I sigh as I sit down on the couch in front of the coffee table that the needle with the spinal fluid sat on. Levi was sitting down next to me along with Hanji, Erwin and Pixis for a meeting with Dhalis after we talked with Sadies.

"Looks like I'm late. Sorry." Dhalis smiles at me gently, sitting down on a royal looking chair opposite of me. "Were you able to establish what's in the container?"

"It's spinal fluid but I don't know where or how they get this fluid." I mutter out, looking at the liquid.

Is this fluid from the spine or from the brain? Or am I just dumb?

"Unfortunately, with our technology, I'm afraid we can't dig deeper. It vaporises when exposed to air."

"Like the titans I suppose." I mutter out and Hanji nods in agreement.

"This makes further analysis virtually impossible to perform."

"The people that made this is eons ahead of their time compared to you guys. They have technology developed for many things. I'm afraid you guys are still stuck in the prehistoric state." I explain and Dhalis nods.

"I can't imagine how the Reiss family managed to do it."

"They must have stockpiled some serums when their ancestors got here."

"You have a point (y/n)." Pixis nods at me. "In that case, rather than tamper with it, we should put it to use for our current objective."

"But to whom do we entrust it (y/n)?" Dhalis asks me and I turn to Levi.

"Levi. As the story goes. He is supposed to look after the syringe." Levi sighs out and looks at Erwin.

"I have to ask you Erwin, if this dream of yours comes true, what will you do then?" I watch the exchange between Levi and Erwin.

"I don't know. I won't. Not until we see what happens."

"I see. Alright, I'll do it." Dhalis and Pixis goes off talking as I pick up the box and close it, passing it to Levi. Hanji, Levi and I walk out of the meeting room to let the others talk for whatever meeting they have next. "Brat-"

"-can you cut my hair Levi." I hear Hanji cry behind me once that sentence left my lips.

"No! Why!? Your hair is beautiful as it is! Don't cut it!"

"What do you want me to do?" Levi asks and I'm even surprised he's ok with the request.

"You cut your own hair right?" Levi nods. "Can you just cut mine shorter. It's getting annoying looking after this long thing." I gasp out when Hanji suddenly pulls my head to her chest, almost suffocating me.

"NO! DON'T CUT IT!" I try to get off Hanji but she holds me down while wailing out.

"Hanji! Come on! Let me go!" I wheeze out when I get ripped from her hands and Levi quickly tugs me down the hallway and into his office. He locks the door as soon as Hanji tries to barge in but we just hear a painful thud and her complaining about her ass.

"How short do you want it?"

"I'm surprised you're even going along with this, seeing as you really care about cleanliness." I chuckle and Levi rolls his eyes.

"As long as you're not making a mess of it. Now, how short."

"Probably up to my shoulders. I don't want anyone to use it as leverage if I'm fighting someone." I sit down on a chair and Levi walks up to me, lifting a few locks of my hair.

"You can always tie it up if that's the issue. I don't see a reason to cut it." I look up at Levi in surprise, wondering if he just complimented my hair.

"You don't want me to cut it?" Levi drops his hand and goes to his bathroom.

"I don't care what you do. I'm just saying." Levi mumbles out from his bathroom and I feel my cheeks heat up. He comes back with a comb and a scissor. "Now pick before I change my mind to cutting your hair."

"Cut it." I blurt out and Levi raises a brow at me.

"Ok." He soon gets to work, draping a cloth over my shoulders and standing behind me. He runs his fingers and the comb through my hair, shudders going down my back from how nice it felt.

He's really gentle.

I hum out as he combs through my hair until he stops and starts cutting. I feel the weight decrease a little and my hair finally felt lightweight. Some time passes by and I open my eyes to see Levi take the cloth off me.

"Can I take a look?" Levi nods, not looking up at me as he quickly gets a broom to clean up the floor. I run over to the bathroom, grinning at my now shorter hair. It framed my face nicely and Levi even managed to give me layers. "Holy shit Levi. You're really good! If running a tea shop in the future isn't enough for you, you could always open a salon. Though I don't think you would like the mess."

"How did you know I wanted to open a tea shop." I walk back out, grinning at him and he shakes his head. "Nevermind."

"Thanks for the haircut Levi. It looks amazing. I love it." Levi looks up from sweeping and I see his eyes turn a little soft as he smiles at me.

"Short hair suits you nicely just as well as your long hair." I blush slightly, moving my hair behind my ears.

"Hey, let me help you clean. As a thanks."

"Fine. Just don't spill anything."

"OMG YOUR HAIR!" As soon as I walked into the meeting room with Levi, Hanji glomped me and started crying again. "I love it but I also loved your long hair! It looks so good on you!" I huff out as I pry Hanji off me.

"Thanks, Hanji. Levi is really good with the scissors. I was actually about to ask him to give me an undercut like his but I just went with the short hair." Hanji prances off to her seat and I sit down on a seat with both Levi's squad and Hanjis squad. It's been a while since I've seen the Levi squad.

"Were you planning to change your whole appearance to look exactly like Levi and slowly take over his life then slowly rank up to a position of power acting as Levi to take over the government and then the world!?" I look at Hanji like she was crazy as Levi sits down next to me. "No? Just me? Ok."

"Now that we are all here." Erwin starts and he looks at me.

"Yes. Erens father, Grisha is a human from outside the walls. He comes from another country."

"So there is a whole other place of human beings other than us." Hanji mumbles out, suddenly getting serious.

"Yes. He also had the power of the Founding titan which he stole and had Eren eat him to get that power." I explain and I sit back as the rest continues to speak about Grisha being supporting of humans staying within the walls. I was suddenly feeling exhausted, watching the sunset through the windows behind Erwin as I laid my head on Hanji's shoulder.

"The final preparations are now complete. Operation Retake Wall Maria begins in 2 days. I'll leave it to you to alert your squads." The meeting finally come to an end and the squad leaders decide to let the cadets eat meat before going for a mission. I follow Hanji and the others out, looking at Levi as he nods at me one last time before closing the door and speaking to Erwin alone.

"So how is it going with you and shorty!? I see you guys are being all buddy buddy!" Hanji squeals as she jumps on me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"Jesus Hanji. One minute, you're all serious and the next you're a crazed scientist! You're going to give me a whiplash!" I sigh out and Hanji's glasses just glints mischievously.

"You're dodging the question my sweet child! I see Levi is growing a soft spot for you!" She screams, jumping up and down and I facepalm.

"He's just looking after me like any other cadet."

"No way! He treats the cadets like children but he talks casually with you!"

"Maybe that's because I don't use titles?"

"That's true!" We walk in silence for a bit, heading towards the messhal when Hanji speaks up again. "Say, how old are you?"

"Wait? I never told you my age?" Hanji shakes her head no.

I thought I did?

"Oh, well, I'm turning 21 actually." Hanji suddenly freezes and looks at me with wide eyes.

"No. Fucking. Way."

Holy shit she swore!

"You're older than the cadets!?"

"Uh, yeah? Why?"

"You look like a precious bean just like them! No way you're older! I'm practically your older sister by 7 years! How cool is that!"

Hanji as an older sister? Imagine the chaos.

"Do I really look that young?" I snicker and Hanji nods her head furiously.

"You have to tell me your secrets!"

"I don't have any. I just look like a child."
