*Oberoi mansion *

The once white sparkling mansion is no more white..... it has turned into yellow and shabby. As we enter, we find the hall empty and dark. Moving further, we come across a temple where a very old lady was seen sitting in front of God chanting something within herself. On getting a clearer view, we can see that her hairs have turned white and she is wearing glasses. A Rudraksh necklace is seen in her hand and she is moving one bead after another, praying for the welfare of her family. She was in full concentration when suddenly, she opened her eyes in fear. She kept her hand on her chest and trying to calm down her restless heart.


“ Dadi....”

Yes, that lady is non other our favourite Dadi. She looked behind to see her two bahus, Gauri and Bhavya. Her eyes were longing to see her other bahu, the eldest bahu of the family, Anika. But some wishes are never meant to be fulfilled. Gauri and Bhavya understood what she might be thinking and it wasn’t something new. Every time she looks at them or their husbands her mind drifts back to Shivaay Bhaiya and Anika bhabi and not to forget the princess of the house Priyanka. But cruel destiny, cruel fates. Sighing they went up to her and sat down beside her on either side.


Gauri: Dadi..... aap thik hai?
Dadi: Haa...... Just remembered something.
Bhavya: Shivaay Bhaiya and Anika bhabi and Priyanka.
Dadi: Who else will still make me restless?  10 years ago Billu left this house taking away all the lights. Bahut bura kiya maine Anika ke saathe. But she never spoke anything against me. Bahut pyaari bacchi thi. When the whole world thought that Billu has done everything for property, she was the only one who stood by his side and supported him. Bahut hi aachi biwi mili thi mere Billu ko. Priyanka was the Apple of the family. Everyone loved her. But she was always close to Billu. One day and everything finished. Mera aadha parivar puri tarah se miit gaya.
Gauri(consoling her): Dadi.... we can understand your pain. Even we aren’t able to come out of that shock till now. And me.... I couldn’t even ask forgiveness from Di. She was right..... When we will come to know the truth, then they won’t be there with us. And it came true. I can never forgive myself for what have I done to Di. I can never. I will always this guilt in my heart that I had time....I had time to rectify my mistakes but I didn’t.... I didn’t...... do it.
Bhavya: Bhabi.... please control yourself. If you break down like this then it will effect your baby. ( keeping her hand on Gauri's flat belly)
Dadi: Haa Gauri. Only because of my great grandchild I’m still living. I have faith that my Billu or Anika or Priyanka will surely come back to us in the form of your baby.
Gauri(thinking): And I only know how much I have convinced myself to take this step. During that time only one thing came in my mind was Dadi's health and her wish. Just because of Dadi I came back to Oberoi mansion and just because of Dadi I have taken our relationship forward. Otherwise.....
Bhavya(snapping her out of thoughts): Bhabi.... Are you fine?
Gauri: Yes I’m.  Dadi, come it’s time for your medicines.



Bhavya and Gauri helped Dadi to her room. After making her comfortable on the bed and giving her the needed medicines, they left the room. Bhavya went back to her room while Gauri was going to the kitchen to feed herself rather feeding the little one who was inside her. She was absentmindedly walking down the stairs when her footing missed and she was about to slip down the stairs when a firm hold just over her stomach prevented her from falling. She was scared very scared. Her hand automatically went to her stomach over the other hand. She is safe.... her baby is safe...... She looked up to her saviour who turned out to the last person she wanted to see...... Her legal husband, Omkara. He made her stand on her feet but still didn’t leave her.


Om(concerned): Are you fine?
Gauri: Hmm.... Thank you.
Om: Gauri....
Gauri: I will be careful from next time. ( about to go)
Om: Where are you going?
Gauri: Kitchen.
Om: Are you craving for something? I..... I.....will make it for you.
Gauri: No need. I can...
Om(requesting): Please. Let me do this much for.....our.... baby and you.


She nodded agreeing to him. Though she can’t stand him but she doesn’t have the right to snatch his right over the baby. Whatever happens at the end of the day, he is the father and she can’t deny it.


Om: Come I will drop you till the room.

She didn’t protest and went along with him. He wanted to hold her close to him but refrained himself. On reaching the room, he made her sit on the bed carefully and covered her.


Om: What do you want to eat?
Gauri: Something sweet.
Om: Okay.


He went. Gauri was left in that big room all alone and she could do only one thing pounding upon the past. How everything changed, how she is back to this house when she herself had left it, how come she got ready to giver herself to Omkara after whatever he had done, why isn’t she able to forgive Omkara even after seeing all his gestures and love for her, how she still believes that her Di is alive and breathing somewhere. Her thoughts were halted when Om entered with a bowl. He sat beside her and was thinking of making her eat. Silently, she opened her mouth and put her hands under the cover to show that make her eat. Om couldn't hold back his happiness. He took a spoon full of the food and made her eat. She froze eating it. Exactly how..... How.... Di used to make for her....her favourite sweet dish Suji halwa. Tears clouded her eyes and one by one tears rolled down. He saw her and panicked.


Om: Gauri.... what happened?  Is it not good? Should I.....
Gauri(whispers): Di.....Di.....
Om: Gauri.... I...
Gauri: Why did you do it? It is same as Di makes.... Why?(cries) Di....Di....
Om(trying to calm her down): Gauri.....Please don’t cry..... it will be harmful for the baby....Please.....I didn’t make it to hurt you. I was just trying to make you.... Happy.
Gauri(shouts): But it doesn’t make me happy. It reminds me of my gulit which I can never remove from my heart........ Never.
Om: Gauri.... Please.....
Gauri(pushing him awat): Go.....just go away. Leave me alone. Just go.



He stumbled back due to her push. His eyes reflected hurt and sadness. Seeing her breaking down He couldn’t stand anymore and went out of the room. Gauri curled herself and hid her face. She was missing her Di..... Very much..... but sadly and the world’s cruel fate she can never meet her again in her life.


Gauri: Di.....di...... I’m sorry.....I’m very sorry. Please forgive me for whatever I have done......Please. I miss you di. I miss you.



Her cries didn’t fade away. She recalled the past years how she ended up in the mansion and the all the things that followed by.


*FLASHBACK STARTS *
(Day after the last rites of Shivika and Priyanka)


Gauri ran away..... ran away from the reality.....ran away from the house where she had created memories as well as nightmares..... ran away from the person whom she loved the most..... ran away from accepting the fact that she is still the DIL of the family and she has some responsibilities after her Di. Gauri wanted to go back to her old house but her feet just couldn’t cross the threshold. She looked into the house and every moment with Anika started playing in front of her eyes. She couldn’t ..... She just couldn’t cross the border and enter. She backed off and ran away..... Again. Until she reached a temple.....She walked into the temple and just fell on her knees.



Gauri(crying mess): Kiyu.....Kiyu....kiya aapne aase..... Kiyu..... I know....I know I did mistakes..... no....no sin..... But was my mistakes and sins so big that you had to snatch my Di from me..... tell me.... answer me.... it was all done by Omkara and I suffered the consequences of it..... why? Why.....I can’t stay like this...... I can’t.....I can’t live without my Di.....I.....can't......



She got up and ran down the stairs. Her state was horrible. She had just lost her mind. Suddenly she saw a truck coming. Without thinking, she just stood in the middle of the road and waited for it just hit her. The truck driver was continuously giving horn and even indicating her to move away but she just didn’t barge. It was almost about to hit her when someone pulled her away from the road and the truck just whizzed past them and by that time Gauri had already lost her senses. The person looked at her and sighed.


Person: Don’t know what would have happened if I didn’t come on time. Now I need to take her and get her back to senses. (Calls someone) Rahul .... Yes I’m fine. Can you just pick me up from the temple? Okay....okay. I’m waiting. Come fast.



Few minutes later, a car stopped in front of them. A man in his late twenties came out. He looked at the person and hugged her tightly.



Rahul(the man): Chanda.....are you fine? I got so scared when I got your call.
Chanda(the person): I’m fine Rahul. Sorry to scare you like this. But....(looks at her side)
Rahul(follows her sight and became shocked): Gauri.... What happened to her?
Chanda: Nothing just unconscious. We need to take her home.
Rahul: Yes....I will just....



He picked her up and made her lye down on the back seat. They settled themselves and went.


*ChanHul's house*

Rahul made Gauri lye down in one of the guest rooms and Chanda entered with doctor. He checked her and gave an injection.


Chanda: Doctor is she fine?
Doctor: Nothing to worry. She is just under some stress and hasn’t eaten anything since a day. So as soon as she wakes up please make her eat something. I will take your leave now.


Rahul went with the doctor while Chanda stayed back with Gauri. She looked at her and then looked at her appearance and saw that she is wearing everything white. Chanda knew the reason about it. And that is why she was forced to save Gauri otherwise she would have left her. Rahul came back to the room to see Chanda lost in her thoughts. He slowly put his hand on her shoulder bringing her back to reality.


Rahul: Thinking about Her?
Chanda: Hmm.... I don’t know why she said me to do something like this. I can never forget those days which Anika had to spend all alone  we struggle.....her fight...everything. Though she said that she never needs anyone beside her but how I not be beside her? I’m her best friend.... and she has forgotten that. She thought she is alone but that’s not the case. I wanted to be beside her but she always pushed me away. Why Rahul....why? Wasn’t I worthy enough for her?
Rahul(hugs her from behind): Sshh..... nothing like that Chanda.... Anika was just broken from the fact that her sister didn’t support her and none of the family member too. She was scared that you would also leave her in the middle. Did you forget that she didn’t forget to attend our wedding?
Chanda: Yaa.....Yaa..... She came only for an hour and went.
Rahul: But it wasn’t that she wanted to go. Shivaay’s lawyers had called her and she had to leave immediately. Even in all those tension she didn’t fail to attend it. Now don’t be gloomy about it and think what will you do with Gauri.
Chanda: What will I do? Just hand over the letter that my dear friend has given me.
Rahul(makes her turn towards him): Chanda..... I can understand that you are upset rather angry on every member of the Oberoi family and trust me even I’m also. But I also know that you won’t back off from the responsibility that Anika has given you. Right?
Chanda(with tears): How can she be so selfless..... how? Since childhood she is suffering..... and now I thought after her marriage she will be happy.....par bhagwan ko uski khushi kabhi nehi dekhi gayi..... He snatched everything..... everything from her...... and now..... She and Shivaay Jiju.....
Rahul(hugs her and cares her hair): Sshh..... don’t cry..... Just pray that wherever they are.....they should be happy. At least after so many years they have got peace let them Enjoy their life Now.
Chanda(sniffs): Yes..... But I have to do whatever my idiot friend has said me to do.
Rahul: And for that you need to bring food for Gauri. I will be in our room. If you need me call me. Okay?
Chanda: You are so understanding. I don’t know what would have I done without you.
Rahul(teasingly): Oh really..... thank god.... you looked at me  otherwise I thought that I’m invisible.
Chanda(hits his chest lightly): You will never change.
Rahul: Never. ( breaks the hug and wipes the tears) Now change your mood and face her.




She nods and they looked at Gauri.



*1 hour later*

Gauri flickered her eyes and opened them slowly. She looked around and found herself in an unknown place. She got up hurriedly when a voice stopped her.


“Careful....”


She looked at the door and saw Chanda standing with a plate of food. She just walked towards her and sat on the bed.


Chanda: You are too weak. Eat something then we will talk.
Gauri: Chanda didi.... I...
Chanda(glares at her): Shut your mouth and eat quietly. I don’t want any kind of tantrums.


Saying this, she forwarded a spoon full of food to her. Gauri quietly ate it. After finishing, Chanda gave her an envelope and said her to read it. Gauri was confused but seeing the name “Chutki" on it made her shock. She looked at Chanda who just nodded her head as if answering her unasked question. She hurriedly tore the envelope and took out the letter.


*Letter*
Chutki.....

I guess you have well understood who I am. Of course who would it be? Your Si..... no..no... Your mother’s murderer. Well don’t worry I won’t take long time. I will just take 10 minutes of your time. The thing or the incident which I always safe guarded from you is now out in light. But did you ever realise why I never said you about Our mother? I guess you haven’t..... no worries why to fear when your Di..... sorry the murderer is here. Our mother Vasundhara left us and went to some rich business man because she wanted luxurious life and our Father was unable to give her those. You were just few months old when she just walked out of our life to never return. Our father broke down seeing her leave and from that day onwards you became my responsibility. I took care of all your needs and everything. I thought that Papa would surely come back to life and see as but.... it is said that once the thunder has fallen upon someone it doesn’t leave without destroying it completely. You were just 1 or 2 year old when I get the news that Papa committed suicide leaving us all alone. And you know why he did that...... because our mother forced him to do so. From that day onwards I had decided that I will never let you know about our mother. But how would I know that my one decision will cost me so much. Let it be. Past is past..... But now we all should think about future. I know you might be thinking why the hell I wrote all theses because I still care for you. You may not consider me as your elder sister but you will always be my Chutki. Now enough of talks. I just wanted to say that whatever happens never leave the family who has given you a new identity. I failed to give you which you always wanted but now when you have got everything just don’t let it go. I’m not forcing you or anything. Just..... just leave...... stay happy always.....


The murderer.....

Gauri couldn’t control her tears any more and let them fall. She clenched onto the paper to her chest and cried. How can she be so blind in not trusting her sister..... how? How could Omakra became so important for her that she didn’t think anything rationally? Now when everything is finish, she doesn’t have the time to repair everything. She has just lost everything.




Chanda: I guess you should go back home.
Gauri: I don’t have any home.
Chanda: Don’t forger that Oberoi family is your family now and Omkara is your husband.
Gauri(shouts): How can I go and live the murderers of my Di and Jiju..... how?
Chanda(shouts): Anika died because of you....not because of the Oberois......(Gauri looked at her shocked) Don’t be so shocked. What do you think? Anika died 2 days back. No.... Anika died the day when her sister refused to accept her as her family.... Anika died when you insulted her..... Anika died when you threw her gift away thinking it as a way to get you back to her..... Anika died when her sister refused to even see her once whether she is alive or dead in that accident. She was just living for Shivaay and now both of them have left us forever. And I’m very happy about it. You know why...... because now they can live peacefully where no-one will insult them..... taunt them..... or kill them...... (got up and was about to leave but stopped) Do you know why you are here now? Because Anika had said that..... Whatever happens just see that my Chutki is always safe. She took promise from me and I being the most faithful friend of her is fulfilling it. You have not only lost a sister.....But also a mother.



She walked out of the room leaving a devastated Gauri. She was just crying her heart out. While on the other side, Chanda was wrapped up by Rahul and she was also sheeting her tears.



Chanda(crying): I miss her.....I miss her Rahul..... why did she leave me and go..... why...... why......


Rahul could only careness her back and say sweet nothings in her ears to calm her down. He looked at one of the walls and found a photo frame having Anika and Shivaay’s photo with a garland and in front of it lied 2 more envelopes and one enlightened diya. Life is so unpredictable and we don’t know how things will go the next moment. He hugged her tightly and kept looking at the photo as if admiring the couple.




*Night*
Chanda was setting the table and Rahul was helping her. Gauri came out of the guest room and was about to leave their house when Chanda stopped her.



Chanda: Where are you going?
Gauri(low voice): I should leave now. Thank you for everything.
Chanda(stern voice): Where will you go? (Gauri remained silent) (she sighed) Gauri you can stay here. We don’t have any problem. And most importantly I have given Anika promise to look after her younger sister. So please sit down and eat. You are weak and I can’t let you go like this.
Gauri(with tears): To always thought about me and my safety but I.....
Chanda: Gauri whatever happened can’t be reversed back to normal. So thinking about it all over again will only cause you pain. So it is better that you forger everything and move on in your life.
Gauri(crying): How can I.....how can I do that..... I can’t....I can’t.....
Chanda(holds her shoulder): At least think about the family and go back to them. Do you Even know what are they going through? They have lost 3 important person in their life. At least not for others.... think about Dadi..... what she might be going through? And Bhavya.... You just left everything on her shoulders and ran away. Is this How you are fulfilling the duty of a DIL? Is this How you are being responsible towards Bhavya who blindly trusted you? Tell me.....



She shook her lightly making Gauri understand while Gauri was just shedding her tears uncontrollably.


Gauri: I know.....I know whatever I have done is not right......But.....But how I live in that house where.....where Di was..... (starts crying hysterically)
Chanda(sighs and hugs her): Gauri.....I know what you are going through....... and trust me even I’m also feeling the same. But you know.....Anika would never want you to be broken like this. She always wants you to be strong and fight. At least not for yourself or anyone but for Dadi..... please go back to Oberoi mansion. Don’t leave Bhavya all alone. At least think about her mental condition too. Go back..... Go back to Oberoi mansion.
Gauri: I need time.
Chanda(carenessing her hair): Take time.... But don’t be too late that you can’t repair anything anymore. ( breaks the hug) Come let’s have dinner.
Gauri: I’m not hungry Chanda Di....I will just.....
Chanda(cutting her in the middle): Anika has given me your responsibility and I will not listen to anything. You are weak and need proper care.  Come.......


She forcefully took her and made her sit. Rahul served everyone and Chanda made Gauri eat and gave her medicines. Gauri gave them a small smile and went back to the guest room. Chanda saw her going and sighed.



Chanda: Did I do right?
Rahul: Of course. If Anika would have been here she would have done the same. Don’t worry she will understand and take wise decision I know that.
Chanda: I’m just doing whatever Anika had said me to do.
Rahul: And I believe in Anika.



He hugged her sideways and she kept her head on his shoulder. They didn’t know what is in store for them or others but they were sure that they would surely live through this phase.



*One week later*
Gauri was somewhat better now. She was still in her white cloths with mangalsutra and sindoor. Whatever happens, whatever she says, she can’t ignore the fact that she is a married woman and she has to think about Omkara. She thought of visiting the temple so that she can finally get the answer that she has been looking for. Preparing all the needed things, she informed Chanda and went.



*Temple*
Gauri stood in front of the idol with her eyes closed. Her full concentration was on her prayer until.... a hand on her shoulder broke her trans. She looked behind and found Dadi. Instantly, she dipped and took her blessings.



Dadi(keeping hand on her head): Khush raho.
Gauri: Dadi..... aap yaha?
Dadi(sad voice): Billu Anika aur Priyanka ki bahut yaad aarehi thi. So thought of coming to temple and find some peace. The house is no more a house. It has turned into a mansion. The eeriness eats me up, the darkness engulfs me. Bhavya is always there with me but.....
Gauri(holds her hand softly): But what Dadi?
Dadi: Omkara and Rudra.....
Gauri(shocked): What happened to them Dadi? Are they fine? And Omkara.... Is he....
Dadi: They are fine.... It is ..... just.... Gauri(holds her hands) Please come back home....please.... I have already lost Anika..... I don’t have the courage to loose you..... I want my elder DIL back to my house. Please Gauri....(folds her hands in front of her) I beg you please come back.....(with some tears)
Gauri(holds her hands): Dadi.... please don’t do like this..... I....I.....




Before she could say anything, Dadi shivered badly and fell down on the floor becoming unconscious. Gauri was shocked seeing her.


Gauri(patting her cheek): Dadi..... Dadi.....Help.... please someone help.... Dadi.....



Some people gathered around them and few of them helped her. Gauri instantly took her to the hospital and called Bhavya on the way.




*Hospital*
Doctors were checking Dadi while Gauri was outside waiting for some news. Bhavya along with Rudra and Omkara arrived.



Bhavya: Bhabi.....
Gauri(tears): Bhavya..... Woh.....woh....Dadi....
Om: What happened to her?
Gauri: I met her in the temple and we were talking suddenly she shivered and fainted. I don’t know what happened to her? She will be fine naa?
Rudra: Dadi again got seizures.
Gauri: Again? What do you mean to say? This is not the first time.
Om: Actually woh.....



“Mr. Oberoi....”

Everyone looked back and saw the doctor standing for them. They went towards him and enquired about Dadi.

Doctor: Nothing severe. She just had an episode of seizure. As I have said that she immediately needs a change of environment or stay to make her happy. Otherwise it can be fatal for the patient.
Om Don’t worry doctor. We will look after her.
Doctor: You can take her home after she gains consciousness. I will take your leave now. (He goes)
Om: You can go now Gauri. We will take care of Dadi. Thank you for your help.
Gauri: Do you think that I’m so inhuman that I will leave Dadi and go. No...never.... (determined voice) I have decided something.
Om(scared within): What have you decided?
Gauri(looks at him directly): I am returning back to Oberoi Mansion.
OmRuVya(surprised): Really?
Gauri: Yes..... But only for Dadi and Mummyji. I am going to see Dadi.



She went inside to meet Dadi and Om finally let his tears flow down which he has been holding back for a long time yet he had a smile on his face. Rudra held his shoulder and he hugged him tightly. Bhavya cried silently with smile understanding their emotions. It seems that finally things are falling into place.



Days went by..... Months rolled by...... Gauri was always with Dadi or Jhanvi taking care of their health and needs. It seemed as if she has become a machine and her work was only limited to Dadi or Jhanvi. She never crossed paths with Om and he also made sure that he never crossed her path. He was in guilt and he thought that staying away from Gauri would remove all his sins  it Dadi can see through their space. Gauri would sleep with Dadi at night and every night Om would come secretly and speak his heart out to her and the only witness to his breakdown would be Dadi. So she decided to speak to his grandson about it.


Om(entering the room on fine day): Dadi..... you called me?
Dadi(patting the bed beside her saying him to sit): Come.... sit here.
Om(vulnerable voice): Dadi can I sit down and keep my head on your lap?
Dadi(smiles lightly): Come.



He laid his head on her lap and closed his eyes. After so many days, he was feeling at peace. She slowly ran her fingers through his hair trying to sooth his nerves.



Dadi(low and loving voice): Om.....
Om: Ji Dadi.....
Dadi: You miss Gauri...... don’t you?


He became silent. She understood his answer and further asked.



Dadi: Om..... Whatever Gauri said that day was just in pain and anger. You know right?
Om: Dadi.....I know whatever Gauri said that wasn’t wrong at all. In fact I am surprised that she returned back to Oberoi mansion. I thought she would never return back. But I guess I have got her back physically..... not mentally. She is in this house yet not. I have done a lot of mistakes..... no....sins and I know she would never forgive me..... ever in her life.
Dadi: But Om..... you love her and she too loves you. It’s just that situations have made you both like this.
Om(dry chuckled): I loved her Dadi..... and I still love her.... (points his heart) This heart still beats for her..... But I have lost her....... I tried to get her in wrong way and now...... She hates me Dadi....  I’m the sole reason why she isn’t with her sister anymore...... I’m the sole why she had misbehaved with Bhabi...... I just want her to forgive me.... that’s it. 
Dadi: Par Om...... You both are husband and wife and I know what all dreams you had for your future with your wife.
Om(sad smile): Sayad meri kismat me yehi likha tha..... It is rightly said.... As you sow so you ripe......(He Sits up) Don’t worry Dadi. I’m absolutely fine. You don’t take any more stress and rest. I will just complete some of my work.


Smiling at her, he went. But both of them failed to notice the lone figure at the side of the door. She came out of her hideout with tears.



Gauri: I can never forgive you Omkara..... Never......



*5 years later*
Everything was same in the house...... Roop ruling the empire, Tej Om and Rudra working under her..... The whole staff is new...... Everything changed but the condition and the gloominess of the house didn’t leave. Dadi was always in temple praying and Jhanvi was spending her time in her NGOs. Gauri and Bhavya were handling the house and trying to make things better.



Dadi(to god): 5 saal ho gaye..... nehi.... 10 saal..... 10 years since this house has witnessed the day of happiness. I failed.....I failed in keeping my family happy.....I failed in keeping my family together..... Please Bhagwan.... do some miracle.... give me some sigh to bring a small amount of happiness here. Please......


A flower fell on her lap making her belief that something will surely happen but before she could even enjoy it, she held her chest and shrieking in pain and fell down on the floor. A maid heard her and called everyone.



*Dadi's room *
Doctor was called and everyone was tensed about her health. She was all fit and fine until morning then suddenly what happened no-one understood. Gauri was shedding tears thinking that it was due to her negligence that Dadi is in this condition. Om saw her and wanted to console her but stopped himself. He indicated Bhavya who went to Gauri and consoled her. Doctor came out making everyone alert.


Doctor: She is fine now. A mild heart attack. Please take care of her. (He went)



Before anyone could go in, Gauri ran inside and sat beside Dadi. She opened her eyes lightly feeling her hand. She smiled lightly and with shivering hands wiped the tears from her face.



Dadi: Why are you crying puttar? I’m fine.
Gauri(crying): Dadi why don’t you take care of yourself. Agar aapko kuch ho jaata toh....

Gauri stepped inside and Om sighed in relief as if he was waiting for this moment. She looked around and found everything in the exact same place how she had left years back.


Om: I just kept it the way you had kept it always.
Gauri: Why?
Om: So that I can feel your presence around me.


She remained silent. He took some courage and stood in front of her. She still looks the same except her eyes which has lost all her charm. With great hesitation, he forwarded his hands and held her hand and she didn’t protest too.


Om(low voice): Gauri..... I am sorry.....I am sorry.....(She didn’t reply) I know whatever I have done can’t be forgiven. But please....... for once please forgive me..... please.....
Gauri(low voice): Omkara..... I can never forgive you.......I’m sorry.....But I can’t.....
Om: I understand....... I understand...... And regarding Dadi’s wish.... please don’t think too much. I will make her understand about it.
Gauri(looks into his eyes): For the second time, Dadi has asked me something ...... And I will fulfil it.
Om(protesting): But.....
Gauri: I will do it. Whatever things are necessary please make arrangements for it. I.....I am ready to take our relationship to the next level......


She frees her hands and ran away. He just looked at the door from where she went and fell down on the ground on his knees.



Om: I never wanted this..... Never..... I.....I can’t.....I do like this..... no......I can’t.....


On the other side, Gauri was also shedding her tears.

She heard a voice. She looked around but found no-one.

And someone appeared in front of her in full white cloths. Gauri saw her and was happy.


Gauri: Di...... You came......
Anika(smiles): I can’t come Chutki because I’m dead.
Gauri: No....No..... you are here.....you .....
Anika: Sshh..... and listen to me very carefully. What are doing? And why are you doing? Om.... why are you punishing him and now when Dadi has asked you something, you are just forcing it on him. Chutki, he loves you. At least in that basis please be good to him.
Gauri: But he killed you Di..... He killed Jiju and Priyanka also.

Someone was shaking her and she woke up with a startled. She looked up to see Him with a worried expression.



Om: Are you fine?
Gauri: I’m fine.....I’m fine.....
Om: How did you faint?
Gauri: I don’t know.....(holds her head)
Om: You take rest. I will send Bhavya.
Gauri: Omkara.....
Om: Hmm.... you want to say something?
Gauri(hesitating): I.....I....
Om: Just calm down and say.
Gauri: I’m accepting Dadi’s wish not by compulsion.....I really want it..... from my heart.
Om: Are you sure? Otherwise we can opt for medical help. I have no....
Gauri: I’m totally sure. We..... we can do it just the way it happens......I’m ready for it.
Om: As you say.



And finally they became one in every sense and truly it was something in compulsion but it was totally from their heart and their underlying love for each other. And few weeks later, the family heard the good news after so many years of darkness.



Dadi(crying with smile): Thank you..... thank you so much.
Gauri: Don’t do like this Dadi..... please.
Dadi(keeping hand on her stomach): My Billu or Anika or Priyanka is coming. Now I don’t want anything else.



Everyone was happy with the news except Roop and she didn’t take a single moment to remind Gauri of Anika and her death leading to a very heated argument between Om and Gauri.

Gauri(crying): I’m just doing whatever you have advised me Di.



She kept on crying for sometime more until due to tiredness sleep took over her. Someone entered the room, made her lye down on the bed properly and covered her and it was none other than Om. Wiping the left over tears from her face, he gently kissed her forehead and her stomach too.


Om(whispers): Papa loves you and mumma a lot baby. But your papa is bad ...... very bad. He made your mumma cry. Don’t worry I won't let her cry anymore. I will go away from her and never show my face. I promise. But remember baby.....papa loves you very much. (Kissing her stomach) Bye baby. (Looks at her) Bye Gauri..... take care of yourself. And.... I love you.....


Kissing her forehead for sometime, he stood up and walking backwards, he left the room to never return.




*Ruvya’s room*
For the 100th time maybe, Bhavya was thinking of opening the letter which Gauri had given her after she return. It was from Anika bhabi and she didn’t have the courage to open it and read till date. Whenever she gains courage and tries to open it, the accident scene flashes in front of her eyes and she puts the letter aside. She thinks that it is due to her that Shivaay, Anika and Priyanka are not with them anymore. Because if she would have been a bit early then she could have stopped them and nothing such thing would have happened. She thinks that she has failed as a police officer, a DIL and now she even thinks that she failing as a wife. Rudra is always busy in business and he is hardly looking into his health. He doesn’t allow Bhavya to interfere in his matters making her miserable. And not to forget Dadi and Mummyji. She couldn’t even look after them well and Gauri bhabi had to return to help her out. Is she really so inefficient or does she really not fit into this whole thing? She  has started feeling insecure and a failure.  And one such failure in her part was Sahil..... Anika’s brother.



*FLASHBACK STARTS *

Death of Shivaay, Anika and Priyanka was a huge setback for the family and now Roop was ruling the empire. Bhavya tried all the ways to bring out her deeds to the world and get her behind the bar but failed miserably. And from then started all the miseries of her life.



Rudra: Can’t you do one single thing? I had said you to put Bua behind the bars and this much also you can’t do.
Bhavya: I tried every possible way. But you know right how she twisted everything and freed herself.
Rudra: Then what is the use of you being here when you can’t help me or us in any way?
Bhavya: What do you mean to say?
Rudra: You can’t do one single thing properly. You can’t look after the house nor Dadi nor mom anything. And when I had asked your help regarding Bua's matter you can’t do anything. I don’t know why did I even marry you.
Bhavya(shouts): Rudra..... think before you speak. What are you even speaking do you have any idea?
Rudra: I’m saying the truth. I don’t know how I got blinded in your love and get married to you.



He said those words and walked away. He didn’t even realise what kind of damage he had done to her. Bhavya who always craved for a family was now getting one but seems like it was never in her fate. Even after being a strong police officer, she has the heart of a girl and hearing Rudra all her self confidence broke which flowed down in form of tears. She just sat down on the floor with a thud and tried to find out her mistake in all these. But found none.


This was the regular session with them. Rudra would shower all his anger on Bhavya and her self confidence would break bit by bit. She couldn’t share with anyone in the family as everyone was broken. She thought that okay whatever happens at the end of the day, she could at least keep her head on his chest and sleep peacefully though he never gets to know about it........ But all her illusion broke like a shattering glass.


Bhavya was in Sahil’s school as he wanted return back home. He is still unaware of the dark harsh reality of his life and everyone had decided to not tell him ever. He was said that Shivaay and Anika have settled in abroad and whenever he wants to talks to them a person was hired to talk with him. Life has already been harsh on this small kid and they didn’t want him to face more.



Sahil: Bhavya didi when is Anika Di and Shivaay Jiju coming back? I haven’t seen them for so many days..... not days years. Say naa.....
Bhavya(quickly change topic): Sahil..... are you hungry? I’m very hungry. Let’s eat something then we will continue. Okay?
Sahil: Yes.....I’m very hungry.



She smiled and sighed mentally that he easily forgot the matter. They stopped by a restaurant.


Bhavya: Sahil..... you order whatever you want. I will just come from washroom.



He nodded and dug into the menu card. She smiled at him and went. And it would have been better if she hadn’t gone because the scene in front of her just snatched the ground under her feet. Rudra was seen kissing some random girl and almost having a make out with her. He looked drunk. Bhavya broke and her steps retreated backwards. She went back to the table to find it empty. She freaked out. Where did the kid go? She looked around the place but didn’t find him until an announcement in the television caught her attention.



*News*
Today is the day that the most dreadful accident had occurred almost 4 years back exactly here in this area...... And we have lost the most successful business Shivaay Singh Oberoi along with his wife Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi and His sister Priyanka Singh Oberoi. It was the most darkest death of the whole Mumbai as we have not only lost Shivaay Singh Oberoi but also the most successful business woman Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi too. We can hardly imagine how their family is able to cope up with such a huge lose.....



No.... this can’t happen. Sahil..... did he hear it? No....



She ran out and tried to find him...... She was unable to find him. She was growing restless..... Some distance away she saw a crowd. She feared something worst. With slow steps, she approached and moved the people away..... And......


Bhavya(shouts): Sahil......



She sat down beside him and kept his head on her lap. His head was badly injured. She wasn’t able to think anything until someone suggested to take him to hospital. She picked him up and ran towards her car and rushed towards the hospital.



*Hospital*

Bhavya didn’t have the courage to call Gauri and inform her about it. Otherwise she would break beyond repair. She didn’t inform anyone and tried to handle the situation by herself. She was praying from her heart but Rudra’s face flashed in her eyes making her cry. Today she lost her only reason of peace. The struggling 5 hours were the most difficult for her ever and the news henceforth was the most dreadful.


Doctor: We are sorry. But he slipped into coma.



She lost everything......Her faith.....Her self confidence.....Her peace everything......

Sahil is still in coma and seems as if he has lost his interest to live. Gauri and others are still unaware about it. Bhavya would secretly go everyday to meet him and spend ample amount of time with him. But today she just wanted to be drown in her sorrows when the letter caught her eyes. She wants to open it and see what Anika bhabi had written it to her. With shivering hands, she finally opened the envelope and took the paper out and started reading.


*Letter*
Dear Meri Choti devrani..... naa too old fashioned..... Dear Meri Choti behen.....

Though we have interacted very less but I don’t know why I fell as if I know for a long time. Well let’s keep all these at the side and focus on something else. Well, Bhavya.....you knew how and who Shivaay is..... still you didn’t even once cross questioned or tried to cross question anyone about it. Well since it was all open and close case but at least for once you could have seriously tried to go into the depth of the case then I guess our family would have survived. But..... no problem. You did what you thought was right. In fact I should thank you that when my own sister had turned her face away from me you never did. Though, you were.....or are a police officer but when this stupid thing called love comes in between naa..... then we forget everything that matters to us. And I don’t blame you because I’m also in love with my Shivaay and that is why I took up something which I never wanted to. I did things which I never thought I would ever do in my life. Well life goes on and I just have one request to you. Keep the family happy and Gauri too. Never leave the family ever especially Rudra. He is a kid and whatever he does it is out of childishness. And if ever you think that he has done something wrong then face him question him rather than walking away from him. He is like that small kid who needs guidance. Never leave him or the family....... She cried reading it. How did she know what is she going through? How did she know that Rudra would do something ...... how? She cried her heart out holding the letter close to her heart until no more tears could escape her eyes. She saw that one more letter was there and that was for Sahil. Now is she supposed to give him when...... One thing can be done..... She wiped her tears and prepared to visit Sahil and read out the letter to him. Maybe he responds......



*Hospital*
He is just as he was for the past one year. Bhavya carenessed his hair and kissed the kid's forehead. She asked the doctor about any improvement but got the same reply. She sat down beside him and started talking.

Bhavya: How are you Sahil? I know you are fine and enjoying seeing that I’m so tensed about you. You are very mischievous I know but this much I never thought. How can you make me suffer so much? Are you planning to leave us like Shivaay Bhaiya and Anika bhabi? Then please don’t otherwise Me and Gauri bhabi will surely die. Please Sahil don’t do this. Okay fine.....you know what have for you today......a Letter that your Anika Didi has written it to you. Want to hear? Of course you want to. Let me read.



She opened the letter and started reading.

Dear Sahil......
How are you? I hope you are fine. Before you scold me, let me just say one thing...... I am sorry Sahil......I’m very sorry. In my own grief and tension I completely forgot about you. But I know that you will never forget your Anika Didi. So many times.....so many times you wanted to meet me but I would always cancel it because I didn’t wanted you to see how your sister is...... Sahil.....you will hear many things in and around...... many suggestions.....many taunts..... many things. But promise me.... promise me that you will never loose hope on anything and live your life..... you will never judge anyone without listening to the other person completely..... She folded the paper and her tears were again flowing down her eyes. Anika Bhabi..... what did you just do...... Suddenly she felt a twitch in his fingers. She was surprised. She wiped her tears and called the doctor immediately.



Doctor: He is showing some improvement and it’s a very good sigh. I guess he would wake up very soon.

This is the best news That. She has got after Gauri bhabi's pregnancy. She thanked God for it.

Gauri woke up from her sleep and found herself to be well tucked in the bed. She understood who might have done it. She silently went to freshen up and then check upon Dadi and Jhanvi. She was getting ready when a piece of paper caught her attention. She took it and read what it is written.



Dear Gauri,
I know I have done a lot of mistakes..... no....Sins and even if I try to repent for it, I won’t be able to wash all of them away ever. And I also know that you don’t like my presence. So..... I’m just going....away from you. Don’t worry I will never cross your path But I just request one thing please..... Please allow me to accompany you in your doctor visits..... Please..... I just want to be a part of our.....no....no.... your baby. Please I request you this much from you. Please.....And if you agree to my request then just drop a message just saying yes. Then I promise I won’t bother you ever.


Om....




She read the letter again and again..... And finally crumbled it into a ball and threw it away. She didn’t know what she was feeling. She should be happy that he won’t be disturbing her but why is it also hurting her. She didn’t do anything and went to Dadi. Meanwhile, Om was sitting on his car bonnet and looking over the valley from where all the miseries of their life had started. He had his phone tightly held as if it would vanish and he would miss out something very important. He had some faith that she would surely agree but his other side also said that she wouldn’t. He kept on looking at the infinity.



*Late at night*

Gauri was holding her phone and debating what to do. She was all confused. She closed her eyes and leaned on to the headboard and automatically her hand went towards her stomach. Carenessing lightly she remembered the night of their union. He has equal right on the baby as she has and she has no right to stop him. She got her answer. Opening her eyes, she tapped on his name and slide right calling him.


Here Om was too lost and his last bit of hope was breaking. He sighed and stepped down. He was about to open the door of the car when his phone rang. He was about to cut the call when the caller id caught his attention and without wasting time He picked it up.


*Phone conversation *

For sometime none of them spoke a single word. Their breathing was the only thing that was heard. Finally, she broke the silence.

Gauri(whispers): Yes....
Om(whispers): Thank you.... Thank you so much.
Gauri: Take care.
Om: You too. Please take care of yourself properly.
Gauri: Good night.
Om: Good night.


Still they didn’t hang up and finally after a few minutes she cut the call.

*Conversation ends*


Om smiled little with tears and looked up as if thanking God...... no.... Shivaay and Anika to help him.



Admist in all these...... in the other part of the world we can see an all together a different scenario.


*Somewhere in the world*

A tall tower was seen just in the middle of the heart of the city but quite far away from the busy roads. The name plate outside reads ‘ The Paradise'. Let's peep inside to see what’s going on.


“Guten Morgen Mr. Adam. Wann kommst du zum Treffen? ......... Sicher. “


A young man in his suit was seen talking. He cut the call and was about to ask something from the maid when loud music blasted through the whole house. He got scared for a moment but later shook his head in dismal. He went up to the third floor through the elevator. He walked towards the source of the sound and just stood outside a door which was open. He looked inside to see a pregnant lady of about 6 to 7 months singing in her full voice.

She was singing so loudly that she failed to notice someone at the door...... And along with her was a young girl wearing a cute pink Minnie mouse frock with two piggy tails dancing on the tunes. The pregnant lady was just moving her hands and dancing sitting on the bed. The song came to an end and both of them laughed out loud.



Man: Are you done girls?
P. Lady(smiles widely): Yes.....
Y. Lady: I’m going to freshen up. Meet you guys later. (She kissed the lady on her cheeks and her tummy and later the Man and went)
Man: So let’s make you ready for the day Mrs. Saigal.
P. Lady: As you say Mr. Saigal.



Shaking his head, he helped her stand and both of them went inside the washroom. (Eyes closed guys.... give some privacy to them....😋😋)




*Later*

All the three of them were sitting on the table and waiting for breakfast when an elderly lady came. The Man got up and took blessing from her by touching her feet and the young lady too did it. The old lady blessed both of them as well as the pregnant woman.




Old lady: When are you leaving Steve?
Steve(the man): Just now. But I’ll be back by afternoon. We have doctors appointment today.
Old lady: Okay that is good. Ana?
Ana(pregnant lady): Yes....?
Old lady: No need to go for work today. You can work from home now.
Ana: Yes, granny. I have also thought the same.
Granny(smiles): That’s good. And Praticia?
Praticia(young lady): Granny..... today is the last day of my internship and then I would joining brother's company.
Granny: That’s good.



They finished their breakfast. Steve kissed Ana's forehead and her stomach bidding her bye and went with Patricia.

Doctor(smiles): Good. I will get the report and your prescription. (She went)
Anika: Shivaay.....(One more jhatka) See our baby is looking so beautiful.
Steve(or Shivaay): Yes Anika..... (holding her hand and kissing it) Thank you..... for everything.
Anika(smiles): You don’t need to.....
Shivaay(smiles): But I should......





She shook her head and he kissed her lips lightly.

She is this weird little kid.....no little young lady who was very random once upon a time and now she is very active.....(bless my fingers). She would always be behind me for when the updates and when the updates and I as usual would say..... Very soon..... But.... But.... She was over everyone and would actually talk to me regarding everything and I also got a sibling in her form though I already have an annoying brother and she just got added to the list. Jokes apart. She is just the cutest, active and energetic lady that I have met in this platform and I would neverwant to loose her..... Never.... (I hope you understood about my feelings.....
