I yawn out as I walked down the hallways, absolutely bored out of my mind. Levi was busy training the cadets and I was just slacking off as usual. I walked outside, heading towards the barns to see (h/n) since I was in the mood for a ride.

"Hey boy." I chuckle, rubbing (h/n)'s muzzle as he huffs at me, bumping my head softly. "I missed you too." I grin petting him furiously as he neighs happily. "Let's go for a ride. What do you say?" (H/n) backs away from my hands suddenly and I furrow my brows at the sudden change of mood.

That's strange.

He would've jumped out of his stall by now.

"Hey what's wrong?" (H/n) shakes his head and moves back, looking down at a pile of hay that was shifted to the corner of his stall. "The fuck?" The small pile moved and I hear a little squeak coming from beneath it. "What have you been hiding?" (H/n) looks away from me and I kneel down to move the hay.

Holy shit.

"You poor baby!" I coo softly as the head of a tiny black kitten looks up at me sadly, meowing. "How did you get here?" I whisper, leaning my hand down to let it sniff me before I pet it. The kitten licked my fingers and meowed and I moved my hand to gently pet it. It whines softly and leaned up into my hand and I carefully picked it up. (H/n) huffs at me and I look at him. "I'm not going to hurt the sweet pea. Calm your hooves." I walked out of the barn with (h/n) following me as I cradled the kitten and pet it.

So cute!

"Stay here. You know you can't come inside." (H/n) whines as I enter HQ, walking straight for the kitchen. "What can I feed you?" The kitten gently nibbles on my finger as I enter the kitchen, getting some bowls and different foods. We didn't have much in variety but I was gonna make little portions of everything to see what the kitten liked.

The different bowls had milk, water, tuna, mashed potatoes and peas and small pieces of spam. "Dang, you must really be hungry." As soon as I set the kitten down, it ran straight for the food and ate everything. I let it eat, wondering what I should do with it.

I don't think Levi would be happy about an animal prancing around HQ.

But I can't leave it outside. It's just a baby!

Maybe I can get someone else to look after it?

I don't trust the boys, they barely know how to look after themselves.

But I think the girls would be too busy with training.

I sigh out and look down to see the cat sitting while staring up at me with its big steel eyes. "Don't look at me like that." I frown, leaning closer to pet it. It starts purring and it crawls into my lap. It headbutts my stomach, wanting to be wrapped up in my warmth and I coo softly at how cute it was. "I guess I can look after you. But I have to hide you in my room away from Levi." I mumble quietly, holding the kitten while putting the dishes in the sink. I walked off towards my room, letting the kitten crawl all over me until it sat perched on my shoulder.

"(Y/n)!"

Oh shit!

I try to hide the kitten but I hear a loud gasp as Hanji walks over to me. "IS THAT A KITTEN!?" She squeals out, moving closer to pet it but yelps back as the kitten hisses and swipes its paws at her. "You're a feisty little thing! Like short stack!"

"Don't tell him! I can't leave this baby outside! It won't survive!" Hanji quickly nods.

"Agreed! Your boyfriend would kick that thing out the minute we tell him!"

"He's not my boyfriend!" I shriek out and Hanji tsks.

"No need to lie. Your secret is safe with me!" She grins and I sigh out.

"I have to hide it in my room. I can't let it wander off where Levi can see it."

"I can help you look after it but I don't think it likes me." Hanji pouts as the kitten hisses at her. "I can bring you food for the kitten while you look after it in your room!"

"And what about Levi? He's going to get suspicious."

"Just tell him you got really sick or something. That's sure to keep him away if he doesn't want to catch it again and act like a baby." Hanji grins evilly and I nod.

"Good idea!"

"(Y/n)." I freeze up when I hear the one person I didn't want to find me. I quickly hide the kitten and run off to my room as Hanji stops Levi from coming after me.

It's been a few days now since I've been looking after the kitten and let me tell you, he's a fucking ass. Yes, it's a he and I named him Rivaille after Levi since he has a grumpy attitude just like him. The little shit thinks he owns everything.

Levi has been visiting me every now and then to ask me how I'm doing or to drop off food for me at my bedroom door. I had to make sure to keep the door lock but I was surprised he hadn't kicked it down yet.

Rivaille was mostly a quiet cat but he would randomly leave my bedroom sometimes cause he's bored and curious like any other young kittens. Today was one of those days and I was panicking on trying to find the little shit.

"Where the fuck are you!?" I hiss out quietly, trying to find the small black cat.

I love the little thing and all but seriously, it's going to get me in trouble!

"The fuck are you doing in my room you rat!?" I jump and look up to see Levi's door wide open, gasping as I see Rivaille just sitting in the middle of Levi's office was he was scowling at it.

Oh for the love of God.

I sigh out and walk into Levi's room, his face quickly lighting up as soon as he saw me. "(Y/n)! How are you feeling?"

"Much better-" Rivaille gets up and purrs against my legs, rubbing against me. Levi raises a brow at me and I chuckle nervously as I picked up Rivaille. He meows softly and leans his face against mine as I stared wide-eyed at Levi.

"That cat oddly likes you a lot unless you have been feeding this little shit." Levi stares at me and Rivaille hisses at him.

"I might have fed him... a couple of times." I shrug and Levi sighs out.

"You know we can't have pets in here-"

"-(y/n)!? Rivaille is missing! I think he escaped your room-" Hanji gasps out as she barges into Levi's room and I glare at her. "Uh-" Hanji shrieks as soon as she sees me and Levi, quickly running away to not get in trouble.

Damn you and your big mouth Hanji!

I slowly turn around and I see Levi narrowing his eyes at me. "Explain. Now."

"I-uh, may have lied about being sick the past few days." I wince as Levi grips the bridge of his nose and sighing out. "I was looking after Rivaille this entire time."

"(Y/n), animals are not allowed!"

"I know but he's a baby! I couldn't let him starve outside." I coo softly at Rivaille as he licks my finger.

"That is a disgusting animal that sheds, shits and pisses wherever the fuck it goes!" Levi growls out and walks towards me to grab Rivaille but he hisses and claws at Levi.

"Levi no!" He quickly grabs Rivaille by the scruff of his neck and lifts him from my arms before dropping him outside his window. "How could you!" I gasp out and Levi quickly goes to wash his hands. I run towards the window and look out to see Rivaille gone.

What?

I hear a tiny meow and I snap my head towards the doorway to see Rivaille standing there. "Bebe!" he runs towards me and I pick him up in my arms.

"The fuck!? Levi walks out of his bathroom and glares at the cat in my arms.

"Levi, please let me keep him!" I whine out and he sighs.

"Don't let it in my room ever and take a shower after interacting with it before you come to see me. I don't want cat fur all over my bedroom!"

"Yes!" I leap forward and kiss Levi's cheeks as he blushes pink. "Hear that Rivaille, you can stay!"

"You named that shit after me!?" Levi frowns slightly and I chuckled.

"Of course! He reminded me of you. He's like a cat version of you." Rivaille suddenly leaps out from my arm and walks out of Levi's room. "Awe, he's done with pets." I suddenly get shoved into Levi's bathroom and I face him.

"Take a shower and come cuddle with me. I haven't seen you for days." I gasp at my suddenly soft boyfriend as Levi quickly kisses my cheek and closes the bathroom door.
