"What? A witch?" Brendon yelled as he ran over to Ryan.

"Quiet Ryan! You're going to wake Helena. And we don't want her cryin' again." Frank said.

"But there's a witch outside!"

The group crowded around the door feeling nervous and worried. They took turns looking through the window. Outside stood another woman, different from Hayley yet around the same height.

"Ryan that's a girl. Not a witch." Gerard said flatly.

"But... but... but look at her hair!" Ryan said.

"Okay so it's half pink and half black. Doesn't mean she's a witch!" Pete said.

"Doesn't mean she's not a witch." Ryan mumbled.

Brendon opened the door cautiously. "H-hi. Can we help you?"

"No." the maybe-witch said.

"Okay..." Brendon said awkwardly. "Why are you here?"

"I'm here to help you. My name is Melanie. Here. Take this. You'll need it."

Melanie handed them a small white paper bag. With a big smile revealing a gap between her front teeth she was already walking off the steps and out of sight. With confused faces, the guys headed back inside and sat down on the couch near Helena's crib. They spoke in quiet whispers.

"Should we open the bag?"

"I don't know. It might not be safe."

"What if it's a weapon or something?"

"Who in their right mind would hand us a weapon?"

"Exactly! She wouldn't be in her right mind!"

"She was so creepy."

"Hold on how did she even get onto this island?"

"I have no clue. Maybe she was sent to us by Billie Joe."

"But if Billie Joe sent her here wouldn't she have said so?"

"What if it's like.. a bomb in there?"

"A bomb? Who would randomly had us a bomb in a bag?"

"It's such a small bag too."

"And really light. I doubt it's a bomb. Let's open it."

Before anybody could protest, Dallon opened the bag slowly. All there was was a small pacifier and two sets of clothes. The pacifier was purple with some blue decorations on it. There was also a pair of fuzzy blue pajamas and an even fuzzier pink and green sleeper. Next to to that was a pretty yellow sundress and some shorts to go on underneath. There was even a little matching yellow barrette. That was all. No bomb. Just a pacifier. And some clothes. They decided it would be best if they kept it right next to Helena's crib so the moment she started crying they would test it out.

"Okay now can we finally enjoy some time alone? Without children crying or strangers pounding at the door?" Ray asked.

"I'm hungry." Bob said.

"Shut up Bob." Four people said simultaneously.

"I'm hungry." Bob said, crossing his arms.

"Bob you need to wait. It's not dinner time yet. It's only four o'clock." Brendon said.

"I said I'm hungry!" Bob said, stomping his foot to remind everyone how stubborn he was being.

"Bob! You need to wait until dinner time!" Frank said.

"When's dinner?"

"Not now!"

"Well then I want a snack."

"Bob you can't have a snack." Brendon said.

"Why?"

"Because we don't have any food to spare, gosh darn it!" Brendon snapped, getting irritated.

"Well I'm HUNGRY!"

"He's so starving." Ryan said. "I sort of feel bad. He didn't have a big lunch today anyway."

"You stupid fool!" Gerard roared. "Why wouldn't you eat lunch?"

"Well I wanted to be last in line because it's your house and your food and I'm just a guest and Andy was in the bathroom. So instead of waiting for him to finish up in the bathroom I decided I would just get my food before him. I felt bad about going before him so I didn't take much to save a lot for him."

"Huh. What a nice story to make us feel guilty." Gerard said.

"No! It's real, I swear!" Bob said.

"It's true." Andy confirmed. "I was last but I was surprised how much food was left."

"I kind of believe him." Ryan said.

"Okay fine! Let's let him have a small snack!" Frank said.

"What though? We have some stale bread left over from the loaf Joe brought and a few waffles left. Oh and Cheez Whiz. Lots and lots of Cheez Whiz." Dallon said.

"And baby food." Joe added.

"Hmmm. Baby food." Gerard said with a sly look on his face. "After all, we are babysitting you."

"Gerard don't you dare." Brendon warned.

Gerard picked up a jar on the counter and examined it. "Sweet potatoes and chicken. Sounds yummy. Right Bob?"

Bob said nothing.

"Gerard, come on. I mean, I know he was mean to me and... and mean to us and all but... Do you really think this is right?" Mikey said, nervously twitching his fingers.

"Of course. It's a healthy snack for babies."

"Yes, for babies." Dallon said. "Not adults."

"What about adult babies?" Gerard asked. "He's one of 'em."

"Bob how does this sound for a snack?"

"I mean I'm okay with that." Bob said, shrugging, clearly not caring.

Gerard frowned. the fun was over. Once Bob didn't show any signs of disgust it wasn't fun for Gerard anymore. He handed Bob the jar after opening the lid. Bob downed it in a few seconds.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome." Gerard said quietly.

5:00 P.M.

"DALLON! THE WIND IS BLOWING EASTWARD. TURN YOUR BACK THAT WAY!"

"Pete, it's westward. That way is East." Patrick told Pete while steering him in the right direction.

"OKAY UM THE WIND IS BLOWING WESTWARD. TURN YOUR BACK THE OTHER WAY!"

"How did we end up doing this again?" Mikey cried out nervously.

Everyone stood underneath a palm tree craning their necks up to watch Dallon. He decided he would try once more to gather coconuts for dinner. Aside from two leftover waffles there was not enough to eat so Dallon said they had no choice but to let him try again, besides, his ankle was almost back to normal. After the incident last time, everyone was wary about letting him back up into the tree but he insisted.

"OKAY I GOT ONE." Dallon screamed down to the group. "I'M GONNA DROP IT, OKAY? EVERYONE MOVE OUT OF THE WAY."

They scrambled to get away from the tree and watched as three coconuts fell to the sand with quiet thumps. After that came four more. Then two others. Eventually they had a decent pile of twelve coconuts on the sand. Dallon climbed down from the tree and helped pick up the coconuts.

"Hold on you guys, where is Helena?" Mikey asked.

"Patrick has her." Ray responded.

They turned to Patrick who remained empty handed. "No. I handed her off to Joe."

Now Joe was in the spotlight. "And then I gave her to Ray."

Ray frowned. "I had her for three minutes. I delivered her to Pete."

Pete clearly didn't have Helena. "I passed her to Bob."

"Bob? You gave Helena to Bob?  Nice going, smart guy. Giving a child to a guy like Bob." Gerard said.

Bob frowned.

"What did you do with her?" they hissed at him.

"Frank ripped her out of my arms. He said my hands were too dirty to hold a baby like her."

"Frank. Where did she end up after that?"

"Um... I don't remember." Frank whispered.

This sent everyone into a panic.

"FRANK!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T REMEMBER?"

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US?"

"WE HAVE TO FIND HER."

"I HOPE SHE'S OKAY."

"YOU ARE NEVER HOLDING HER AGAIN!"

They raced into the house in panic, ditching the coconuts in the sand.

"I'LL CHECK THE BATHROOMS!" Frank yelled.

"SHE MIGHT BE IN HER CRIB." Brendon said.

"How?" Mikey exclaimed, tears welling in his eyes. "Babies can't put themselves in cribs!"

With twelve desperate adults, you would think they would be quick to find a baby. The house was a mess within the first minute, pillows being tossed off the couch to look for her, her crib was disassembled in seconds, all the blankets of all the beds were thrown to the floor. Everybody was so worried about finding her in an obscure place, they completely overlooked the obvious spots.

Little Helena sat upright leaning against a wall in the corner of the room. Had they been paying attention they would have heard her first laugh. And yet for another 6 minutes, the chaos endured. It got so bad that they were checking highly unlikely places such as on top of the fridge, in the toilet, inside the fridge, in Joe's dog cage.

Finally, Patrick heard her laughter.

"NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE HER HERE!' Patrick yelled, running over to Helena.

He scooped her up in his arms and whispered to her. "You're fine. You're safe. We won't let you out of our sight again. Don't worry honey."

She just smiled and reached u to touch Patrick's nose. Helena was then passed around so everybody had a chance to hold her after the tragic almost-incident. When she got around to Andy, things took a bad turn. Helena made some coughing noises before going silent and continuing to struggle. She looked as if she was gasping for breath but she couldn't get any air in.

"Is she... choking?!" Brendon yelled.

"On what?! There's nothing here!" Andy said, frantically.

They swarmed her, unsure of what to do to help her. Patrick grabbed her quickly and pat her on the back, allowing her to fill her lungs with air once again. He had experience with destroying and fixing lungs.

"Phew, that was close. I was really worried we were going to lose her." Patrick said, handing the baby back to Andy. As soon as she was placed in his arms, the same deal happened. She coughed a few times and eventually fell silent, chocking on air, her lips turning a light shade of blue. Andy tried to pat her on the back using Patrick's gentle technique, but it failed. Patrick took her back and calmly patted her. She breathed in again, gasping for air.

"Oh my gosh she's choking on Andy's small ego!" Pete exclaimed.

"What?!" Andy said. "That's literally impossible!"

"What did I tell you?" Pete said, thinking back to when the house-proofing group was unsure of what to do about Andy's small, chokeable ego.

"Don't do that again, Bob." Gerard warned.

Bob threw his hands up. "What?! I'm standing ten feet away from you all! I did nothing!"

Andy frowned as everyone agreed not to let him hold Helena again.

Once everyone else had a chance to mother (or father, I guess) Helena a bit, they moved on to dinner. Coconuts weren't very filling but they certainly tasted good. They used the last of the stale bread and poured coconut milk on it so it tasted sweeter. They ate the coconuts separately and called it a night. They fed Helena a jar of baby food (this time it was winter squash) and got her changed into a fresh diaper and her pajamas and sleeper. After that they put her down in her crib in hopes she would fall asleep.

But since when do babies let people sleep through the night?

Let's just say it was one of the worst nights of all of their lives.
