"God fuckin dammit! Sollux! The cookies burned again-" the curly haired bronze blood yelled, slightly coughing from the smoke coming out of the oven, it of course, smelled like burnt ginger or what her matesprit would say "Giinger a22".

"Burned it again? Fuck- Megara, this is like the second time- are positive that you don't need any help?" Sol yelled as he kept his gaze on the game he was playing, he still listened to his matesprit as she grabbed the pan full of burnt or the rare slightly burnt ones that still had some flavor, and place it on the stove top. "I got this, Sol. Third times a charm" Megara said, as she put the burnt ones on a black plate, "Damn your pride" Sollux said, pausing his game, setting his controller down and slowly worked up the motivation to get up. Once he did, he walked into the kitchen, taking a cookie that was slightly burnt, put it in his mouth before trying to dissipate the smoke.

"K, so Meg, let's start out with the recipe, the fuck are you using?" Sollux asked, after he a piece of the gingerbread cookie and took the cookie out of his mouth. "The recipe in the book, I have everything but I may- MAY have overdosed on the quantities-" Megara said, looking at what she wrote down, Sollux softly chickled "Just read them off, I'll put them in"

"3/4 c. 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened, 3/4 c. packed brown sugar, 2/3 c. molasses, 1 large egg,1 tsp. pure vanilla extract." Megara read as Sollux quickly got the dry ingredients ingredients and mixed into the bowl, "3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp. ground ginger,1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg" Meg continue to read, hopping on the counter as Sol took a whisk and looked back at Megara.

"What is it Captor?" Megara asked, "come on, NutMeg, let's do this" Sollux said,  gesturing for her to help him mix the butter, brown sugar, and molasses. Megara slowly got off the counter, "NutMeg huh? You tryin to say something?" Meg teased, trying to grab the whisk but Sol kept his grip on the whisk, "And what if I am?" Sollux asked, finally letting Megara have the whisk, but gripped onto Megara's wrist and pulled her close, "As long as you're not calling me crazy I don't care" Megara said, with a slight flushed face, as Sollux harshly beat the butter, brown sugar, and molasses until it was  fluffy with her arm.

Sol got a medium sized bowl and put the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients slowly, and mixed them with Meg's wrist once again.

Once it started to look doughy, Sollux stopped and got parchment paper to wrap the cookie dough and put it in the fridge so it could chill.

After three hours, Sollux and Megara went back into the kitchen, grabbing the cookie dough out of the fridge, then a cutting board. Sol pushed down on cutting board on the dough to flatten it, "Meg, Preheat the oven- 350°" Sol said, as he tried to press harder. Once Megara preheated the oven she got her arrow and gingerbread men cookie cutters. Sollux just softly chuckled as he removed the plastic wrap.

Megara gave the gingerbread men cookie cutter to Sol, and kept the arrow, "Wanna see who's can get the most cookie shapes?" Megara said, challenging Sol.

"You bet your ass" Sol said, before they begun stamping out their shapes quickly. After a bit Sollux had a sneaky idea, "Hey Meg-"Sol said, quickly grabbing Meg's attention, in that small timeframe of her looking over, Sollux pressed his lips on Megara's, pressing a few more cookies before Megara pulled away

"Cheater" Megara snickered, softly punching him on the chest
