The bell rang. I gathered my stuff and rushed out of class. School was over for the day, so I only had to go to my locker and grab my things before leaving. I went to my locker and grabbed my things, and then went outside. I walked up to Ocean.

"Alright let's go."

We started walking. "So, what did you do today?" Ocean asked.

"Well, my math teacher said I was late again, even though I sat down before the bell rang. My English teacher assigned homework on what we would do if we had powers but couldn't tell anyone."

"Well that's a problem"

"Yeah. I'll just have to be careful with what I write."

"And you're also going to let me read it."

"Why?"

"Because, you're not that careful, so I will read it to make sure you were careful."

"Okay..."

We arrived back home.

"Well, I guess I better start on my homework," I said.

"Yeah. Remember we have a meeting with the others today."

"Yup, I know."

I went upstairs to my room and took out my homework. About 2 hours later, Ocean called me down for dinner. I had finished all of my homework, except for English. Though, that was to be expected as we have a week to do it. I walked downstairs.

"What's for dinner?" I asked.

"Pizza"

"Of course."

Nearly every Monday, we either have pizza or mac and cheese. Why? Because our parents don't come home until late on Monday's and Ocean can't cook.

"Have you finished your homework?" Ocean asked.

"Have you?" I replied back.

Ocean procrastinates, especially when it comes to homework.

"No..." Ocean replied.

"Well, I've finished most of mine."
"Of course you have."

"I would offer to help but, you're older than me and are learning things I haven't learned yet."

"You could still try to help."

"Nah. Anyways, who's house is the meeting at tonight?"
"Ours."

"And you ordered pizza? You could have at least made something like grilled cheese, that's easy"
"You know I can't cook"
"Fair point. Welp looks like I'm going to cook instead of working on my English homework."

"What are you going to cook?"
"Do your homework, you'll see later."

"Fine," Ocean went upstairs to his room.

Finally some peace and quiet. Well, not for long. The meeting starts at 7 and it's already 6. People normally arrive before 7 though. I started making a salad, grilled cheese, and lemonade.

I finished cooking at 6:45.

"Ocean! It's almost time!"
"Coming!" he ran down the stairs.

I hear a knock on the door.

"It's unlocked!" I yell.

Two people walk in. I see that they are my friends Alex and Jayden.

"Hey guys, long time no see"

"Hi Galaxy, Hi Ocean"

"How are you guys doing?" I asked.

"Well, for being people with weird powers as a secret, we're doing pretty well," Alex answered.

"How are you guys doing?" Jayden asked.

"Pretty good." I answered.

"Who else is coming to the meeting?" I asked.

"We don't know but, as no one else is here yet and it's 7:05, I'm going to assume no one else is coming" Jayden said.

"Makes sense"

"So! What food did you make?" Alex asked.

"Well, I made some salad, lemonade, and I put cheese on bread"

"I thought you were making grilled cheese." Jayden pointed out

"Well, I was but I thought that Alex would like to do the grilling part."

"Heck yeah! Just tell me how toasted you want it"

We started laughing. Alex has fire powers which is how she is going to heat up the grilled cheese. Jayden has telepathic and telekinetic powers which is how she knew that I was going to make grilled cheese.

After we finished eating we just started talking until we thought of something to do.

"I wonder why no one else came to the meeting today." Ocean brought up.

"They probably couldn't sneak out or were busy with work." I said.

"Probably"

"I thought of something to do!" Jayden says jumping up from the couch.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, we are in the living room now.

"What is it?" Alex asked.

"Well, y'know how we have cool powers? I thought that we could go around helping people or saving people, stuff like that" Jayden started rambling on and on.

I jumped up, "That's a great idea!" I said.

"How are we going to hide our identity though?" Ocean asked.

"Simple, we just wear masks!" Alex said.

I ran downstairs into the basement, grabbed a box and brought it upstairs to the living room.

"We have a box full of masks from Halloween"

We all looked through the box trying to find a mask that we liked. Once we all found one that we liked we sat back down on the couch.

"How are we going to find people that are in trouble, we can't just walk around trying to find something to do."

I looked at Jayden.

"Well, we could use Jayden's telepathic powers to try and figure out what's happening where."
"Sounds cool," Jayden said.

"Great!" Alex shouted.

Jayden closed her eyes so she could concentrate better and started searching around. After a couple minutes Jayden opened her eyes.

"There is a house on fire a few blocks away."
"Alright Galaxy, you're up" Alex said.

We all walked into the backyard. I shifted into a horse.

"Alright, Ocean and I, will ride on Galaxy's back, Jayden you can use your powers to fly right?"

"Yup."

"Does everyone have their masks on?"

"Yep"

Ocean and Alex climb onto my back, and Jayden lifts up into the air. I start galloping towards the house. We arrive at the house and Ocean and Alex get off my back. I shift back into human form.

"Alright, Alex you can absorb the fire, Ocean you can put out the fire with water, and Jayden you can clear a path and help the people out of the house, I'm going to shift into a phoenix and see what I can do"
"Alright."

I shift into a phoenix as Alex leads us into the house. Alex starts moving the fire out of our path, as Ocean starts clearing it out with fire. This is what is going to happen until we reach the people. I stay near Jayden and help protect her from the fire, since she can get burned by it. We reach the people. The people look up. Alex starts speaking.

"Hi. We are here to help, please don't be scared. You are going to follow this woman over here and this phoenix to the exit. Me and my other friend are going to work on putting out the fire."

We start leading the people to the exit. I see a piece of the ceiling that is about to fall down onto the people. I fly up and grab it in my talons. I throw it to the side. We make it out of the house. I shift back into my human form.

"Nice work" Jayden said

"Thanks."

The people are standing there speechless. Ocean and Alex walk out of the house once the fire is out.

"What are you?" One of the people asks.

"Rude." Jayden mutters.

"We are people with powers..." Alex says

"Woah, that's cool! I wish I had powers!" One of the children says.

"Thanks buddy"

"Who are you?" The other adult asks.

"Well, I'm Flame" Alex says, she points at Jayden "This is двигатель ума", she points at Ocean "This is víz", she points at me "This is Shifter"

"What languages are those names in?"

"The second name is Russian and the third name is Hungarian, the other two are in English"

"Oh cool"

"Thanks for saving us and putting out the fire"

"No problem"

For the rest of the night we help people. When we finally get home we are exhausted.

"Do you guys want to sleep over at our house for the night?" I ask

"Sure, why not?" Jayden replies

We go inside and go to sleep. Today was a lot of fun.

"Goodnight Galaxy" Alex says

"Goodnight everyone"
