I'm rewatching mho because I need something to do over my birthday that actually brings me joy, and I notice something. In episode 7 (Shino's POV) he's talking with Database and Database says at 40:13: "Believe me, seeing your friends die is not fun." And I was watching Jacks POV of the finale (a long time ago-) and Shino said something similar. Not there yet, still just on ep 7 so when I get to the finale I'll update this. Super sad, intentional or not.
