I Dare You
"I dare you to tell me, I dare you to"
*Zach's POV*
It was a pretty boring day on the tour bus as we traveled to our next city. I couldn't wait to get there and get out of this bus. As nice as our tour buses were, it always felt great getting out in the fresh open air until it was time to head to the venue or hotel. I was currently laying in my bunk, texting Bethany. We were planning a time to face time later tonight so I could see her and the boys.
"Zach, come here!" Brent called out. I got out of the bunk, tucking my phone into my pocket before joining him and the others in the front of the bus
"What?" I asked, taking a seat next to Brent. Eric and Barry sat across from us.
"We were all getting bored, so we want to play a game" Eric explained.
"What game?" I asked, Brent chuckling as I sat up straight, curious of what they'd say
"Truth or dare" Barry answered. "You in?"
"Hell yeah"
Brent decided to start us off
"Barry, truth or dare?"
"Truth, I don't want to start off with one of your dares" Barry crossed his arms and Eric and I laughed. He had a point.
"Aw don't be a baby. Okay, my question is..." Brent took a second to think "If you could kiss anyone here, who would it be?"
I looked over at Barry, who was blushing.
"That's a dumb question, none of you" We could tell he was hiding something, but Brent knew not to push him.
"Aright then. Barry, ask away" Brent gestured towards Kerch, who looked at Eric, then me, to decide who to ask next.
"Alright Zach, truth or dare?" He asked with a smirk.
"Dare. I ain't scared"
"Okay then. I dare you to do some push ups until the next question is answered" Not very exciting but I accepted. I stood up only to lay down on the floor in front of everyone. I got in position and started.
"Okay, since Zach is a little busy, Eric should ask the next question" Brent suggested.
Eric must have took some time to think as it felt like there was a long silence. Either that or time felt longer as I continued the push ups
"Can we... get this... over with?" I asked between breaths.
"Sorry. Okay Brent, truth or dare?" Eric finally asked.
"Dare" Brent said with confidence.
I dare you to serenade someone in this room" I expected Brent to back down, but after a pause I heard him start singing. I look up from the floor to see him kneeling in front of Barry, singing our song "Miracle"
"Can I stop now?" I asked, focusing on the push ups again
"Not until Brent is done singing" Eric said. I sighed and picked up the pace, trying to focus on myself and not the singing.
"Alright Zach, you can get up" Eric said. I stood up to see Barry and Brent face to face, both blushing.
"You two good?" I asked as I took my seat. Brent cleared his throat as they both looked away, sitting down next to me again.
"Yeah man. I think you should ask a question next" Barry said.
"Um, okay. Eric, truth or dare?"
"Ooh! Truth!" Eric said, a little too excited to have a turn. I noticed Brent and Barry avoiding eye contact. Then I thought of something that could make things less awkward for those two.
"Eric, who do you think is the most attractive in this room?" Eric laughed at my question.
"Guess I can't say myself. I guess Brent, he's done a lot these last few years to better himself, and it really paid off"
"Aw thanks man" Brent said with a slight blush.
It was Eric's turn to ask another question.
"Barry, truth or dare?" He asked. I looked at Barry and leaned forward, hoping to hear him say dare.
"Guess it's time. I take dare" He said. Eric and I looked at each other a moment, and I knew he was thinking the same thing I was.
"Okay Barry, I dare you to kiss someone here" Eric said with a smile. Barry started blushing like crazy.
"Can... Can you guys close your eyes?" He asked. I looked at Eric, then Brent, and we all agreed. I shut my eyes and waited. It felt like a whole minute went by before Barry said anything.
"Alright, all done" I opened my eyes and looked around. Everyone was in the same seat, but Brent was blushing with a big smile on his face.
"Looks like someone can't keep a secret" Eric chuckled.
"Shut up" Brent growled.
"Whatever man, we aren't judging" I said, giving his shoulder a gently push. Barry now had his face buried in his hands. Brent stood up and walked over to him, removing his hands and holding up his face.
"Barry, don't be afraid to show your true feelings" Eric said with a hand on his back. "We all support you"
Barry smiled and looked at Brent. They stared into each others eyes for far too long. I looked at Eric and we both sighed. Sure, we were happy for them. We just weren't expecting feelings to come out from a silly kids game.
