"Alright, I'll be there," you say and hang up your call with Ino. She had just invited you to a party at her place later which everyone, even the sand siblings are going to be at. Your mind immediately goes to Kiba and Shino. They're both pretty irresistible and they'll be there too. You walk into your kitchen and get a rice ball. You quickly devour it and start getting ready for the party. You go into the bathroom and do your hair and makeup. You don't want to be late, that's Kakashi's job.

You weave in and out of the streets of Konoha as fast as you can. In a matter of minutes you arrive at Ino's house. You knock on the door and Ino opens it. "Hey, y/n. Welcome."

"Hi."

You walk in and see that Shino, TenTen and Neji are already there. You walk up to Neji and TenTen first and say, "Hello, Neji, TenTen."

Neji says, "Hello, y/n."

TenTen says, "Hi!"

You walk over to Shino, blushing slightly. You say, "H-hi, Shino."

He says, "Hello," in his usual deep, monotone voice.

You say, "How are you?"

He says, "I'm fine, and you?"

"Likewise."

You walk over to the door as Sakura and Naruto come bursting in, fighting with each other.

Sakura yells, "You idiot, Naruto!"

She bonks him on the head and he winces.

You walk up to them and say, "Hey!"

Sakura calms down and says, "Hi, y/n."

Naruto says, "Hey, y/n!"

You say, "How are you?"

"I'm good! Believe it!"

You laugh and walk off to sit on the couch. Kiba and Akamaru come in and you run up to them and start petting Akamaru. "Hey, Kiba!"

He says, "Hey, y/n. How's the party?"

You say, "It's good so far."

He says, "I'm glad you're here. You surely do make my time here better."

You blush slightly and say, "I'm glad you're here too. This is gonna be super fun!"

He says, "It sure is." Akamaru barks in approval. He nudges Kiba towards you and you blush and giggle. He says, "Akamaru, quit it."

You playfully swat Kiba away and laugh. He laughs along with you. He says, "You're super fun, y/n."

You say, "So are you, Kiba. You're the best." You see Shino in the corner as usual but he kind of looks mad. I wonder what's gotten into him.

You continue to talk to Kiba and people continue to walk in until Ino says, "Ok guys, we're playing truth or dare."

You sit in a circle and Shino rushes to sit next to you. You also sit next to Kiba. Ino says, "Sasuke truth or dare?"

He says, "Dare."

Ino says, "I dare you to kiss me."

Sasuke says, "Tsk, no way."

She huffs and Sasuke says, "Naruto."

Naruto says, "Dare."

Sasuke says, "I dare you to say that you'll never be the Hokage."

Naruto says, "No I'm not doing that. I'm gonna be the hokage! Believe it!"

Sasuke says, "Whatever."

Naruto says, "Kiba, truth or dare?"

Kiba says, "Truth."

Naruto says, "Out of everyone in this room, who do think would become hokage?"

Kiba mocks Naruto and says, "Me! Believe it!" Naruto reaches over to smack Kiba but Akamaru bites Naruto's arm.

"Ow! Kiba get him off!" Kiba laughs and Akamaru gets off Naruto.

Kiba says, "Shino, truth or dare?"

Shino says, "Truth."

Kiba says, "If you had to date one girl in this room, who'd it be?"

Shino says, "Y/n," emotionlessly. You smirk and blush.

Shino says, "Y/n."

"Truth."

"Out of everyone in this room, who'd you like to kiss."

You quietly say, "You or Kiba."

They both look at you and you blush furiously. Kiba smirks and you swear you could see Shino smirking too.

"TenTen, truth or dare?"

You say, "Thanks for inviting me, Ino."

She nods and you start out the door. Kiba yells to you, "Y/n, wait!"

You feel your stomach flutter and turn around to face the boy and his dog. He says, "Would you like to fulfill your truth?"

You blush a bit at his suggestion. You say, "Kiba, are you drunk?" He shakes his head and you sigh. He leans in to kiss you and you peck him on the lips. You step away and say, "Bye, Kiba."

He nods and you run off to your house.

~~Shino POV~~

As I am about to leave, I see y/n kissing Kiba and immediately feel my heart snap and I get a feeling of anger towards Kiba. Is this jealousy?

I decide to go back to my house to ask my father about it. Why? Because he'd probably know something. (It's canon that Shino does the rhetorical question thing in his inner monologue and it's so cute!)

I walk home as I usually do. Why? Because I don't want to give away my emotions. I arrive at the Aburame compound quickly and step in the door.

I yell, "Dad?"

Shibi says, "I'm in here son."

I walk in the direction the voice was coming from and arrive in the kitchen.

I say, slightly awkwardly, "I have something to ask you about." He nods and I continue, "There's this girl..." I pause for a moment, allowing my father to nod. I say, "You know, the one from the l/n (or any clan you wish) clan." He nods again and I say, "I really like her, in that way. She's the first person I've felt these feelings towards and I can't express it to her. Why? Because I don't know if she likes me too... You know how it is, being an Aburame and trying to get girls. Why? Because not many girls like bugs."

My dad says, "Did something happen at the party or are you just telling me this now?"

I continue and say, "Well, she was asked if she could kiss anyone who'd it be. She answered with me and Kiba. I also saw Kiba flirting with her and they kissed at the end of the party. I don't know why but I feel mad at Kiba and protective over y/n."

He says, "Ah, you're experiencing jealously, son. I say that you should go for it and take what's yours. Go to her house now and tell her how you feel. It seems as though she returns your feelings, so what's the worst that could happen?"

I nod and start out the door. My father says, "Stay out as long as you wish."

I nod and start walking to y/n's house.

You blush a bit thinking about the options of what he could say. You beckon for him to follow you and he does. You walk up to your room.

Once you get there you say, "So what is this that you wanted to tell me?"

He says, "At the party, I saw you kissing Kiba and I don't know why but I got jealous. I saw you two kissing and I just wish I was kissing you. I-I love you, y/n."

You slightly ponder what he said. He's jealous?! How?
"I-I love you too. I just don't see how you could love a girl like me."

He says, "I believe I'm more obligated to say that because of my bugs."

You say, "No, Shino I love them."
