"Look Poppypool! I'm just like you!" Frozenkit squeaked as she slashed like Poppypool showed her.

"You're doing very good Frozenkit" Poppypool called, Shinningmoon walked up to the elder and sat down beside her, "thank you Poppypool, you've given them so much joy like no one ever has" Shinningmoon said, Poppypool smiled "I should be the one thanking you" Poppypool said "these kits have made me so very very happy" Poppypool said, "you're a great cat Poppypool" Shinningmoon said, Poppypool smiled "I adore them and they adore me but my time is almost up Shinningmoon. Promise that when I'm gone that you'll try to make them happy" Poppypool asked the Queen, "I'll try" Shinningmoon smiled, Poppypool smiled even bigger "*cough* *cough* thank you" she said, "I'll miss them when I'm gone...I hope one becomes leader so I can grant them a life" Poppypool said, "I hope that too" Shinningmoon said in a low voice "they...they are both happy...and that's all I want to see" Shinningmoon said, Poppypool turned to the Queen, "do not worry Shinningmoon. I'll watch over them when I'm gone and I'll watch them being happy and growing up" Poppypool said, "I know" Shinningmoon said.

"Mama? Poppypool? Is everything okay?" Frozenkit asked, both cats nodded in response and told the kits to go play to playing. "I...I'll keep them happy" Shinningmoon whispered, Shinningmoon didn't know what it was but this elder had an effect on all cats to make them happy when sad and if she ever left every cat would be sad. Shinningmoon didn't know the elder well but cherished her as if it were her mother Mossfire.

"Mossfire! Hazelwhisker!" Shinningmoon called to her mother and father, Poppypool and Shinningmoon had talked a lot and that made Shinningmoon realize how distant she was from her parents, both cats rushed to her quickly, "what? Is everything okay?" Mossfire asked, "no...I...I just keep forgetting to tell you two I love you" Shinningmoon said nuzzling into her mother's long and fluffy chest fur, Mossfire placed her head on her daughter's head, "I love you too" Mossfire said, "me too" Hazelwhisker said, "I'll talk with you later, I have to go find another cat" Shinningmoon said, "good bye Dearest" Mossfire said to her daughter.

"Foxwater" Shinningmoon called to her mate, he padded over with a smile in his face "yes Shinningmoon? Is everything alright?" He asked, "I love you Foxwater even if you are mouse-brained sometimes" Shinningmoon said, "I love you too Shinningmoon, is everything okay though?" Foxwater asked, "I just always forget to tell you I love you" Shinningmoon said.

All the kits were playing and talking to Poppypool, she had never been more happy. Fallenkit, Cloudkit, Springkit, Frozenkit, Cedarkit, Cherrykit, Thunderkit, Skullkit, Bonekit and even Blackkit were all gathered around Poppypool listening to stories of Poppypool's life. They all adored her and loved her.

"Mama, Poppypool is okay...right?" Frozenkit asked her mother as the young kit dozed off, "I believe so kit" Shinningmoon said closing her eyes, "I love you kits" Shinningmoon said as she fell asleep.

The next day

Shinningmoon woke up to the sound of crying and ran to the elders den to find Windflare, Echosong and Firewater gathered around...Poppypool. The elders' breath was shallow and slow but not right, "Poppypool please" Frozenkit cried nuzzling the elder, "it's my time kits...I can't live...forever" Poppypool wheezed, "oh FireClan why Poppypool?" Shinningmoon asked herself getting tears in her eyes, "you don't know how good....you have it...till it's...gone" Shinningmoon whispered to herself once again

"Shinningmoon?" Foxwater asked as he walked into the elders' den, "F-Foxwater" Shinningmoon felt hot tears streaming from her eyes as her beloved mate sat beside her, "everything will be okay" he said, "Frozenkit and Bonekit looked up to her even if they only knew her for two days they loved her and cared for her" Shinningmoon said, Foxwater nodded "mama! Please! Bring back Poppypool! Please" Frozenkit asked, her face was wet with tears along with Bonekit who's face was also wet from crying, "I...I can't Frozenkit...I'm...I'm sorry" Shinningmoon said through tears, "Shinningmoon..." the dying elder said, "I'm here Poppypool" Shinningmoon said a bit half hearted, she didn't want to be here...didn't want to watch her kit's beloved friend die, "please...be...happy" Poppypool's breathing quickened then it was gone, Frozenkit and Bonekit continued to cry but started saying "no! Hey her back! Bring her back!" Or "please don't go!" It was heart breaking to watch even the medicine cats and Foxwater were crying.

Shinningmoon could hold back the tears anymore, it hurt to much. Shinningmoon let her tears pour out of her bright blue eyes and onto the dirt ground, "p-please Poppypool, c-come b-b-back" Frozenkit cried, "we're all sorry kits but she's gone to FireClan" Windflare said through a bit of tears.

When Patchstar had announced the death all the kits started crying as well as a wave of sadness for the whole Clan, "Frozenkit, Bonekit please calm down you'll make yourselves sick" Fernclaw said with tears in her eyes, "w-we *sniffle* want P-Poppypool b-back" Cloudkit cried, "p-please calm down" Fernclaw stuttered

Soon Shinningmoon walked over calmly and said "dearest kits, we can not bring Poppypool back but we wish we could. We understand that you are upset but we can not change what FireClan has decided, Poppypool will be dearly missed but we have her happiness and that is all that matters so please calm down. Poppypool would not want this, she would want you to be happy that she lived such a wonderful life and that you gave that sad and lonely elder a new side that was brighter and happier. She will watch over you". The kits stopped crying and became a bit happy but not that much, "she will be missed but her memory will live on in you" Shinningmoon added.
