You Know it's Real When Clay Yells at You (Macaron)
PART FOUR- A Macaron Oneshot
Macy's POV
Aaron clapped his hands over his mouth. I stared down at my clothes, speechless.
What was I thinking? I knew Aaron wasn't well. I should have insisted that we take a break.
People were starting to point and stare. I hated that. I got enough stares and points with me being the Princess.
"Sorry," Aaron mumbled. He was pink in the face.
"It's alright," I sighed. "Let's go get cleaned up."

Aaron's POV
I moaned internally as I rinsed my mouth in the bathroom. What was I thinking? Why did I insist I was alright? Why did I suggest to eat? Why did I not just sit at a table somewhere and wait for Macy to finish riding? Why?
I doubted that she liked me before. I'm certain she doesn't like me now. I groaned out loud and pressed my forehead against the mirror. Could I take up residence in this bathroom, and never leave?
I heard footsteps outside the entrance. "Aaron?" Macy called softly. I didn't answer.
"I know you're in there."
I still didn't answer.
"Aaron Fox, come out here right now. Or I'm coming in."
I sighed and turned towards the door. I didn't want Macy to get in trouble with the ThrillSeeker security.
I guess it would be better to get this over with. Then maybe I could move into the bathroom...
Macy's POV
Aaron emerged from the bathroom. He was looking at the ground, but raised his head slightly to look at me. He caught my eye, went pink again, and looked back down.
"Hey," I said quietly. "Let's go sit down somewhere."
We moved away from the toilets and sat down on a bench with its back to the Tangled Track. We were facing a ride called Dragon Race instead. Aaron still didn't look at me.
"I'm not mad, you know," I said.
"Why ever not?" Aaron replied. "I spewed all over you." Then he mumbled something I couldn't hear.
"Sorry?" I leaned in a bit closer.
"Nothing," he murmured. Did he just go pinker?
"You weren't feeling well. You couldn't help it. How are you feeling now?"
"A lot better."
"Good. I forgive you, you know. So... um... what do you want to do now?"
"Tell you something." Aaron was still facing the floor, his ginger hair flopping in front of his eyes.
"Okay. What is it?"
"First of all," he breathed in deeply, then breathed out. "Thanks, Mace. For forgiving me. And...well... you know the thing I said just now, that you couldn't hear?"
"Yeah?"
"It was, 'Now you'll never like me.'. Because, the truth is, I have a crush on you. I've had it for a while. Almost since the start of our Knight job. I invited you to come with me to this park as a sort of date. I thought I would confess to you here, after having lots of fun together. But things didn't go exactly as I planned." He laughed and sat up properly, but still didn't look in my direction. "But I hope you had a good time, bro. I mean, sis."
I stayed silent as I took this in, my own cheeks heating up. So he liked me? All this time?
"Aaron," my voice volume had dropped again. "Look at me."
He obeyed. I cupped his face in one of my hands.
"I liked you too. I never said anything, or dropped any clues, because I was afraid that a guy as cool as you would never like a girl like me. I know you don't care that I'm a Princess, so what other attractive qualities do I have? I'm not pretty, or delicate, or sweet."
Aaron laughed softly. "Those aren't the things I look for in a girl. You're brave, caring, and actually pretty hot. That's what I look for. And that's why I like you."
And he kissed me. I kissed him back. It all felt like a dream...
But I knew it was real when we got back to the Fortrex and Clay yelled at us for disappearing off like that and skipping training.
THE END (of this oneshot)
