Epilogue

I really love the picture in the media. I don't know why.

The air was sweet and warm, filled with loud chatter and happy banter as I cleaned down the register table. I heard another ding as the front door opened, bringing in another customer and I quickly serve them, taking their order before making it.

"Let me love." Levi kisses my cheek and goes over to bring the order to the customer as I leaned my elbows on the table, resting my head in my hands as I watched him with a bright smile. I was helping out Levi in his tea shop like I have been doing for the past few years, growing older by each passing day but filled with peace and joy.

Levi walks back up to me and I just smiled, him raising a brow at me as he brushed past me while holding my hips gently. "Why are you smiling like that?" I look over at Levi, still in awe of how handsome he looked despite both of us growing old.

"Nothing. Just staring at my handsome husband." I giggle and Levi playfully pinches my waist and I squeal.

"Really? Cause it seems that my beautiful wife is up to something sneaky." He cheekily smiles down at me before serving another customer that walked into the shop.

Levi looked so much at ease now, no stress of surviving the next day without being eaten by titans or being at war with another continent. He was finally at peace and I felt the weight of the world fall off my shoulders.

I walk behind him and hug him tightly, burying my head against his back as he made coffee. "What's wrong (y/n)?" Levi asks me, worried but I shake my head.

"I'm just relieved." I feel Levi hold my hands and kiss them gently.

"About?"

"Just you being happy. Are you happy?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" Levi turns around in my arms, looking down at me with a slight frown, worry in his eyes.

"I... I need to know if you're ok Levi. I need to know if-"

"-Of course I'm happy." I freeze as Levi holds my face in his hands. "You make me happy."

"But-"

"-you helped me enjoy life like I never have before. I was willing to go through each day fighting until the day it's over but with you, I'm fighting to survive and be happy." Levi leans his forehead on mine and I realise he was saying those same words back in his office decades ago when I found his journal and the badges of the dead soldiers.

He really is Levi through and through.

I sigh out happily as he hugged me tightly. "You make me happy (y/n). You make me want to live." Levi leans back and smiles softly at me as I just teared up, a bright smile on my face. "Now stop crying. I hate it when you cry."

"Ok ok." I chuckle as he wipes my tears away and I quickly put on my customer service smile as the front door dings again, a young girl in a black hoodie ordering black tea before sitting down.

I was busy making the orders, hearing the bell ring again. "Mama!" I gasp and turn around seeing my tiny bundle of joy squeal out for me as Armin held her, the whole gang walking into the shop.

"Sweetpea!" I rush over and pick her up in my arms, spinning her around in my arms as she giggled. "How was your day?"

"Auntie Mikasa showed me how you kicked butt in the old days!"

"Is that so?" I grin as my tiny 6-year-old with the crazy (h/c) coloured hair and shining steel eyes babbled on about her day.

"I heard my princess!" I turn around to see Levi slam the back door open, a giant smile on his face as he walked over and picked up our child.

"Daddy!"

"How was my brat today? Did you behave well?"

"I'm not a brat!" Our child huffs out and Levi chuckles soft, nuzzling her nose. "And yes. I did behave cause Uncle Armin got me ice cream!"

"Well that's good but I hope you didn't only just eat sweets today." Levi lightly scolds his princess and she just giggles.

"Thank you so much for looking after her today." Annie smiles, shaking her head.

"She's a sweetheart to look after."

"She really takes after you two." Mikasa comments as I watch my husband interact with our child, teaching her how to make tea since she loved it as much as we did.

"I'm surprised about that too. Wheres the little one?"

"Right here!" Eren walks in, carrying a baby carriage as a young boy with steel eyes held the door open for him. Eren sets down the carriage on the registration desk and I coo as my baby makes grabby hands for me.

"How was he? I hope he didn't cause too much trouble." I murmur out, picking him up and gently cradling him in my arms as he nibbled on my finger. Our second born looked exactly like his father but his eyes were a warm (e/c) colour and was more calm than his energetic older sister.

"Slept like a baby the entire time." Armin chuckles out.

"He takes his love of sleep from you." Levi chuckles from behind me and I roll my eyes.

"And her love of being superior captain is from you." I point out to our baby girl as she started ordering the co-workers around. "How is everything with you guys?" I turn back around to the guys, letting them sit down at a table as I served them my baby boy in my arms.

"Jean and Connie are looking after our little one." Eren chuckles out and I wince knowing their son was absolute chaos.

"Nicolo and Sasha are demanding they we let them be in charge of food for our wedding." Armin says and Annie blushes softly at the notion.

"How is Hanji and Erwin?" Mikasa asks.

"Busy with the hotel and the usual. Hey! They asked me to ask you if you wanted to come over this weekend for lunch? The others too!" I beam and they all nod eagerly.

"It's been a while since we got together." Annie sighs out and I lean back against Levi as his kisses my my head, carrying our sweet princess in his arms.

"It has been huh." Levi and I let our kids sleep in their spare beds we had set up in breakroom as we closed down the store, the last few customers trickling out. I watched this one odd couple walk out, a sense of deja vu hitting me.

"Hey Levi." He hums out, wiping down the tables. "What would you do if this was all a dream?" I mumble out.

"What's with all these philosophical questions today?"

"I'm just wondering. It's weird, I came from another universe, lived in yours and survived for decades as a titan before I became human again. It's all just... it feels strange... like its a weird dream..." I murmur out and I look over my shoulder as Levi walks over to me, hugging me from behind.

"Dream or not, you have made me the happiest man alive (y/n)." Levi leans his chin on my shoulder, holding me tight.

"But what happens if I go back to my universe suddenly?" I wonder sadly, thinking that maybe something like this might happen.

"I have lived each day to the fullest with you and our children and I don't regret anything. If it was a dream, I would live every second I had with you and I would do it all over again. From the moment with the female titan in the forest where we first met till now, with you in my arms." I smile softly at his words, feeling his lips press against my neck.

"What if our old selves were meeting each other for the first time again right now?" I giggle as Levi nibbled on my ear.

"I think we would fall in love all over again like fate." I stifle my moans as Levi leans down to leave kisses across my neck.

"You really believe that?" I stutter out and Levi turns me around, my back pressed against the countertop as I gulped. Levi loomed over me, gripping my waist.

"You are my fate in any universe (y/n), no matter where you shift. I would always find you." I grin at Levi's cheesy words, silencing him as I kissed him.

I will always find you too Levi, in any universe.

I hiss out as light blinded me, making me hide beneath the blanket and turn around but I yelp as I fall off whatever I was sleeping on. I grunt in slight pain, just laying on the carpeted floor in exhaustion before slowly sitting up. I notice that the TV was turned off but my Attack on titan episodes was still running on my laptop.

"I can't believe I fell asleep on the couch. Goddamnit." I sigh out, sitting on the couch and pausing the episode to check the time. "Jesus fuck! I slept the whole day away!" I gape as I stare at the time reading 5:35 pm and I run my hands down my face.

Oh well. I'm hungry.

I get up and brush my teeth, spraying an ungodly amount of deodorant as I change into a hoodie and tights before slipping on a black hoodie. I grab my keys, phone and headphones before heading out of the empty house.

I stretch, yawning out as I walked down the pathway, the sun still up and high in the sky considering it was spring so obviously the day was longer. I hiss lightly, suddenly feeling sore in my body.

Must've slept wrong or something.

I shake my head, plugging in my headphones and walking down to my favourite cafe. It was a warm and peaceful day and I just felt like sitting outside to just watch the day fade away. It was just one of those days where I just felt empty.

I finally find the cafe and I walk in, wincing at how crowded it was but I wasn't surprised since it was the best tea shop in the area. I walk to the front, ordering my usual black tea with sugar. I sigh and sit down in an empty booth that was luckily by a window, sitting back against the seat.

I hear the bell ring signally another customer walked in and I look over to see a group of kids entering as they went straight to talk to one of the owners of the tea shop.

I mean, they all look older than me so why am I calling them kids?

I turn back to look out the window but I jump in surprise to see someone sitting in the spare seat right in front of me. I look around and see that the place was filled but the chatter was calmed down to a hushed whisper from every customer so it wasn't annoying. I take a glimpse at the person sitting in front of me and sharing the table as a guy.

He looked quiet and reserved, glasses on his face as he wore a sleek black turtle neck with a coat. His hair was slicked back lightly to reveal the faded shaved undercut, the reflection of his phone shining back on his glasses. I look away, not wanting to seem like and I turn to face the window, eyes slowly drooping.

"Mama!" I open my eyes and look around to see a young child look at me with wide eyes, blinking rapidly at me.

"Uh hi kid." I awkwardly say as the girl just tilts her head at me before looking back at one of the owners of the tea shop.

"Mama looks young-"

"-shit, I'm so sorry. Hope she didn't bother you two." the other owner of teh shop came to pick up his child, shushing her.

"It was no problem." I shrug, cooing at the little girl and she grins at me. "She's adorable." I look up and see the owner stare at me with wide eyes before shaking his head.

"Thank you." He walks off and I realise he looked familiar and I turn to face the guy that was sitting opposite of me. "Funny how he looked like you. Like a grown version of you." I mumble out and the guy peers at me, raising a brow and I point to the husband owning the tea shop. "Nevermind." I shut down the conversation and go back to listening to music until the wife comes over with a tray.

"One black tea. Sorry, who was this for-"

"-that would be me." I blurt out at the same time as the guy and he narrows his eyes at me. "You can take it-"

"-no. You were here first. Makes sense it would be yours first." I quickly shut up, knowing this guy wasn't going to drop this.

"Uh, thank you so much." I beam at the wife as I pick up the cup and I freeze. "Wait, is this with or without sugar."

"Uh, it's without." I nod and set the cup down as the owner walks off.

"I think this is actually yours." I gently push the cup towards the guy and he nods.

"She looks like you. Like a grown version of you." The guy mimics me and I turn around to look at the wife and I furrow my brows.

She does...

"I guess." I chuckle nervously, swamped back into a silence that had turned awkward. I go back to listening to music, humming softly every now and then.

"Here you go, black tea with sugar." the husband comes over and I thank him, blowing over the cup a few times before taking a sip. I sigh happily, looking over at the guy to see him hold his cup strangely but the rim.

"That's an odd way to hold a cup." I try it myself but I felt nervous that I was going to drop it.

"You better not be making fun of me." The guy grumbles out and I shake my head.

"I wasn't! Just bored and curious." I shrug and we go back to doing our own thing until it was closing time. I stretch and get up to leave when I feel someone pull me back.

"You left these." It was the turtleneck guy holding my keys.

"For fucks sake! Thank you! I would've been locked out if I lost these."

"You're very forgetful. Wouldn't you have someone to open the door for you if you were locked out?"

"Yeah but I don't trust my family to not forget their keys as well." I shrug, walking out of the cafe with the guy. "So you drink dark teas without sugar?"

"I don't like sweet things unlike you."

"It's not a crime to add some sugar." I shrug. "It's a real crime if you add it in lighter tears like lemon and ginger or lavender tea. You need honey for those."

"I would actually have to agree with you on that." I chuckle, walking side by side with a complete stranger.

"The names (y/n) by the way." The guy looks at me, the hint of a small smile lifting the corner of his lips.

"Levi Ackerman."
