Haneul's POV

It has been five days since Kai has been in this school. And I got embarrassed for straight 5 days. I'll be all excited and speak to him but he never looks at my direction. And the best of all, he'll wear his ear plugs if he hears me talking!

"The weather is gloomy right? Ugh! I hate this! Do you like this kind of weather?" I asked Kai while taking out my books.

"......"

"I had two pizzas yesterday and I feel like throwing up now" I said and imitated like I'm gonna puke on him.

"......"

"My heart is aching!!!! Omg! I think....it's a-a heart attack! Call the ambulance soon! Kai... Please....I'm dying" I said with my one hand on my chest, fallen on the ground.

"...."

No reply. So this was a short summary of "My 5 days with Kai". I depicted the best and best of all my acting skills for these past 5 days but he never bothered to even check out. -_-

He is really very lonely. He never talks to anyone and i know that the feeling of loneliness hurts so much. I have experienced many times before Taemin entered my life. I know that Kai won't reply me even if I talk to him but I'm just trying my best to at least be friends with him.

For the past 5 days, Kai and I are taking the same way to our house and that doesn't mean that we are walking together but it's more like I'm always behind him.. like following him. My curious eyes, trying it's level best in finding some clues about him. But I'm sure about one thing..He lives in the same area as me. I wave at him when I reach my apartment but he never waves back.

I was doing my Maths assignment while Kai was as usual acting cool with his *ear plugs on and mind is gone* mode. He was tapping his foot with his eyes closed and head slightly bent back. And by his taps I know that the song is a lively one.

His place was all messed up. Paper chits were thrown around along with chocolate wrappers, books scattered around, doodles on the bench....

I was wondering if I'm the only one who's "messy" like this but hopefully not. He is 100 times worser than me.

"How many should I tell you not to throw things around!" I said and got up, picking up those trash. I arranged his books in a corner and dusted his desk. All this time I never noticed Kai looking at me.

When I looked up, Kai and I made an eye contact.

"Don't repeat it again.. Be clean" I said working, with my eyes not on him any more.

I picked up the pile of trash and that's when I noticed Kai's eyes were still on me.......

"What?" I asked and he shook his head slightly....WITH A LITTLE SMILE and returned to his old position!

HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS! DID HE JUST SMILE! AT ME?!?!It's the first time he's smiling at me! I stood there still..

"Did you just smile at me?" I asked him.

"No"

"Come on.... I saw you smiling!"

"...."

Our first proper conversation after the first day introduction! Even though it's a simple reply "no", I'm still glad. So, he can converse with people if we do some chores for him and the bonus is a smile.

"And so... The meeting went on well but I'm not sure if the resolution will pass on or not.." Taemin was saying on the other line. I was walking in the ground during the break time sipping a can of juice.

"Don't worry... it'll definitely pass on.." I said.

"Who's your new partner by the way?" He asked.

"A guy named Kai.." I said.

"Don't you dare be close to him! The consequences will be severe.." he mimicked a sly smile. And I know the consequences are perverted.

"He rarely even talks to me..."I said.

"That's good then..."

"Good? Come on! You're so possessive about me!"

"Yes...I'm...I should be possessive so my jagi won't leave me and go..."

I stopped arguing for a minute.

"Taemin.. I will never leave you....even if you are not possessive.." I said in a low tone. He became quite for a minute and so am I.

" I love you Haneul.."

"I love you too.." I smiled.

"So this is our first "I love you" without a kiss..." he said.

"Hmm...Yes"

"I'm already going crazy...I so badly want to kiss you now~" he whined. My face gradually heated up.

"Shut up now and go and do your works!" I commanded hiding my blush filled face.

"Aye Aye Captain!" He replied.

We hung up and I walked back to the class. I felt like I was charged. I entered the class and it was empty! No sign of any students! Shoot!!!!!! I have to go for language classes! I rushed to my place and gathered my books and when I was about to turn back I bumped onto someone. And that someone turned out to be Kai.

"Sorry!....Are you not late to class?" I questioned him, rubbing my forehead.

"I'm not going" he said. O.M.G. Did he just reply me?!!

"We have a class..."

".....I'm not interested" he replied and walked past me to sit in the desk which was right behind me.

"Don't bunk classes!"

"..."

It's seriously no use talking to him. I can either talk to a wall or a dog rather than talking to him. I spun on my heels and started to walk to the class.

"Maybe you could stay here too" I heard his voice a little raised so that I could hear him. I lifted my eyebrow up and turned back. He was looking straight at the black board.Is he asking the board or me?

He had zero expression on his face. Did I imagine?! Yes. Kai asking me to stay? Tsk.. not even in dreams... Consult a doctor, Haneul

I turned around and continued to walk again. The hallway was really quite indicating that all are in their respective classes except for me. Just when I was searching for my language classes, I heard sound of foot steps. By its sound, I could assume that it's getting nearer and nearer. I looked back and once again i bumped on him. Kai. Just now he told that he's not interested in attending the class!

"Sorry!" I said again.

"Sorry means you should never repeat the act again..." he justified and adjusted his collar and tie.

"Really? I didn't know it!" I said to him after knowing the deep meaning of Sorry.

"You know what?" He asked.

"What?"

"You're the most dumbest person I've ever seen in my life and you're really annoying" he said and walked ahead.

"What?! Dumb? Me?!" I said. Whatever! He's the dumbest person ever! Cold and mean!

The classes got over and it was time for me to walk back home. And the same thing is happening. Kai was walking ahead of me and the strange thing is that a small puppy dog was following him. He saw the pup but ignored it.

"Bye!" I shouted and he never replied but instead lifted his hands up and slightly waved without turning back. Wow. That was totally a good improvement!

The classes went on regularly and I think Kai is starting to reply to my questions but not all. He is not clean! He randomly throws things all over the place, bunks classes, always looks out of the Window, doesn't talk to anyone and his place is a total mess!

I nag him to clean his stuff and when doesn't reply, I, myself will clean his place. I don't know why, but lately, I'm being sensitive to dirty places. Even I keep my home clean!

After the school was over, I didn't feel like going to home. I took out my phone to dial Taemin's number and when I was about to press the "Call" button, he called me.

"Just now I was ablut to dial your number!" I shouted smiling.

"That's what you call as destiny" he said. -_-

"Key and Amber are going on a date today" I said.

"We never had a date.." he complained.

"Stupid! We went on dates!"

"Oh really?! When?" He asked.

" One was your "weird birthday wish" of holding my hand,the other was the prom, the other was the..." I halted in the mid way. It was the locker room. Though it wasn't a date, we spent time together alone. And I feel embarrassed to tell it to him.

"Tell me.... The other was?" He asked and I could hear him smirking.

"Shut up" I replied.

"I won't. Now tell me! Which day? Where? What did we do? What did we speak about?" He asked non stop. I have answers to all his questions and he knows it too.

He simply wants those words That day in the locker room where you did many things that you weren't supposed to do and touched me in some places that you're not allowed to touch, explained to me about the "Rape after marriage" to come out of my mouth. He always does this! He wants to see me embarrassed or blushing.

"I said Shut up!" I shouted and I unfortunately reminisced that day in the locker room. His sloppy kisses on my neck, my first moan...His dark eyes... My face started to heat up at the thought of it...

"Why??? Tell me!" He nudged.

"Won't you stop asking me questions?!" I shouted.

"No.... I won't! Questioning you about those is totally fun!" He smiled.

"I won't answer!"

"Why?"

"Because the question is really embarrassing!" I admitted.

"Let me ask some other question...Hmm...What is the color of your lingerie today?"

O.O WHAT THE HECK DID HE ASK?!?!?! What?!?! My face became bright red.

"PERVERTED CREATURE! HOW DARE YOU ASK ME SUCH PERVERTED QUESTIONS?!" I screamed through the phone.

"I will ask such questions. Haven't I told you this before? No matter where I'm staying, I don't want to lose my reputation as a perverted creature" he smirked.

"Purely perverted!" I shouted and hit the end button.

I walked to the general Store to get some vegetables and also to distract myself from the battle in my brain. Oh God! Why is he asking me such weird questions?!! I'm getting goosebumps all over my body. He has become even more perverted in New York.

When I walked out of the store, I was welcomed by the silhouette of a very familiar looking person. He was waiting to cross the road and was looking left and right to cross the road . And when he turned leftward once, I saw his face. Kai. He was wearing a hoodie to cover his head.

It's not his way to his home. Then where is he going? Moreover, he has not changed his school uniform.

I silently followed him. He had his hands in his pockets and walked fast. He was walking so fast that i jog to have a look at him. He boarded a subway and so did i. And i bet he didn't know that I'm following him. We got down and he started to walk again.

He walked in the alley which was so dark. But he had no plans to stop. He continued walking and I with all my strength tried my best to follow him to the last. I know it's none of my business but I want to break that "mysterious" aura around him. Maybe if I come to know about him, I can at least help him to mingle with others.

The dark alley suddenly became bright.Loud Rock music sound echoed from the source of the light. I squinted my eyes to adjust it to the glowing bright lights. Now this place is really very weird.

It is not a club or whatever. It's that kind of place where if you go in once, you definitely won't be leaving a good impression on yourself after you come out. The smell of cigars and alcohol made me nauseous. The place looked bright red and in the entrance I can see weird people with weird hairstyles and customer staring at me.

"Spade! I win!" One of the gamblers shouted and the girl sitting on another man's lap gave him a congratulatory kiss. As I was busy noticing everyone, I lost sight of Kai!

I wandered in the place with my grocery bag on one hand and my phone on the other. The strange aura in the place made me really uncomfortable. People were dancing in the dance floor and the badly drunk ones were trying to make out.Why is Kai even there in this kind of place?!

"Do you want me to carry that grocery bag for you?" A guy in his late twenties asked.

"N-No..T-Thanks for asking..." I replied and continued to walk.

I almost screamed when the same guy pulled my hand.

"Do you wanna dance with me?" He asked me and I quickly shrugged my hands. I didn't reply and instead continued walking. From the corner of my eyes, I could sense him following me. My heart beat raised.

"Look who we got here! A girl with a grocery bag!" A bunch of voices was heard and it's obvious that they are pointing me.

I pushed one of the guys down with force because I didn't like it when he kept on getting closer to me. But he was too strong. I screamed but the noise was not audible due to the loud R&B songs.Images of Taemin flashed in my head. I want his protective hands on me, his warm and protective hug at this moment..

Within no moment, I found teardrops rolling down my cheek as he placed his hands on my waist and that's when I lost it. I cried out loud.

"TAEMIN!" I screamed at the top of my voice and they were taken a back by my scream.

"Just take it easy babe!" He commented. Tears were flowing continuously from my eyes and I was keeping my head down the entire time.

Suddenly someone grabbed my wrist and pushed all the 4 guys down at the same time. I didn't dare to look up but instead I started screaming again.

"TAEMIN!" I shouted again. But the guy pulled me and started to run. I tried my best to free my hand from his grip with my head down, but he kept on running. I know he saved me from those guys but he is also a person from that place and I can't trust any guys other than Taemin.

I think I was out from that hell cause the fresh air outside hit my face. I struggled to free my hand but his grip tightened and we were running so fast.

"LEAVE ME!!!"I shouted and halted in the middle of the road and when he tried to pull me again, I pushed him down. But unfortunately, he had a firm grip on my hand and so we fell down together.

It was a broad down slope so we stumbled and rolled down the slope and I could feel a stinging pain in my back. It badly hurt and my hands were bruised. The guy fell two steps away from me and I took that as an opportunity to hit him on his head. I was about to hit him but when I saw his face, my eyebrows furrowed and I stopped.

"KAI?!" I shouted. He glared at me and started to dust his pants while sitting. I sighed in relief. With great trouble I managed to sit and dusted my skirt. My back ached so badly.

"What were you doing there, in that kind of place?!" I shouted.

"Shouldn't I be the one who's asking you that question?" He asked in a casual tone with his eyes scanning his pants checking for any more dust.

"What are those people really?" I asked him while extending my legs.

"I don't know...." he said and sat again on the slope beside me.

"Do you go to those kind of places often?" I asked him curiously.

"Yes..."

"Do you do something bad? Like smoking?" I enquired him like a reporter.

"The reason why I go there is totally different from what you think..." he said.

"I just.....talk with them.." he continued.

"If you want to talk or have a conversation... then open up to your classmates. Befriend them.. don't be alone like this" I said. I laid down with my back pressed against the soft grass and my back felt good now. It was really soothing to the pain caused by some big fat rocks.

The stars were so bright and I wondered what will Taemin be doing now...

"Are you not scared that you're lying down like that in front of a guy?" He asked and I never bothered to look at him.

"I could do anything to you now.."

"Tsk... you? I don't think you are that kind of a person..Moreover you have no inte-" I was cut off when he gripped my hands.

Within no time, he got on top of me with his kneecaps on the ground and pinned both my hands above my head. My heart skipped a beat and my eyes were wide opened.

"You really take guys that easily....don't you?" He asked with his eye looking straight into my eyes. And I couldn't move. I was shocked beyond words by his sudden action.

"You're physically much weaker than me and that means I can do anything to you..." he said and flicked his bangs sideways with a shake.

I couldn't shout nor push him. Instead,I kept on watching him. Taemin always does that. He shakes his head to flip his bangs sideways.

"Even if a guy is not interested in a girl, he can still assault her..." he said and leaned to closer.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I managed to shout. I'm starting to panic. I'm scared if him now. I'm scared of Kai.

He leaned further and his bangs touched my forehead and I could feel his breath against my lips. I tried to knock him but he already pinned my hands above my head. I turned sideways to avoid him but he pulled me back to my old position.Our foreheads touched and his lips were so close to mine. I shut my eyes feeling scared.

Suddenly he released my hands and I did not open my eyes. When I finally convinced myself to open my eyes, I saw him was sitting few steps away from me.

"That was really scary, right?" He asked. I didn't reply anything as I was not yet out of the thing that has happened to me now. He half laid down with his arms for support and examined the stars.

"The reason why nothing happened to you now is because the other person happened to be me...If you don't want to experience that kind of thing for real, then don't go to places like that.." he said with his eyes fixed on the stars.

Did he just do that to make me understand about that place?

I made a lot of editing! Plus, I changed my story cover and the prologue. So...how was this chapter? Comment your views. I don't think I'll be able to update quickly coz my school reopened -_- BUT STILL I'll try my best. So what do you think of Kai's character?
