"Help!" screeched Willowdusk Raintail, the medicine cat burst through the nursery entrance and yowled over Willowdusk's screeching "I'm here!" he replied; he muttered to himself "I need a stick, no poppy seeds she needs to feel the pain and some herbs" then he said to Willowdusk "I need to get the things I need to help you, I'll be back." She nodded and started yowling again he went and came back quickly.

It was a couple of moons after Willowdusk hade her kits. She named them Oceankit, Shimmerkit and Peblekit they were very popular, because Willowdusk was one of the first to have kits in a long time. Pebblekit was one of the first to open his eyes and he would always prod me, Shimmerkit and Oceankit in the side with his paws. It was very annoying so, Oceankit decided to open her eyes before me; then a few moons later I opened my eyes.

"Ahhh! Help! There's a badger coming!" squealed Pebblekit we were all playing a game we called 'Badger' it was very fun, but it was becoming a little boring; we played it all the time. "Pebblekit, don't you think we should play something different; like...... Shadeclan is attacking our camp?" Pebblekit glared at me but soon his eyes we're filled with thoughtfulness then he replied "Of course, we can try a different game!" But right when we started to organize the game three huge black toms burst into the clearing and with a yowl of battle the attacked. I felt something sink it's teeth into my scruff and I realized it was mother, she ran into the nursery and dropped us near another queen, Runningbrook they were best friends; then mother said "I'm going to go fight, I have to go now. Stay close to Runningbrook." We all nodded and we tried to hide in the bramble thicket.

Soon after the battle, mother had a few scratches on her flanks and a deep wound on her shoulder. She went to the medicine cat den to see Raintail. She would always moan about us; so me and Oceankit came to visit her. Mother was really happy to see that we weren't hurt, she groomed our fur like we were getting our apprentice ceremony!

Days had passed since the battle with ShadeClan, it was a really normal day until...... "All cats, old enough to catch there own prey, gather here beneath the Hightrock for a Clan meting!" Splashstar's voice sounded all across the clearing with a rasping sound, but it was loud enough to hear. He was doing a apprentice ceremony! Then it hit her like a blow to the mind it was Pebblekit's ceremony! She thought to herself. All the cats had come out of there dens and were waiting for the ceremony, then mother started grooming Pebblekit like crazy then he stepped forward. The ceremony was about to start! " Pebblekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Pebblepaw. Your mentor will be Otterleg" Spalshstar gestured with his tail for Otterleg to step forward "I hope Otterleg will pass down all he knows on to you." he meowed. Wow! Pebblekit, I mean Pebblepaw is an apprentice now! I want to be an apprentice, a pang of envy hit her and then she remembered she was only 4 moons old so it wouldn't be long before she was apprenticed.Everybody chanted his name as an apprentice of LakeClan."Pebblepaw, Pebblepaw!"

A couple of days hade passed, since the ceremony. I wonder if I could train with Pebblepaw? She thought to herself she padded of to Pebblepaw in the apprentice's den. She prodded him in the side; and thought He did this when we were kits, she was cut short from her thoughts. Pebblepaw was demanding her something "Why are you waking me up!" He hissed his eyes blazing, "Iwanted to know if-" she was cut short by Otterleg poking his head through the entrance to the apprentices den. Pebblepaw scrambled up and whispered "See you later Shimmerkit." She was wondering if Pebblepaw was imberessed of being her brother.

She bounded off to Oceankit. "Hey Oceankit, wanna play?" "Sure.What game?" "I don't know maybe we can...." It came to; her sneak out of camp and pretend to be apprentices! "We could pretend to apprentices!" "Well... we shouldn't sneak out. It's bad" she replied anxiously. I knew Oceankit was right but it would be very fun, why didn't she just agree with me? Oceankit interrupted her thoughts when she said "Okay, I guess we can sneak out be we need to make up an excuse." she said with a mmrow of laughter and a hint of amusement in her eyes.

They carefully picked there way out of the fern tunnel and were in a big forest clearing."Wow! This place is huge!" She looked at Oceankit and her eyes were as big as moons. They climbed the ravine,"Where are we going?" Asked Oceankit curiously. "Er.... I think this way." She said pointing with her tail towards a sandy dip in the ground. "That's the sandy hollow! Where the apprentices train!" Oceankit exclaimed. Shimmerkit tried to look further out but there was mist, thick undergrowth and trees also blocking her view. "Let's go!" Shimmerkit exclaimed but before they even started to move a yowl sounded behind them Shimmerkit turned her head to see......
