Alec woke up. Siting up quickly. Breathing hard I looked around wildly. My mind was racing. Where am I? What happened? How'd I get here? Oh Geez.... I need to get out, and I need to get out now. I stood up slowly-almost falling back down in the process. I looked down at my bare chest. And inspected the bandages that littered it. Who did this? Why? Can't be apart of.... No... they wouldn't bandage me.... I've been there enough times to know that. I looked around the room I was in... maybe they did it? Whatever I don't know... I spotted a picture frame. I went over and picked it up. A young girl with Brown hair braided laying on her left shoulder, wearing a rainbow one piece swimsuit. And what looked like the girls mother, kneeling with her arm around the young girl. She had brown curly hair with soft emerald green eyes. She was wearing a black and blue wet suit. And there was a light brown surfboard with a Black circle in the center. The black circle had the outlines of waves in sea green. Behind them I could see the clear ocean and white sand.... a pretty beach if I do say so myself. I carefully opened the picture frame and took the backing and the picture out of the frame before grabbing the glass and breaking it a bit on the nightstand. I held the jagged piece of glass in my hand and made my way silently over to the door. I have No Idea who this person is, for all I know they could just be using this house and that family could be in danger. I reached for the door handle and opened the door slowly. I caught a waft of tacos.... Man I love tacos... When did I last have them? I should have them more often... it should be illegal to never have tacos... honestly it's like they came from the gods themselves.... gods.... wonder if those are really.... that'd be strange.... hmm... wonder what'd they be like, arrogant? Assholes? Who knows really.... Damn it. Stupid ADHD I'm off track again. I shook my head a bit as if clearing my thoughts and carefully followed the smell with the jagged piece of glass in hand. I took another step and cringed when I heard the creak of the floorboards as I stepped into the kitchen/dining room. I looked up when I heard a female voice "Oh Good. I was just making Tacos. Want some?" She asks. I blinked in response and I gripped the piece of glass. "Who are you?" I asked, my voice was a bit raspy. I was taken back by that. I don't think it normal sounded like that.... but I don't quite remember when I last used it... I shook the thought from my head when I heard her response "Lily {Insert Last Name}, and you?" I scanned her with my eyes. She had blonde ombréd into brown hair. It was in a wet messy bun. And there were some pieces on both sides of her face hanging down framing her face, they were curly. She had Sea Green eyes. She was wearing black leggings and a white crop top with he Mahalo sign in black on the front and she had a black and white flannel tied around her waist. She had light brown skin. "Alec {Insert last name}" I said, my voice still raspy. I'm not gonna like my throat hurt a bit. I took a few more cautious steps into the kitchen. I watched as she got a cup of water and pushed it across the counter towards me "Back to my original Question, Tacos?" She asked. I took the water great fully and took a drink "Yes Please" I said, my voice was a bit clearer then it was a few moments ago. I sat down at the counter as she made a few tacos and put them on two plates. She passed one to me and came around and sat down by me as we both started eating. "So.... where am I exactly?" I asked between bites. "We're on the isle of the Shifters.... you're new aren't you. By the way, why were in the water not only way to deep, but fully clothed?" She asked once she was done chewing. I almost choked on my taco. The ISLE OF THE SHIFTERS?! What the Heckle am I doing here. I was just in Canada... well... last time I was awake and I knew where I was.... "Well uh... it was accidental... and I'm not actually sure, cause the last time I was awake and I knew where I was.... I was in Canada, not like... in the ocean or anything" I responded looking up at her. She was in the middle of taking a drink of water when I spoke. And she did a spit take. Successfully spitting water all over me. A laughed as I took a napkin and wiped it off of my face as she apologized. I cut her off "It's okay.. really.. it's fine- I'm not mad" I responded. Calming down a bit, she nodded slightly. "Again.... Sorry... I just- didn't expect you to say you were in Canada the last time you could remember" she says, before adding. "It's just that.... not many have come to the isle these past hundred years... so you get why I was well.... surprised, you know." I nodded a bit as she explained, "Oh, Okay. Makes sense then" I responded taking a sip of water. We finished eating and I got up, putting the dishes in the sink. "So. I don't have any clothes that fit you. And I kinda cut your shirt off earlier... cause well... you were bleeding out... and well... you're still covered in blood" she says after a few moments. I looked down at myself... oh... I am. Hmm, I didn't even realize. I turned my gaze up to look at her, as she continued speaking. "I could go into town and get you some. While you take a shower and clean yourself from the blood.. and sand..." I nodded. I wrote down my sizes on a piece of paper, she took it and headed for the door before stopping. She looked back at me "Wait. What kind of clothing do you prefer?" She asked me. "Uhm, Black Skinny Jeans, Ripped or not ripped or Joggers. Any color hoodie, or a muscle shirt.... or a shirt I could turn into a muscle shirt... any of those are fine" I responded as I finished up the last of the dishes. She nodded and headed out the door. And I got into the shower a few minutes later.
