I sigh out as I gripped the stair railings tightly, walking down the stairs slowly until I reached the kitchen area where everyone was cleaning or cooking. We all were camped out in a small but cute abandoned house, in hiding from the government and the MP's. Ever since we were heading back to headquarters from Erens rescue mission, the MP's had declared us enemies to the government and were on the hunt for us. Specifically for me, Eren and Historia.

They must have caught whiff of us but obviously, it's part of the story.

"(Y/n)! You should be resting!" Historia exclaims as soon as she spots me while setting down firewood, frowning at my pale complexion and weak steps.

"I got bored staying upstairs." I've been in there the entire two days we've been here.

Plus my ass hurts from sitting all day.

"I don't care. Get back up there missy!" Historia frowns at me as Eren helped me sit down on a stool.

"Nah. It's more fun down here. I heard and Eren and Jean fighting again." Jean rolls his eyes as Armin complains to Mikasa about resting.

"Don't bother. I saw her doing sit-ups this morning." I chuckle lightly, flinching from the aches in my body. My body hasn't recovered properly yet since the rescue mission and since I used my power twice, it was taking a huge toll on healing.

"Funny. Almost feels like we're at the cadet core doesn't it?" Sasha mumbles out.

"Chaos. Makes you wonder why they chose us for the new Levi squad." Armin replies back as I play with the new change of clothes. I was dressed in a loose shirt and long skirt. It was much more breathable than the tight uniform at least.

"I asked Erwin to cause the story has to continue..." I sigh out, leaning my head back to crack my neck and everyone looks at me with wide eyes. "Don't look so shocked. You all know by now." I sigh out, remembering back to everyone's pale faces when Levi asked me to tell them that I wasn't from here. They all swore to secrecy or Levi was going to punish them.

"Yeah but protecting Eren, you and Historia is such an important mission."

"Cause we're all so talented I assume." I look over at Sasha with tired eyes.

"Don't even try Sasha. Give me." Sasha pouts as she passes me the bread she was about to steal and I give it to Connie. "You better not eat it too." Connie smiles embarrassingly at me as I just grin at him.

"Hey, can we focus here! We gotta finish cleaning here before the captain gets back!"

"What's all the commotion?" I look up to see Levi walk through the door and I raise a brow at the suit he was wearing.

"Well damn son. Levi, you're looking real good in that suit." I grin at him as I give him an ok sign and he raises a brow at me as everyone shuts up.

"I can't believe she just said that." Connie gasps out.

"What? It's true."

"You look like absolute shit." Levi mutters out and I swear I saw a tinge of pink on his cheeks as he walked up to me. He placed a hand on my forehead and frowned. "And you feel fucking cold. Damnit brat you should be upstairs."

"I'm fine." I swat Levi's warm hand off, trying to control the blush on my cheeks.

"Sure you are. You look like you were born from a fucking rat of a raccoon with those dark bags." Levi rolls his eyes, voice dripping with sarcasm and I gape at him as my jaw drops.

"Shit Levi. Didn't expect that from you." I chuckle softly as he checks for dust under the table.

"I'm quite certain I gave you enough time." Everyone looks at Levi anxiously and he sighs out. "Nevermind. We can discuss your utter failings at a later date. Eren," the said boy looks up, taking his white mask off and setting the broom down. "Hanji is quite anxious to get the experiments underway."

"Uh, right! Yes sir!"

Levi turns to me as Eren runs out. "You're coming too." I nod and Jean helps me down from the stool, catching me as my feet wobbled.

"Wait, are you sure you can even walk (y/n)?" I nod.

"Yeah. Just got pins and needles from sitting down for too long." Jean reluctantly lets me go to follow Eren and I walk with Levi outside to see the two boys get on a horse each and ride off. "Are we not following him?" I ask when I realise Levi stopped at the barn to pet Midnight.

"You're learning to ride a horse." I freeze, turning to Levi and gulping.

"Do I have to?" Levi turns to me with a brow raised.

"I can't keep carrying you everywhere so yes. Now go pick a horse."

Pick a horse? Like a damn car!?

I look around at the stables and sigh out, trying to figure out which horse to pick. "Hurry up. We don't have the whole damn day." I hear Levi outside and I rush down the sides of the stable. I suddenly freeze when I see this beautiful (f/c) male horse, peering over at me with its long lashes.

It nuzzles against my hair and I chuckle as it huffs at me. "Well, I found just the horse huh. You're going to take it easy on me are you?" The horse tilts its head as I open the door for him to get out. "Do you have a name?" The horse shakes its head no and it follows me out, nudging my back.

"And you had to pick the tallest horse huh? How are you going to get on it?" Levi smirks lightly and I chuckle when he jumps back when the male horse flicks his tail at his face. "You little shit." The male horse trots back to me as Levi goes to grab a saddle.

"So what should I name you?" the horse neighs and dances around me, bumping my back. "Damn, it's like no one has taken you out for a ride in a long while." He bumps my head and I wince at the impact. "Hey, chill."

"Put this on him." Levi suddenly appears next to me with a saddle. "If you can." I grab the saddle and the horse suddenly starts jumping up and down around me.

"Ok calm down boy. Let me put this on you ok." the horse calms down and bows low enough to let me put the saddle on. Levi teaches me how to secure it and I follow his steps.

"Ok now get on." I hesitate, putting my left leg on the stirrup. I look over at Levi as he watched me, waiting.

"Don't look at me. I'm not going to be able to get on." Levi huffs out and raises his arms up to turn around. I breathe out and push myself up as much as I could but I fall back down on the ground. My horse huffs at me and lowers more and I try to push myself onto his back.

"Jesus fuck!" I huff in embarrassment as I cling onto the horse and I hear Levi tch behind me.

"You really can't do anything can you." Levi mutters out and leans down, suddenly picking me up bridal style to set me down on the horse.

"U-uh, thanks..." I stutter, shifting so I could place my feet in the stirrups. "Whoa!" the horse suddenly stands up straight and I grip the reins tightly, my heart sinking to my stomach and jumping back up. "This is amazing!" I look around to see everything higher and clearer.

"You really are easily amazed." Levi's horse trots next to me, Midnight nuzzling my horse affectionately.

"Hold up. Are you two together!?" I exclaim at the horses and they nod at me. "Well damn. Even horses are in relationships and there's me. Single since birth." I sigh out in exasperation, throwing a random peace sign.

"Ok enough chit chat." Levi mutters out. "Are you ready?"

"I guess. You ready (h/n)?" my horse neighs happily at the random name I chose and Levi tells me what to say to get him to move. I screech out in surprise when (h/n) bolts off in a run across the large field. "Hey! Slow down!" I scream as he bolts through the trees, the branches wacking my face. "(h/n)! Please!" he slows down and I breathe out, my heart racing in my chest as my stomach churned uneasily. I lay my head on (h/n), taking in deep breathes to calm the queasy feeling in my stomach. "Jeez, you need to let me get used to riding you first." (h/n) whines at me and bows his head like he was sorry. "It's ok. I know you're excited but can we go slow at first?" He nods and starts walking, letting me adjust to riding a horse for the first time.
