I'm gonna put a Shino x Kol and  Shino x Artemis in the same part because why tf not.

Shino x Artemis

~Shino POV~

Valentine's Day is just around the corner!!!  What am I gonna do for Artemis!? I wanted this to be a nice day for him so badly. I make my way to a store. They have a ton of Valentine's Day things. I went through every aisle, looking at chocolate, teddy bears, roses, other cheesy things. Nothing feels right. I sigh and mess with the bow of teddy bear before getting an idea. I'll make something! I'm not good at making things though...Maybe he'll want something really personal? 

I get some flowers from the store, white and yellow roses, fake, but beautiful. I get a wooden heart from there too. I have paint, paint brushes. I rush to my dorm happily with my bag of items. I sit at my desk and get to work. 

I paint the heart a off-white color. I'm covering it anyways, but I just don't want the average wood color. I grab my stash of pictures and make copies of all my favorites. I've always been a somewhat sentimental person, so I print photos. I cut some of them to fit into the heart nicer.

One of the pictures is Artemis and I on our first dinner date. Another is us going on a picnic. I have a picture of me hugging him tightly, kissing his cheek. One of us wearing a bunch of stuff of our pride flags. In the center I put our first picture together. I added painted hearts and heart stickers to the edges of pictures so it wouldn't look super choppy. To finish I added the white and yellow roses on the edge of the heart, alternating the colors. Now I have a bunch of fake rose stems. Fun. I place the heart in a pink paper bag. An average bag for an anything but average gift. I'm more excited about this gift than I ever thought I would be. I also put a cute box of chocolates in the bag, just for us to share.

Waking up on Valentine's Day felt like waking up on your birthday. That is if I actually cared for my birthday, but for regular people it felt like waking up on your birthday. I got ready for the day all giddy, excited to see Artemis' reaction. I grab the bag and rush up to his room. Artemis seems to have just barely woken up. He's doing something on his phone. 

"Artemis! Happy Valentine's Day!" I smile and sit on his bed.

Artemis smiles back and hugs me.

"Happy Valentine's Day Shino!" I hold his cheek and gently kiss him before handing him the bag.

"Oh! We're doing gifts now- let me get yours!" Artemis gets up and searches through his closet. I never really noticed just how many clothes he owns. 

"Hey...What did I tell you about spending money on me..." I mumbled. I can feel myself blushing. Artemis is thoughtful.

"Oh shut the hell up." I take a moment to absorb the fact that Artemis just swore. "It's Valentine's Day. This is a day to show just how much you love your significant other. Not that you shouldn't do that everyday, it's just nice to have an excuse I suppose." Artemis shrugs and hands me a medium sized box. 

We look at our gifts simultaneously, gasping at the contents. Inside the red box Artemis gave me, there was a set of item's displayed. There was a teddy bear, panda bear to be specific. It was holding lollipops, cake pops, and chocolate on a stick I believe?, all heart shaped. In the other paw, there was a card. All surrounded in pink confetti. I picked up the card and read it to myself.

Dear Shino,

You will never know just how incredibly grateful I am to have you in my life. You are a ray of sunshine that comes to clear the clouds when I'm feel down. You've done so much for me, this is not even close to being enough to repay you for all your love, affection, and kindness. You make me love myself more than I ever have before. You taught me what true love is. I know it's sappy, but you are truly the love of my life. It's my mission to show you just as much appreciation and  fondness as you show me. I love you, Shino Basca.

Wow. I feel tears in my eyes after reading his note. And it takes a lot to make me cry. I hold my sleeve to my eye to stop the tears from falling.

"Artemis...I..."

I don't even notice Artemis' reaction to my gift. He's been holding the heart, staring at it just as long as I've been staring at the note. He also has tears in his eyes. 

"Shino, this is beautiful. I...I love you!" Artemis hugs me quickly, I return it.

We stay in the hug for a while, embracing each other tightly. When we finally let go, Artemis kisses me again. 

"Artemis, I love you too. I hope I can continue to make you proud...I think it's the only thing I'll ever want to do." I say after we break away from the kiss. 

We end up eating all the sweets and making brownies to give to our friends as appreciation gifts.

Artemis said I'm his true love...I feel the exact same!

Shino x Kol

A little bit of content: They had a break the week of Valentine's Day, so Shino was staying with Database and his family. Oh yeah, and he's alive because I like to believe that they never killed him off and things stay wholesome. 

~Kol POV~

Valentine's Day. I used to spend this day with my mom. We would do cute things like eat candy and watch movies. I guess it's different now that I'm with Shino. That still feels weird to say. We were such close friends, I almost didn't realize I had feeling for him. I guess it's still new, we decided to make it official just a month ago.

What do people even do on Valentine's Day? Don't they give gifts and stuff? I don't think Shino was ever one for gifts though. Date it is then. I'll make some plans. Fancy stuff seems to be the Valentine's Day vibe. I'll get a suit. I give Shino a call.

"Hey love~"

"I told you not the call me that. What do you want?" 

"Just playing, will you be my Valentine?" I ask nonchalantly, yet deep inside I had worry about  his response. 

"Sure. I mean it's a bit concerning if I wasn't."  Shino had a hint of some kind of relief in his tone. 

"Yeah yeah...I'm taking you to dinner. Where am I picking you up?" I smile to myself, I can tell Shino feels my cockiness through the phone from the way he scoffed. 

"Hell"  Shino's says before I hear the beeps.

I end up asking around, turns out Shino's staying with Database. Not something I expected. I shoot him a text the day before telling him to dress up nice for me. He leaves me on read. 

I get a pale pink suit, almost white. Pair it with some black shoes and gloves, great. I check in with Flex for some advice.

"Bow tie or tie?" I say holding them both up so he can judge. 

Flex has me switch them out a few times before deciding on the tie, also black. 

"Lookin' snazzy there Kol- I think Shino will be pleasantly surprised." Flex says mimicking Shino's accent at the last part. I roll my eyes at the bad impersonation and wave goodbye, heading off to Databases place. 

I ring the bell, somewhat nervous to see if Shino actually dressed up. Turns out I'll stay waiting because it turns out Shino isn't the one to answer. Database seems happy until he sees it's me. 

"Kol? What are you doing on my property at this time." He eyes me before continuing. "You clean up nicely." 

"Hello Mr. Database, I'm here for Shino. I'm taking him on a Valentine's Day date." I say proudly. 

Database eyes me again. He gives me a stare that sends a small shiver down my spine. 

"I suppose this is fine. Have him home by 10. Play nice. And TRUST when I say that if I hear that you wronged him in ANY way, you'll have me to deal with." Database's threat echos in my head. "Hm...I'll tell him you're here, wait outside." With that, the man leaves. 

After a few minutes, Shino steps out. He's wearing a pale yellow suit. We unintentionally matched I suppose. He wears black sneakers, a bow tie and a red-ish blush on his face. I grin.

"You actually got dressed up for me!" I say taking his hand. 

"Oh please...I'm only going because your feeding me." Shino rolls his eyes before smiling, basically saying that he's only kidding. 

Database comes back to the door, a small smile on his lips. He pulls out his phone and points it at us. I smile at Shino and pull him into me before he can register the situation. Database takes the picture and nods.

"Have fun Shino. I may not like the boy, but your the happiest I've seen you in a while." With that, Database closes the door, leaving me and Shino alone. 

Shino blushes harder, now being exposed by his father figure.

"You loooove me~" I tease inching closer to him. 

"Maybe just a little...C'mon idiot, don't we have places to be?" Shino looks away from me but takes my hand again. 

We walk to the restaurant since it's not too far and Shino lives for a good walk. Shino ends up giving me a beanie that matches his but it mirrors my hair color.

"So, rate your Valentine's Day from 1-10." I say while walking Shino back to Databases house.

"I'd say...negative 12." Shino joked. He meant 12.

We reach the doorstep. I take a moment to just look at Shino before I say goodbye. He's so beautiful. 

"I love you Shino." 

Oops. Accidentally just L-bombed him... I've never actually said it before. Oh no...did I just ruin every-

"I love you too!" Shino says quickly, no hesitation.

I smile again, stepping closer and closer until our lips meet. We both smile into the kiss.

Pretty sweet first kiss if I say so myself.
