It was a beautiful day, Beacon academy training the newbies, by training I mean they get launched into a forest filled with Grimm, birds are chirping, everything is nice.  All of a sudden a big flash of light soaks the land and its inhabitants. A young girl by the name of Ruby Rose used her weapon known as the Crescent rose, a scythe that's also a gun, looked through the scope and saw a tail in the ocean.  "Hey guys" Ruby screamed "it's a snake". Yang Xio Long walks up to Ruby, looks into the distance and says "that's no snake" loading her gun gauntlets she runs to the ocean to see what's up. Blake took a look as well, while Wheiss is getting pissy because lets face it, it's Wheiss.
As the creature comes closer to land, all of Beacon academy starts to turn to chaos and everyone starts running, people are getting hurt.  Ruby tries shooting it from a far, then a rock from flying debris starting destroying the place causing team Rwby to get hit from it, they decide to retreat.  When the creature gets to land it makes a high pitched, and loud, roar as people are running in pure terror.

All of a sudden Ruby disappears from her team. Little does everyone know that she went to go get a closer look. The monster then stopped, turned around and looked her dead in the face, roared as loud as it could while saliva flies out, covering Ruby from head to toe, she looks up and gasps and the thing starts turning colors and starts getting bigger. Ruby couldn't believe her eyes as it was getting bigger and bigger until finally it stopped. When it stopped it roared into the sky with a much louder roar with a much deeper tone. This think looked meaner, and was red instead of yellow, it walked on two legs and had tiny little arms.

It was at this moment everyone knew, Remnant wasn't safe.
