"Who is it?" I ask as I get to the door

"Mai hoon" Shivaay says on the other side

"Main, main kon.. bakri" I pick at him

"Come on Annika let me in."

I opened the door, he standing there with a big smile on his face.

"U tell me to ask who it is before answering the door, but then u don't tell me." I said pouting at end

"U know who it was when I said it was me," he tells me

"Anybody can say that, it's me."

"Funny"

I turn walking into the kitchen, Shivaay behind me."

"Guess who I saw at the mall today."

"Who he asks

"Tia"

"Oh"

I start fixing him a bite to eat

"She was with Robin Henry."

"That so, if ur trying to make me mad it's not working. I know how Tia is,"

I set a plate of warmed up garlic bread in front of him.

"Y do u put up with her" I ask

He shrugs

"Because she puts up with me."

"U can have any girl u want, but u choose her" I set down beside him

"No, I can't have any girl I want."

"Oh is there any girl u r interested in" I ask with a smile

"Maybe" digging his food he replied with his eyes down there only

"Do I know her"

"Maybe" He said having another bite n looking into his plate as it is something most important thing in this whole world.

"Nope" he said giving his smile n eyeing me this time

"So" I say biting my jaw

After Shivaay n Gunjan left I set up watching TV. Not actually watching it, my mind was on Shivaay. I wonder what would have happened if he hadn't have gotten up when he did. I was ready for his mouth to touch mine.

Sometime during the night I must have fallen asleep while being in his thoughts

The night of the dance Gauri came over so we would pick out the dress we would wear. Dad had bought me three dresses to choose from, so I needed Gauri's advice. She came ol ready. We stand in my room looking into the full length mirror that hang on my closet door.

"I don't know" I tell Gauri

I wear a pink dress that goes down to the floor. It has a sweetheart neckline nd an open back, with off shoulders sleeves.

"I like it" Gauri says

"What if I trip on it" I throw my hands up turning from the mirror

I start kicking off, the next on I try is a baby blue colour that goes past my knees. It too has that sweetheart neckline; it has spaghetti straps. Nd It flares out with four layers on skirt alone.

I turn back to mirror; then my legs start itching.

"It's pretty" Gauri was awwwwe seeing the dress

"I'll be itching my legs ol night" I told her

I turn taking off, I look at the last one, it's a dark green colour simple.it comes above knees with slits at the waist sides n low back. It's a one piece.

"May be I shouldn't go" I tell Gauri

"U r going, u said u would, so get up n put that dress on, let's see what u look like in it." Gauri insisted

"I feel bad that my dad put ol his money in a dress" I tell her

"They r on loan sweetheart, so come on we will choose one n loan over as dad could return other 2 okay now gear up wear it I wanna see how u look get up sweetie please, see if u won't go I will also not go."

She grabs my hand pulling me up, off the bed

"What if I do something stupid" I ask her as she pulls the dress over my head

"U won't make a fool of urself, I won't let u" She put it correct n set n then steps away looking at me

"Wow" she says

"I look ridiculous don't I" I ask her seeing my reflection in my mirror

"U idiot u look super stunning, pata h agar m ladka hoti na to yehi p tumhe kis.." I cut gauri n hit her on her shoulder

"Hawwwww Gauri tu pagal wagal hogayi h kya kuch b bolti h matlab.."

I already did my makeup but I give a touch up quickly n did my nails n Gauri did my hairs done. Wearing my hair down and brushed to shine. My make - up was simple. Lipstick n put my ear rings.

I step up looking into the mirror; I can't help but smile at the girl in the mirror.

"U like it" Gauri asked

"This isn't me."

"Yes honey, it is u."

I turn to her

"U really think it looks nice" I ask

"Yes, q tujhe abhi b shak h,hmmmm... chalo now let's get our shoes on and get out of here."

I smile slipping my heels, my dad had brought for me. Arm in arm, Gauri n I descend the stairs. Daddy stood at the bottom.

"Wow" he says "U girls look amazing, makes me wish I was younger and could take u both with me arm in arm."

"Thank u Mr. handsome" Gauri n I said in unison

"Alright let's get a picture" Dad says

I stand beside Gauri smiling as dad takes not one or two but some more pics of us n some selfies with us.

"Now I have to have one with my this daughter, if u don't mind Gauri" Dad tells her , pointing towards me

"Not at all" She takes the camera

"U look like ur mother" daddy whispers as he puts an arm around me with tears brimming in his eyes.

I turn to dad n The camera flashes.

"I love u daddy," I tell him with my moist eyes n hug him

He kisses my cheek, N here goes another flash

"I love u too sweetheart"

"Alright, I hate to break up this emotional moment, but we need to go" Gauri tells us

I smile n leave my dad's palm with a heavy heart n take Gauri's arm again. We move n I turn back n saw my dad wiping his tear which escaped his eyes n I turn to stop mine.

"U girls b careful" Dad yells out

"We will" I tell him moving n without seeing back maybe then I wouldn't have moved more.

I watch out the window as we pull into our school parking lot where the dance event is held.

"Oh God y am I nervous" I ask Gauri

"I have no idea, but u r making me nervous too" she tells me then "Let's go n have fun

We both get out n linking our arms together we head for gym. There r balloons n confetti everywhere. Streamers r there n there was a look of disco n dj , dim lights n a big banner that says class off 2018.

"It's beautiful" I tell Gauri

"U glad, u came, now hmm" she asked raising her brows

"Ask me in a few more minutes" I tell her taking in my surroundings

There were tables lined against the walls in the back with food n punch set on it. The punch was a light blue n red colour matching with the décor. And the table clothes were white.

Gauri drags me toward the tables.

"I don't think I should eat anything right now" I tell her as she starts to hand me a plate with apiece of blue n white cake on it.

"Y"

"I might get sick."

She re - places it then drags me to the punch bowl

"U think it's spiked" she asked me

"I don't know; u try it n if not then get me a cup b4 some1 does spike it."

She laughs getting her a cup; she takes a sip

"Not bad" she tells me

Then hands me a cup, she was right it wasn't bad at all.

Gauri drags me to one of the tables to sit at nd the dancing begins. We sat n watch as couples move across the floor. About the third song, Gauri gets up grabbing my hand.

"What" I ask as she pulls me up

"Let's dance" she yells to b heard

I smile letting her lead me to the floor. The song has changed to an upbeat song, so our bodies grind into the others as we move across the floor. I have my back towards as we dance together. We both move down dancing with our hands above our heads entwined n then we move up gain.
My eyes meet Shivaay's from across the room; he watches me dance as we both go down again. I feel my heart pounding as he just stands staring at me. He was looking so different I mean more handsome than ever.

He was non stop staring me.

"R u ok" Gauri ask

And I realised I have stopped

"Yeah" I give her a smile n resume my dancing

We dance on different songs for a while. Then the principal gets up on the centre stage, n everything stops.

"Can I have ur attention please?" She ask

We all look up at her.

"I am so happy that u could make it for this special dance. And now we r going to mix things up; I want ol d guys to find a girl he didn't come up with n treat her to a dance.

Some of the guys start moving finding girls n pulling them on the floor.

"Don't b shy boys; every girl deserves at least one dance . n same applies to u too girls." The principal tells

I look across the room again my eyes finding Shivaay as he starts into the crowd. Then as I realise it is me, he is coming towards, my heart starts to beat faster.

Oh hell, I thought

"Hi" his eyes meet mine

"Hi"
He licks his lips

"Would u care to dance" he ask

"Sure" it comes out as a whisper

He takes my hand n leads me to the dance floor, my heart pumping in my throat now. He pulls me to him as he finds a spot, his arm going around me as his other hand takes mine.

"I'm glad u came." He says as he leads us

"I almost didn't"

Someone bumps me n Shivaay pulls me closer to him. I feel the heat rise up within me as my chest hits his.

"U look beautiful tonight" he tells me

I smile

"U know that's the first time u told me that with my clothes on" I tell him

He smiles

"U r a good dancer" I tell him as we sway across the floor

"U r not bad urself"

"I caught u watching." I told him

"Okay, so I have a confession for u; I was dreaming it was me u were grinding against" Shivaay tells me

He turns me to where I am dancing as his front to my back. I let out a breath, my eyes on the crowd in front of me. I see Tia; she stands against a wall her eyes full of hate as she watches me n Shivaay dancing together. He pulls me closer n I gasp out feeling his thick cock against my leg

"Am I going b watching Gunjan tomorrow?" I ask Shivaay, looking over my shoulder at him

He turns me to him again pulling me close.

"Yeah, speaking of Gunjan, she wants picture of US."

I look up at him

"Yup, she tells me if Ani is going b there get some pictures with her."

I smile. We dance a while without speaking then

"This is nice" Shivaay says "It's kind of making love without actually doing it."

Once again my eyes meet with his, I have to look away from him.

We start towards where, the girl is taking pictures I mean she was busy in selfie. So we plan to take her help as she was looking towards Shivaay with different eyes. She came to us before we talk to her she asked Shivaay to have some pictures with her, he nodded.

"What r u doing Shivaay baby" I hear Tia ask

We both turn to her

"I'm getting my picture took." He tells her with a duh attitude

"No not without me, u r not." Tia speaks

"Look I'm doing it for my mom" he lies

"Why"

"Because my mother wants a picture of Annika and me together."

"Y" she asks again

"I have done telling u that my folks n her dad r friends." Shivaay said frustratingly

"U can have him all to urself afterwards Tia" Pinki ( Pinkisaha2012 ) the one with the camera said

Tia gives me n Pinki a death glare as we walkaway from her.

"She doesn't like us being together" I tell Shivaay

"Well, that's just too bad isn't it." He asked

"So, Mr. Shivaay can I have my selfie now now no disturbance will b here" said Pinki the girl with camera

She n Shivaay took some pics in her mobile.

Now it was our turn

"Just two of u" Pinki the photographer for the evening asks

"Yeah" Shivaay tells her

I smile for all the pictures.

Then in the last one, she tells us to look one another. I look up at Shivaay, n I feel my body come to life. His eyes move to my lips then back to my eyes. Neither, one of us, smile in that picture. When the camera flashes, it took our that moment captured n once again it flashes n I blink looking away.

"I better b headed home" I tell Shivaay

"U two look sooo good together, just a perfect couple" said Pinki the camera girl

"Oh, we r not........" I start

"We r just friends" Shivaay tells her

She smiles at us as we walk away

"U will soon know that what u r to each other" she speaks from our back

"Can I ask y u r leaving so early?" Shivaay ask

"I don't belong here, Shiv"

"Yes, u do"

I smile

"Thank u for the dance n the pictures."

"Ur welcome"

"I need to go n find Gauri."

"That won't be too hard." Shivaay said looking behind me

I look behind me where he was seeing, Gauri is right there

"Gauri" I call to her she turns

"Annika" Shivaay calls me

I turn back to him

"Thank u for everything" he leans into me kissing my cheek "I'll see u tomorrow."

I smile as he walks away, it disappears as I see Tia throw her arms around him.

"Anni" Gauri says

I turn to her

"I need to be get going home" I tell her with a fake smile plastering my face

"So soon"

"Yeah, thank u for making me come."

She smiles

"Thank u Ani for coming n accompanying me" Gauri says hugging me

We head out, in the car we ride in silence.

"I had fun" Gauri says when we stop at my house

"Me too"

"I can't believe that Shivaay Singh Oberoi asked u to dance" She says with a bright smile

"I can't believe he came up to me."

"I know right, u two talked a lot, what was it u were talking about" Gauri asked

"School n things" I replied not meeting her eyes n hiding my nervousness

"Acha, n I also saw him giving u that kiss.." She grinning asked me n I was hell red in blush embarrassment I don't know y my heart was pounding so hard on just the mention of that kiss which was first time in public we were so closed.

"It was a.. cheek kiss Gauri, or aab tere yeh question answer session band kar thaki nahi h kyat u dance kar ke"

"No, Ani I'm not tired, acha so tell me, he wanting u."

"I don't think so gauri ki aisa kuch b hai, stop running ur mind on different track"

"The way he had his hands all over u during dance,...... I think so" She said winking towards me

I roll my eyes at her

"We were just dancing."

"Then pictures after....hmmm" She asked raising her brows

"That was for his mother"

"Hmmm, right" Gauri said shaking her head in disbelief n I turn my face from her

"I'll see u tomorrow" I tell her getting out

"Love u" She yells out of the window

"Love u too" I replied turning back n giving her a flying kiss

I head into the house, knowing that my dad was gone I head up to my room. Taking one last look in the mirror, I smile, then go to the bathroom to wash the make - up off n get ready for the bed.

Tonight has been excellent, I enjoyed dancing with my friends, I enjoyed dancing with Shiv. But it was time to get back to real life.
