Thyra kicked Sigrtyggrs legs out from under him, held him down by his shoulders and ignored his begging. "Thyra, please, just think what would your father say," he begged his voice full of fear.
"Quiet, before I cut your tongue from your mouth," Brida snarled, she looked to Stiorra. "This is the man you married, he is weak, nothing but a cowardly dog." Thyra dug her fingers into his shoulders. Brida cut Thyras cheek but she did not flinch or make a sound, she wiped the blood on her fingers and marked Sigrtyggrs forehead, "I bless you with the blood of my enemy," Thyra stole a glance from Rognvaldr, he held Stiorra tight a knife to her neck and offered a smile before she turned her glance back to Brida.
"I will make you pay for this," Sigtryggr said, Thyra huffed a laugh, she hauled her knife from her side and sliced his back.
"You disrespect me and she will answer you," Brida said. The snow began to fall again and coat the land, it cloaked the already shivering figures.
"Don't be a fool and join us," Thyra growled.
"Never!" he exclaimed, "she may have gotten into your head but I refuse to let her into mine."
"Then I guess you will die," she threw Sigtriggr down onto the ground. "He's all yours," she spat. All eyes were locked on Brida, they all watched in silence as she took Sigtryggrs pride and beat him. Thyra smiled all the while.
"You're a monster!" Stiorra cried. Rognavaldr dug his knife into her neck nicking a vein crimson trickled down her neck, after she tormented Sigtryggr she kicked him out not before Thyra carved her symbol into him, he was forced to walk the cold land weaponless and weak. Brida locked Stiorra in a cage outside and suspended her over the courtyard. "Uhtred will never forgive you," she screamed at Brida and her sister.
"He won't have a chance once he tastes my blade," Thyra said as she sharpened her blade. The blood on her cheek was now frozen.
"He protected you, he cared for you and you repay him with this," she said trying to break her sister down. Thyra sighed and stopped.
"He abandoned me!" she growled, "you all did, stop talking otherwise I will kill you." She stood up and walked inside. She crouched before the flames and bathed in the warmth, Rognavldr joined her.
"Her words must have hurt you," he said.
"No," she replied her eyes still locked on the hearth.
"I bet you dream about making your father pay, to see your sword pierce his heart," he continued.
"What's it to you? You just betrayed your brother," she reminded him.
"I can feel the revenge drumming around in your veins," he said and now laid down next to her.
"You know nothing of revenge, Brida has told me all the stories about my father and how evil he is, someone must bring that evil to an end and it will be me," she growled as she looked her blade over.
