This particular poem was something I felt inspired to write due to a story I am considering writing.

Muffin

Muffin,

Oh, Muffin,

Where have you gone?

With your long tail,

your floppy ears,

your dopey green eyes,

and brown fur,

you have made me happy.

I have not been happy for long,

so Muffin,

where are you?

Muffin, come back,

please,

oh, please, Muffin,

you are the one who greets me

whenever I come home,

so Muffin please return to me!

 The girl stood there in her yard

with her eyes full of tears

from the fear,

the pain and agony

because she can't find her dear beloved pet.

    Sarah shook,

   her body grew weak

because she had no idea

where to look

for her Muffin.

    Muffin, Muffin,

   She called out in desperation,

   She  checked the neighbor's homes,

the road across the street,

but at long last felt she had been beaten,

for her Muffin

  was nowhere to be found,

Alas, the loss of her hound.
