"'Cause I'm not going to leave you behind"

Brent's POV

I couldn't wait to see my friends again. We took some time off after tour to be with our families, but tomorrow I would fly back to the studio so we could get back to work. Don't get me wrong, I loved this time with family and I enjoy every minute with them, but it was time to get back working with my second family.

I spent most of day with my son. I wanted to take him to the studio with me, but he had to stay with his mom and work on school.
"Promise we'll talk everyday while your gone?" He asked me. I smiled and put an arm on his shoulder
"I promise" We talked the rest of the night until it was time for him to go to bed. Once he did, I started packing my things for tomorrow morning.

The morning went by smoothly as I said goodbye to everyone before heading to the airport. Saying goodbye to my boy was the hardest, but I knew we'd talk soon. It felt very bittersweet.
"It's never goodbye..." I told him.
"It's just till next time" he finished. I smiled and hugged him before getting in my car and heading out.

The flight would be quick as I wasn't traveling too far. I used the time flying to brainstorm some lyrics. Songs are rarely written on day one, but it's good to be prepared. I just couldn't wait to see everyone again. It felt great getting to work with the people I love.

As soon as we landed, I rushed out as quick as I could and got a taxi to the studio. I knew the others would already be there and I wanted to see them. It's been almost two months since tour ended and we had some catching up to do. I paid the driver after we pulled up to the studio and thanked him before grabbing my bag. This was it.

I took a deep breath before walking inside. Barry, Eric, and Zach were sitting together talking. I smiled as I approached them.
"What's up boys?" I said warmly. They all turned to face me, and it was clear we were all happy to be together again. We all embraced each other in a hug and it felt so nice. I was with my brothers again.
