baingan (drabble)

Dhara finally exchanged the orange dress Shiva so mercilessly called "waahiyat" and got a beautiful, less tacky, purple dress instead. She was sure Raavi would love it.

It was 11 pm and Dhara decided she wanted to give this dress to Raavi to see her reaction. As she walked past the kitchen window, she heard their whispers,

".....mujhe nahi pata tha tujhe red itna pasand hai" Shiva smirked, trapping Raavi between him and the kitchen counter.

"Ab agar mera pati mere liye gift khareed ke laaye, toh mai mana thodi karti." Raavi huskily said, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Accha? Pati laaya hai, toh pati ke liye kab pehnogi? Kyuki aur koi toh tujhe usme dekh nahi sakta, aur mai dekhne bhi dunga." Shiva kissed her cheek, tucking strands of her hair behind her ear.

"Woh toh hai. Par tujhe kaise pata red mujhe suit karega?" Raavi played with the curls at the base of his neck.

"Ek ye tha aur ek purple colour ka. Toh mai ye waala le aaya."

"Thank god mere pati ki choices acchi hai," Raavi sighed, placing her head on his shoulder, "Puri ki puri baingan lagti mai agar dusra wala laata toh"

Shiva chuckled as he placed his hands on her waist, pulling her closer and whispered in her ears, "Par mujhe toh baingan bhi pasand hai, aur tu bhi."

Raavi looked up at him, with a gleam in her eyes, "Tu kahe toh abhi pehenke dikha du tujhe?"

"Badi naughty ho rahi hai tu" Shiva smirked, bending down to carry her in his arms, to their room, away from prying eyes of certain people.

As Raavi shrieked and giggled at all the things Shiva whispered in her ears, Dhara took one look at the dress she bought, and it was the definition of baingan.

She tossed away the dress in anger, and fumed her way to the room, wondering how Shiva bought Raavi something she liked and would wear only for him in the first try itself.

Little did she know, that if the sexy red baby-doll lying in the room had a face, it would be laughing at her right now.
