The group sat waiting patiently at the table. Mikey had been in the kitchen for a long time. Was he coming back? Was he okay? Did he find a stash of pancakes and was chowing down without them? Suddenly, he stumbled out of the room and ran back to the table out of breath.

"They're uh... busy right now! Let's just get into our swim suits and find the pool on our own." He said in between gasps.

Moments later, Tyler came out of the kitchen holding a giant knife. "Did you guys see a rat run out of here? We think there was a rat in the kitchen! It made a weird, choking noise."

"Well whatever it was, it's probably gone." Mikey said nervously, shifting from foot to foot.

"Tyler!" Josh called from the kitchen. "Are we gonna finish?"

Tyler turned red and yelled out, "Uh, um, yeah, uh... let's uh... finish washing those dishes... Heh. Yeah."

"No, not the dishes I meant-" Josh started to say.

"YEAH I CAUGHT ON JOSH. AND SO HAS LIKE, EVERYONE ELSE OUT HERE." Tyler yelled, furious and mortified.

"We have no idea what you're talking about." Gerard said.

"Yeah, I actually thought you meant dishes." Brendon said, being truthful.

Nobody understood what they meant.

Well.

Except Mikey.

On the main deck, after the slight incident with Tyler and Josh

"Maybe there's another pool?" Dallon said, confused.

Everyone stood around a tiny kiddie pool, no less than a foot deep and a few feet wide.

"I don't think there is, Dallon." Ray said frowning.

"Oh hey, is that the bar they were talking about?" Brendon asked, pointing to a metal pull up bar attached to the wall next to the door.

Brendon loved bars. More specifically, alcohol. Well, not as much as milk but it was a close second. Ryan was always worried Brendon would get over the top drunk and embarrass himself and Ryan. There were already two times this year when he had to drag Brendon out of a bar by his ankles. It was mortifying. They had also gotten kicked out of bars numerous times over the years due to Brendon's poor conduct and lack of self control.

"And is that the spa?" Gerard asked, pointing to a tiny table with a bowl of water and a towel on it.

Everyone sighed simultaneously. Oh well... that's what you get when you buy a ten dollar cruise ticket. Though it lacked the features a usual cruise had, the main deck was very nice. Half a dozen reclining chairs sat facing the ocean in the warm sun. A big stereo was in the back ready for partying. A shuffleboard set was waiting to be played with. Plus the kiddie pool, the pull up bar, and the spa.

The group climbed in the kiddie pool. Surprisingly, all nine fit. Even if Pete and Patrick were there they probably still would have fit.

Eventually some people got out and moved around. Gerard went to the spa to wash his hair, Brendon went to the bar and pretended there was beer, and a bunch left for the game room downstairs. Joe didn't have his arm floaties so he had to leave the pool quickly. He started a game of shuffleboard with Dallon. The rest laid on the chairs, tanning by the crystal water.

Suddenly, there were lots of loud splashing sounds coming from the pool. Frank was the only one in the pool so everyone assumed he started a splashing war with himself. It took three minutes until people began to hear muffled screams coming from the pool. Gerard stood up fast, his nails still wet from the black nail polish he worked hard on at the wimpy spa. He ran over to Frank who struggled to keep his head above water.

Frank was drowning.

Gerard screamed for help and everyone rushed over, trying to save Frank from dying. Eventually, they pulled him out.

"I know CPR, I can save him!" Andy yelled, getting down on his knees.

Gerard screamed. "No! I want t- I mean, I know CPR too!"

He shoved Andy away and slammed his mouth on Frank's. He aggressively kissed him, moving his hands to the hem of Frank's shirt. He lifted it up and slid his hands underneath, feeling his chest.

"Wow, I've never seen this method of CPR before." Andy said. "I better take notes!"

He pulled out a notepad and pen and started quietly observing. "How fascinating! Instead of pushing on his chest, he went under the shirt and is moving his hands around. Oh! And his tongue appears to be in Frank's mouth! I wonder if that helps oxygen circulation..."

Seconds later, Frank came to, coughing up water.

"Oh my gosh! That was the fastest response I've ever seen!" Andy exclaimed, amazed at what he saw.

Gerard took Frank to rest on a reclining chair while he redid his now ruined nails. Oh well, it was worth it. The morning carried on and later, Tyler came down to check on everyone and let them know lunch would be soon.

"I also have a important announcement about our vending machine." Tyler started. "Please by all means do not eat the Greasy Tacos. We just saw a recall on the news and they have been making people very sick."

Everyone froze thinking of Pete.

"What? Why are you all looking at each other like that? Did someone eat one?" Tyler asked, confused.

"Uh... yes. Pete did. He's in our cabin with Patrick right now." Joe said.

"Was he okay?" Tyler asked.

Joe sighed. "I just said 'he's in his cabin with Patrick right now.' If he hadn't gotten sick from them he would be here, having the time of his life, probably drinking invisible beer with Brendon."

"Whaaaaaa?" Brendon asked, clearly drunk from the pretend beer.

"Oh no! I will go apologize to him. We'll give you as refund just please, please don't sue." Tyler said, heading out. He quickly came back in, remembering something. "Do you guys want music? It's quiet out here." he asked.

The passengers cheered. Tyler walked over to the music station and fiddled around with his iPod. The speakers began to play a familiar tune.

"I've been really tryin', baby"

"OH SHOOT! WRONG PLAYLIST!" Tyler shouted, angry at himself. He tried to pause the music but for some reason it wasn't working. Marvin Gaye's classic Let's Get It On played loudly throughout the main deck.

Josh walked in confused. "Tyler, are you playing our special playlist?"

Tyler made a slashing motion across his throat. "NO!" He lied, trying to cover up what Josh said. "I'm playing, uh, um, it just came on! And now it won't stop." He said, getting frantic.

Josh didn't get the memo. "I thought you said this playlist was reserved for our... alone time only."

"Quiet Josh! Everyone can hear you! Now help me stop this song, I can't pause it!"

The song changed to Bump n' Grind by R. Kelly. Tyler turned bright red. It changed again and the speakers played I Just Want Your Sex by George Michael. Tyler turned a shade redder. Then came Sexy M. F. by Prince and finally, the music stopped.

"Never mind what I said about music. Lunch will be served in half an hour." Tyler said quickly before hurrying out, mortified at what just happened.

After dinner, 10:30 P.M. on the main deck
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All was going smooth. Darkness fell and everyone was having a great time, dancing to music (that finally worked) and night swimming. Pete was feeling better and he and Patrick joined everyone else again. All eleven of the passengers were dancing to DARE by Gorillaz. They were loving their time on the S.S. Sinkington so far. Little did they know, their time on the boat was nearing an end.
Nobody noticed the singing.
At least, not at first.
Everyone just assumed it was part of the music.
"Guys, what's that noise?" Mikey asked, confused.
Brendon stopped twerking, "Yeah, I hear it too."
"What noise?"
"I don't hear anything."
"You don't? How?"
Joe started crying.
"I hear it too, it's really faint."
"What are you talking about?"
"Listen!"
"Are you deaf?"
"No, do you have super ears?"
"What's going on?"
It started to get loud and Josh turned off the music, trying to assess the situation. He wasn't used to this kind of stuff, Tyler usually handled big issues but Tyler was busy steering the boat.
"Uh, hey guys! Um, let's uh, calm it down a bit."
Someone threw an empty water bottle at him.
"Hey! Calm down everyone! What's the probl-" Josh stumbled and almost fell.
The boat jerked to the left, causing a bunch of people to fall. The singing got louder. The boat violently turned again, sending more people to the ground. The voice sounded angelic and absolutely beautiful.
"Who's singing? A girl or boy, I can't tell." Pete asked.
The boat veered again. A large rock came into view. It stuck out of the water. Five people stood on it. One was singing, the rest playing instruments.
The boat came closer to the rock. "Tyler! We're going to hit that rock! Watch out!" Josh yelled.
Tyler wasn't listening. His eyes were set straight ahead in front of him, glazed over. He was fascinated with the people. The singing became more clear.
"I lost my heart, my home is the ocean."
Tyler sailed the boat closer to the rock, completely hypnotised.
"Those are the Sirens!" Josh shouted. "They're just like the mythical creatures only they have instruments too. The lead Siren lures sailors into the rock by taking off his shirt and singing! We've never experienced this before! I thought it was all a story!"
Sure enough, the singer took off his shirt. He continued to sing. "All that I know is gone, take what is left of me now."
Josh ran to Tyler, trying to stop his from crashing into the rock.
"So fall asleep. Fall asleep and dream."
"It's too late now! Tyler is too far gone! Prepare to crash!"Josh yelled, terrified.
