Katalina is a blonde beauty and a wild child, also known as the problem child. Her mom calls her an embarrassment to the family so she goes out of her way to make her mother right. She loves to go out and party with her friends and she's definitely not the designated driver. despite her recklessness she is incredibly smart and does very well in school. She is loud and rebellious, but not really one to follow rules. She is very introverted if she's not partying she prefers to spend a lot of her time sleeping and doesn't have many real friends. shes pretty sarcastic most of the time and doesn't like commitment shes never been in a real relationship longer than a month.
She also has a lot of issues, you can tell that bipolar is one of them because her moods will change on you so fast its funny, she goes from calmly washing the dishes to throwing them at you, true story. She has a lot of PTSD that she covers up with her drug addiction and alcoholic tendencies.

Despite her personality she can be a real sweetheart to nonhuman beings, she's pretty practical when she's sober, she likes long walks on the beach and watching the sunset, she loves to surf in the early mornings and late nights, she like fresh strawberries and reading books outside when is sunny or the rain has just stopped, she also has a dog that she plays with a lot named Adora, and in the winter she stays inside a lot writing music reading or surfing the web with a nice hot cup of coffee or tea, however her wild side likes late nights and drinking till she drops, literally and lots and lots of sex. She's the life of the party anywhere she goes bit it's also "her" party anywhere she gods. A major flaw in her is her selfishness and she rarely stops to think about the effects her actions have on other people especially when her additions are involved. She's not the nicest person in the world but she's fun to be around and of you can get to her she'll be a good friend 70% of the time.

Backstory:

Katalina was born a healthy baby girl to very rich parents and she was the light of her father's life, her mother, who had had a particularly hard time giving birth to her ended up putting an end to Irene's career as a ballet dancer. From the moment Kat could rembere there was a always and unspoken distance between her and her mom but she manages to have an okay childhood having a great older sister and being her daddy's little princess. That's was until she was 10 years old.

when Kat was 10 years old she was kidnapped at a mall when she got separated from her parents and sister, she wasn't found until two years later, with a few other kids, they were part of a child trafficking ring and when they found her she was barely able to walk, they kept the children doped up on drugs, but they never made her forget a thing. When she was freed along with a few other kids she kept in touch with them and together forged kind of a support group between each other. Though currently she dose not keep up with them anymore and only has contact with Mason.

After she was found she was very disconnected from life. Mason who'd she'd grown an attachment with in thier time together as captives was the only one who could get her to speak. Not even her sister whom she was incredibly close with could get to her speak and her mother completely resented her for this fact. Thier relationship turned bitter after Kat was found and she thought it was because her mother resented her for the attention she got from her father in this. Eventually for about a year or so Mason, he's grandma and brother temporarily moved in with Kat, while he also seems to need her around. They shared a room and used each other to day safe.

Her "recovery" atartes around when her phycatrist decided to amp ip her meds and she became intoerly dependent on them as she began to feel normal again. She started taking an intrest in her father's job as a world-renowned drink mixer nut it akso kickstarted her addiction around when she turned 13 and would get into her fathers drinks. Her father wanted her to work with him but her real passion was music. She was the star of any show she wanted to be in, she could sing dance, play instruments and act, she could have been a one women show, but being alone didn't suit her much so she formed a band called pretty white lies with Mason. It was her escape but she refused to use her families connections to get them a record deal and they liked working at their little bar, it was homey and it was her success, not her parents.

15 was when when the partying started happening, her mom has caught her sneaking back into the house drunk several times and her sister, even more, when she was 16 she was caught with weed at school and with further investigation she was using other drugs too, mostly popping pills. She got arrested but her moms connections got her out. she doesn't have a very good relationship with her mom, her mom called her the embarrassment, she was a daddy's girl but her father left when he got fed up with her mother when they got divorced. Kat wanted to leave with but she wasn't old enough and unfortunately for some un-godly reason her mom fought to keep her even though she is always blaming Kat for everything that happened.

Mason was by her side in all of this. They co Vince themselves through pills and the drinking and the partying was what they needed. Kats night terrors began to get worse during thier sober nights and even after Mason moved out he frequently stayed the night with cat holding her and being her safety net when these night terrors happened. However he wasn't the only one keeping her bed warm. She developed an intimate relationship with his brother Brandon and they were more roxic for each other than a chemical fire.

He always seems to get her hooked on something new, she would get I to more and .ore trouble the more time she spent with him and the more it happened the more Mason began to grown up and resent his brother and worry for Kat. The final straw was when not only did Brandon get Kat completely stung out but left her behind to take the fall for his crime and make her do the time. Then skipped town without saying a word. That's the first night Kat had herself brought jerself to the btink of death and she agreed to go to rehab with Mason.

He took took it well, but Kat.... not so much. Her night terrors where at an m tome high, almsot evry night the entire building shook with kats ear picking screams caring out for Mason who always came to her aid. When they git out Maosn was the o ly one who stayed sober. Kat continued to over use her medication and spend most night wasted and this has led to more than one hospitalstintt but Mason forever tried his best to keep her safe. And thought the Yeats, as thier band grew and they became close there was a whole team in her corner watching out fir her.

Despite all of that her sister remained close to her even though Korin her sister was always favored and didn't have much time, they always did everything they could together, But Korin was successful and she eventually started traveling a lot for modeling and business trips and she was left to deal with her mother alone.

Throughout the years Kats mother has committed her several times but not with the intention of helping Kat get better but keeping her out of the way when she didn't feel like dealing with her. Her relationship with her mother is non-existent and the day she turned 18 moved out and bought her own apartment.

"Wish you were sober"
You have been Kat's friend for years and eventually that love grew and you two are now in a relationship. You see a side of her that no one else does but your also there for the moments everyone else sees. The always high or drunken state she is in and her wild part girl lifestyle. You however know the tole it is taking on her heath and you've been subtly trying to suggest she slow down on all the drinking (you don't know about the drugs). One Saturday night Kat invites you to a party she is going to because shes never been to thw house and she doesn't wanna go alone, at first you resist but she convinces you to go anyway. After you get to the party is not too long before Kat is drunk and you aren't having a good time so you tell her you're ready to go and she agrees but tells you she needs to get something first and heads off. After about ten minutes you go to find her seeing as she hasnt come back and you see her putting something in her pocket and hand someone money. Of course you arw suspicious amd you ask her aboutnit but she avoids the question and says shes ready to go and you head outside and she gives you a kiss "you wanna come stay the night my house" she asks you, you...?

Kat and you have been friends with benefits for a while, you smoke together and drink together and you always have a good time. You slowly start to realize you are having real feelings for her and you have no idea how to tell her so you keep quite about untill you get a call from Kat who was at the hospital. She'd never reached out to you about something like this so you think now would be a good time to tell her that you wanted to be in a real relationship but when you see her at the hospital the doctor tells you exactly what is wrong with her and it is way worse than she made it.out to be but when you see her in the hospital brd looking tiered she seemed totally fine you....?
