dream where she hears a girl calling her as mumma and crying for help. Whenever she gets this dream she gets a panic attack. She started to shout for her baby. She got up from the bed to run for her baby and her leg got collided with the table. She was about to fall down but Shivaay held her. He heard Anika's shouts and came to her room.

A: Mujhe jana hai..Leave me..my baby needs me..leave me!

Shivaay hugged her tightly and she tried to wriggle in his arms.

S: Anika..koi nahi hai yaha..It's your dream.

A: Nahi..my baby..they have taken her..leave me!

She is getting hyper and situation is getting out of his control.

S(yelling): ANIKA!

He shook her and she came back to reality. Tears were continuously flowing from her eyes and she hugged him with a force. Tears started to escape from his eyes also. Is it for seeing her in a vulnerable state or for the pain of loosing a baby, he doesn't know.

A: Shivaay..she needs help..they..

S: Shh! Our baby will be with us at the right time. She will be with you soon! I promise you. Calm down..

A: Shivaay..they..

S: Calm down..I promised you right? Our baby will be with us at the right time.

He calmed her down stroking her hair and saying soothing words. All the while only one word was running in his mind, be strong Shivaay. He has to be strong so that Anika will become strong. He made her to sit on the bed and made her drink water. She stopped crying and sat there being lost. What made him more sad was the way she was clutching her belly with her hands.

A: Shivaay..aap jaiye. Mein theek hoon!

S: Lekin Anika..

A: Please mujhe kuch der akela chod dijiye!

Without saying anything, he turned to go but stopped when he heard sound of a draw being open. He looked confused when she took out a medicine bottle. He immediately ran towards her to check the bottle and was shocked seeing it. The bottle was sleeping pills. At a instant he snatched the bottle from her hands and threw it on the floor.

S: Yeh kya kar rahi ho Anika?

A: Leave Shivaay!

S: Anika pagal ho gayi ho kya? Sleeping pills! Have you lost it? How could you even think of taking them?

A: It makes me sleep forgetting everything. It helped..me..to..

Tears spilled her eyes and she was unable to say anything. He cupped her face and wiped her tears. She was looking down.

S: Anika..Look at me!

She slowly looked into his eyes and he inched his face close to hers and kissed her forehead.

S: There is no need for you to rely on pills Anika. I promise you! You will sleep peacefully without them okay!

He made her lie down and he slept next to her. Gently lifting her, he made her rest her head on his chest. His one hand was caressing her hair while the other was soothing her hand which was wrapped around his torso.

A: Shivaay..

S: Hmm..

A: I am sorry.

S: Kyu?

A: I was unable to..protect..

S(cut her): Tumhari koi galti nahi hai Anika! You shouldn't feel guilty. Anyways, we will talk later on okay! Just close your eyes.

She slowly closed her eyes as she tried to sleep in his embrace. That night, he didn't sleep but made sure that she gets a good sleep. The only thing he was doing is to give her his warmth and asking sorry to the unborn baby in his mind.
