"Oh,  I hate this so much-Fuck!" I hiss out in pain as I collide my hip against the edge of something sharp while trying to navigate my way out of Levi's bedroom. I lower myself, as If being smaller would help me find the door and I walk slowly with my arms out and touching things until I found the doorknob. "Levi?" I ask out, blinking slightly at the splotch of a faint orangy-yellowish glow in my line of vision besides the usual grey and black.

"(y/n)?" I hear Levi and I expect that he's at his table but I hear the chair scrape against the floor quickly before the light steps walked towards me.

"What time is it?" I yawn out, feeling Levi hold my hand and my racing heart immediately calms down knowing he was near me.

"It's past 3 in the morning. What the fuck are you doing up?"

"I could ask you the same thing you insomniac!" I hear Levi tsk and he moves to lead me back to his bed. I've been staying in his room for the last couple of weeks as my vision slowly started getting better. I could see faint colour and it wasn't as blurry as before but it was progressing. Something I never thought would happen. Close up in bright light, I can sometimes see Levi's smile, well the corner of his mouth twitching upwards whenever he was amused or annoyed.

I never knew how much I missed seeing his smile or his face, or anyone's face in fact.

Levi didn't want me out of his sight in case I accidentally kill myself in my bedroom. Well, considering I'm still bumping into things, I wouldn't be surprised. Levi has been oddly soft and caring towards me, being patient with me and non-stop on my ass for doing things without him by my side. I needed him holding my hand to guide me and even then I was still unsure of my surroundings.

But that doesn't mean I don't feel guilty, like an extra burden on his shoulders. "You need to sleep." Levi sets me down back in his bed and I reach out for him. I feel his hand grab mine and I know he's standing in front of me.

"So do you. I know you only need like 3 hours sleep a day but that's going to bite you back in the ass later in the future."

"And to think I'm the one looking after you." Levi lets out a scoff and I smile.

"Thank you for looking after me."

Levi stays quiet for a bit and I get worried that something had happened. "You're welcome." Levi's voice was suddenly soft and I tug his arm.

"Just sleep. Get some proper rest. Please." I hear him sigh out and I keep tugging his shirt.

"Ok fine. I'm letting go now ok." I nod and settle myself in the blanket as Levi changes out of his uniform. The bed dips next to me and I turn around to hopefully face Levi. "Now go to sleep brat." I nod and close my eyes, feeling safe with someone next to me.

As I started dosing off, I felt a hand hold mine that laid in front of me, our fingers threading together softly. "Goodnight (y/n)..."

I sigh out from the inviting warmth, nestling against the hand that softly brushed my hair away from my face. I felt someone lean their forehead on mine, holding my hand they held in theirs up to their chest and I blush at the loving nature of how gently this person was holding me. Their fingers were entwined with mine, their thumb brushing the back of my hand softly.

Levi?

"How's my precious bean-OH HO HO WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE!?" I jump in fright when the door slams open behind me, the sudden warmth disappearing as soon as Hanji barged into the bedroom unannounced.

"What the fuck do you want shitty glasses?" Levi sneers out and I just try going back to sleep.

"Looks like I ruined some cute Levi and (y/n) time!"

"I was just trying to wake up the brat."

"Sure you are!" I turn around and see a blurry Hanji standing by the doorway. Well, I think it's her. A couple more weeks has gone by and now I can see things, only if they are close up. So I'm short-sighted at the moment. "I just happen to see you cuddling up with her as soon as I get in! Explain that!" Hanji goes off and I look over at Levi to see him roll his eyes.

Ever since the first night where I asked Levi to sleep beside me, he made me feel so safe that now I can't sleep without him. I think it's the same for him. On rare occasions that I wake up earlier than him, I see Levi sleeping peacefully next to me. Like actually getting proper sleep. He looks so free of burdens and I'm glad he's not getting any more nightmares.

"Get out of here shitty glasses."

"Nope! I haven't seen my child in WEEKS! I want to spend time with her!" I yelp in surprise as I get yanked from my bedroom, Hanji squishing me in her arms as she hugs me. "I got some cool experiments I want you to try!"

"No Hanji. You are not doing some crazy lab test on (y/n)." Levi growls out lowly as Hanji slowly backs away with me in her arms. "Don't you dare."

Hanji looks back at the office door and looks back at Levi with a grin. "YOINK!" and Hanji literally steals me from Levi's bedroom.

What am I? Some plaything?

I sigh and let Hanji carry me back to her lab, quickly locking the door before Levi could get in. "Now you sit here and be cute."

"Ok." I shrug and let Hanji do her thing, bringing out various needles, beakers, test tubes and multicoloured liquid.

Now I'm worried.

"What is all this?"

"Oh! That's not for you!" Hanji grins at me before rummaging through her messy lab. "This is!"

"What is it?" I look at the normal looking orange liquid in the test tube that Hanji passes to me.

"I've been working on how to get your sight back! As far fetched as the goal was, I think I did it!" Hanji beams at me, hope in her eyes as I look at the test tube

"Hanji, I don't know if this is going to work. Medicine or any type of healing material doesn't work instantaneously. Even for tians." I sigh out but notice the sad look on Hanji's face as she pouts. "Ok fine, I'll try it." I look at the liquid and hesitantly bring the tube up to my lips, downing the liquid in one go.

Huh, it's sweet.

"Anything!?" Hanji squeals out, jumping from anticipation as I blink and look around but everything was still blurry and slightly foggy.

"Captain, have you seen (y/n)? We have our medals to receive from Queen-"

"-Mikasa?" I blink rapidly, rubbing my eyes when I notice everything starting to get clearer. She was on the other side of Hanji's lab, standing by the doorway in her scout's cloak and her iconic red scarf which I noticed was fraying a bit at the end. I could see Hanji's papers scattered all over her table of different experiments she was trying or about titan theories and different coloured liquid spills on the floor. There was also random kitchen utensils thrown about haphazardly with a sprinkle of clothes here and there.

Levi would have a heart attack seeing this.

"(y/n), you can see me?" Mikasa gasps and I nod.

"I can! Hanji, whatever magic shit you pulled-" I grab Hanji's face and kiss her cheek as she hugs me tightly. "-I love you, you crazed psychopath!" I run out of Hanji's lab, hooting in joy as I could see peoples confused and annoyed faces. I quickly round a corner and I see a furious Levi until he spots me running full speed. "Levi! I can see you!" I squeal out and glomp him, almost scaring the daylights out of him.

"You what?" Levi sets me down and takes a step back as he looked at me with wide eyes.

"I can see Jean and Armin just down the hall! I can see a bird sitting on that tree outside too!" I point out, jumping about in happiness and I turn back around to see Levi smiling softly. I blush at how cute and warm his smile was as he let out a chuckle.

"It's great to see you act like yourself again. Now I can kick you out of my bedroom." Levi retorts and I pout at him.

"You're really gonna leave me out on the streets already? Even after everything that happened?" I poke Levi's arm playfully. "You're a mean one, Mr Ackerman." Levi rolls his eyes, still smiling.

"You can go back to your own bedroom and I won't have to clean up after you anymore. My office will be finally clean."

"You and your clean OCD man."

"Now hurry up and go get dressed. You're getting a medal remember." Levi soon walks off but turns to look over over his shoulder. "And I'm not actually kicking you out. You can come to my office whenever you want."

"Great! I'll make sure to bring tea to bribe you!"
