I mindlessly walk around the field, my head craned up as all my focus was on the stars twinkling above me. I sighed blissfully against the unusual warm winds, spinning around in giddiness as I just watched the stars. I tiptoed up, reaching a hand up to the stars as if I was trying to touch one. I stand back down to normal, holding my arms as I just watched their lights shine against the night sky.

I was outside, just waiting for Hanji as she wanted to do an experiment with me which was odd considering how late it was.

I squeal in surprise as I feel arms wrap around my waist and spin me around off the ground. "Levi!" I giggle, hearing him chuckle as he put me down and I turn around to face him.

"How did you know it was me?" Levi asks, keeping his arms around my waist as I grin up at him.

"You have this really nice smell of lemon and detergent." Levi blinks at me in surprise, his cheeks flushing a soft pink. I lean forward and rest my nose on his chest, just breathing him in.

"Stop that you brat." Levi coughs out in embarrassment and I lean back, just chuckling. Levi looks down at me after clearing his blush, his eyes hooded with a soft look like I was his world. My heart raced as I stared up at him, seeing the stars shine in his eyes as he smiled gently. I close my eyes as Levi brushes his fingers against my cheek and I lean into his palm, holding his hand with mine. I look up at him as he holds my left hand, kissing the back of my finger that has his ring on it.

"Levi..." I don't know if it was the late-night sentiments or the overwhelming warm feeling from him but I wanted to shower Levi with all the love he deserved in this world. I lean down and kiss his chest where his heart would be, feeling his erratic heartbeat against my fingertips.

"Whatcha doing lovebirds!?" I jump in fright and whip my head to see Hanji prancing over to us with the biggest shit-eating grin on her face. I groan out lowly and I hear Levi growl in annoyance.

"Waiting for you apparently." I sigh out and Hanji just laughs.

"No need to be sassy (y/n). The sooner we get this over with the sooner you two can break the bed!" I sputter out and I feel Levi clutch onto my waist as his face goes red.

"Keep that filthy mouth of yours shut shitty glasses." Levi hisses out, hesitantly letting me go.

"You're so easy to rile up short stack!" Hanji grins but quickly turns to me. "Are you ready (y/n)?"

"Ready for what? You never told me what I'm doing." I shrug, keeping close to Levi.

"Oh right! I want you to try and summon the Guardian Titan in your human form!" I freeze up, my body going frigid. "I thought that if you could summon it in your titan form, what about your human form!?"

Wait, can I actually do that?

"Hanji I don't think-"

"-I want to see your light up like a red Christmas tree!" I gulp, terrified that I might lose control.

"I don't know-"

"-please! I want to talk to the Guardian! Maybe it can give us some inside deets about it!"

That might actually be kinda useful...

"Four eyes no-"

"-I'll do it." I take my ring off and pass it to Levi for safekeeping.

"(y/n) no." Levi hisses out as he holds me and I look up at him. "Who knows what's going to happen to you!"

"Levi, I'll be fine. You and Hanji are with me. The two best people I trust." I grin at Levi as he frowns at me, trying to quell the fear in his eyes and trying to shove my own deep down.

"Great! (y/n) do your thing!" Hanji squeals out, a clipboard in her hands as she bounces a few feet away from me.

"I'll be fine Levi." he gently lets me go, taking a few steps back but being closer to me than Hanji.

Ok. Let's try and do this.

I take in a deep breath, fisting my hands. I close my eyes, squeezing my hands for something to happen but nothing. "I don't know how to do this." I sigh out, looking up to see Hanji slightly disappointed.

"Think of something that makes you angry! Or sad!" I look over at Levi and his frown deepens before I close my eyes. My mind wanders to Levi, everyone he loved slipping from his fingers as they died one by one. Sasha, Hanji, Erwin, Kenny, his mother.

Oh his mother.

I don't realise the tears falling down my face as I remembered Levi growing old with Gabi and Falco looking after him. The pain and anguish of being left behind and being alone for so long.

"(y/n)!" I hear someone call out for me as I snap my eyes open, my vision a bright red as I cried. I hear the sizzling sounds of my tears dripping and steaming onto my hands as red lightning streaks bled through my skin like veins. They burned a bright red, almost feeling like they were splitting me apart and I look up to see two humans stand before me with different facial expressions.

The onyx hair man looked at me with frightened steel eyes as the brown-haired woman had a giddy look to her face. "It worked!"

"Why is she crying!? Hanji why is she crying!?" The man called out to the woman.

"Levi..." I mumbled out, the name spilling from my lips as my heart ached.

"I'm right here (y/n), I'm right here." I ignore the dark-haired man, my focus on Levi as he sat in the wheelchair in front of me, a sad smile on his face as he looked at the photo in his hands. He had grown old, his hair greyed over and his eyes weary with fatigue.

"Levi." I stumble forward towards him. "I'm so sorry. I couldn't help you..." I whimpered, looking over his scarred face and his injured body. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop your pain. I promised I would stop it. I promised I would." I cried, falling to my knees. "Please, I'm so sorry." I try to reach for him, watching as he aged back, watching every scene of him being in pain and witnessing people around him die. "I'm sorry!" I scream out as he looked at me, a random Marleyan behind him with a wicked smile on their blurred face. "Don't hurt him! Please!" I yell out, eyes wide as they rip his head off.

I howl out, slamming my hands on the ground as it cracked, raging burning within me. 

"They hurt your beloved."

"Hanji!" I screech out, my body bursting with lightning as it crackled. "Don't hurt them!" I yell out as Eren burns Hanji alive in the Rumbling.

"They burned your family."

I cry out as I see Gabi shoot Sasha, her stumbling back from the bullet wound. "No!" I growl out, slowly standing up in a hunched form from exhaustion.

"They killed your friends."

"They deserve to die." I growl lowly distortedly, eyes burning red as Ymir commanded me to burn the Marleyans while standing next to me.

"You are mine Guardian Titan, do as I say and they won't hurt them anymore."

I hiss out, lightning spilling from my mouth as I set the ground on fire, the Marleyan soldiers around me ready to kill off the rest of the cadets. "(Y/N)!" I ignore the voices behind me, burning the ground beneath my feet as the red clouds circled above me.

"Do as I say and free me. Free me and I will help you."

"Guardian Titan!" I whip my head around, staring at the onyx-haired man reach out for me but hiss from the heat. "Hanji! We need to stop her! She's burning away!"

"(y/n)! Come back to us! We're ok!" The brown haired-woman calls out but I ignore her.

"(y/n) please! I'm right here! No one is hurting me!" I blink, the man yelling over and over that he was Levi. "I'm right here (y/n)! I'm not going anywhere!" He yells out, and my vision flickers.

"L-Levi?" He was standing in front of me, begging me to come back. "You're ok?" I mutter out and I hiss in pain, looking down at my body that was aflame. I shriek out, the red from my eyes disappearing and I scream as I slowly melt away. "Levi! It hurts!" I cry out, the lightning disappearing but the streaks in my body was burning me alive. "Make it stop!"

"(y/n)!" Levi grunts in pain as he wraps his cloak around me, quickly grabbing me and running to HQ. I cry and scream, curling into a ball in his arms as he hisses in pain. I don't know where I'm going, all I could hear was something being kicked open before cold water was raining down on me.

I howled in pain, fighting against Levi to let me go but he held me still against the wall. "Stop Levi! It hurts! Stop it!" I hiss out, coughing against the clouds of steam that billowed out from my body.

"It will stop (y/n) just wait." Levi grits his teeth and I slowly simper to pained whines as my body cools down. I breathe out heavily, looking at my shaking hands to see the lightning slowly disappear and Levi keeps hold of me as my legs almost give out beneath me. I hear him breathe raggedly above me and I look up at him to see tears falling down his cheeks along with the cold water.

"L-Levi." I mumble out, looking down to see his hands still holding me tightly but they were a bright red. "Y-your hands." I whimper softly, trying to shove him off me. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I keep hurting you-" my cries get silenced as Levi slams his lips against mine, holding me tight as I gripped his shirt. I whimper sadly against his lips and Levi steps closer to pin me back against the wall, his lips feverishly kissing mine. I could taste the salty tears as Levi kissed me deeply and almost painfully like I would disappear from him. I gasp in surprise as his grip on my waist tightens, nails pricking my skin and he uses that as an advantage to plunge his tongue past my lips.

I breathe out through my nose, Levi swallowing my moans as he grips my chin up to keep me in place. The water raining down on us doesn't feel cold anymore as our hearts beat rapidly in sync and our bodies keeping us warm. Levi leans back hesitantly, panting against my lips as he kept his eyes shut.

"Levi?" I mutter out, worried about hurting him.

"I thought I was going to lose you." He opens his eyes and notices the puffiness and the dull look in his eyes. "What happened to you (y/n)?" Levi whispers out and I let out a shaky sigh.

"I...I don't know." I stutter out, remembering the vengeful look in Ymir's eyes from being a slave to people, the fury and the eagerness for revenge for her freedom. "I can't lose you." I cry softly, mind warping from the deaths that I witnessed.

"You won't lose me." Levi hugs me tightly and I grip his shirt tightly suddenly feeling exhausted. "Shit-" Levi suddenly catches me as I lose my footing and carries me out of the shower to seat me against the bathtub. "Don't fall asleep, we need to get dry." I nod tiredly and quickly get dry wearing some of Levi's spare clothes after striping from the wet ones as he changed in his bedroom. I walk out and blush seeing Levi only wearing pants, pulling me to bed once he sees me.

"Thank you Levi." I mumble tiredly, slowly nodding to sleep and I feel something press against my head.
