PART FOUR- A Clay x Macy x Kai Crossover Oneshot

Macy's POV

 "...Macy? Macy? Hey, Mace!"

I jumped a little. I had just been deep in thought, and suddenly I was pulled into the shallows.

"W-what?"

"What flavour do you want?" Kai asked. He jerked his head at the menu. 

"Oh! Um, Berry Bonanza, please," I replied hastily, reaching into my pocket to pull out the money. 

"Hey," Kai grabbed my wrist (gently). "It's on me." And he smiled in that way that got my heart hyped up.

The ice-cream lady smiled as Kai got out the money, and shook heart-shaped sprinkles all over our ice-creams. I felt my cheeks heat up, and stared resolutely in another direction until we walked away.

We sat down on a nearby bench and licked our frozen treats silently, not quite sure what to say. I slowly sank back into the pool of questions, and swam about trying to find the answer. Ten minutes later...

"Hey, Macy. You seem really distracted. What's up?"

"Hmm?" I turned to face Kai, who had finished eating already. "What makes you think that?"

"Let's see.... you looked really uncomfortable back at the Fortrex, you were silent all the way here, and you didn't seem to register my voice when I asked you a question or called your name. And you're licking an empty ice-cream cone."

"Oh," I looked at my hand and saw the soggy cone. I flushed and nibbled at it. "Well, I have got a few things on my mind."

"I can see that they're bothering you. Will you tell me what's going on?" he looked genuinely concerned.

I sighed and polished off the cone. "I wish I could, but its kind of complicated. I... don't know what to do." I sighed again. "I wish I could forget about it now and come back to it later, but I can't."

"Well," Kai smiled at me. "I know how to make you forget. And make you think about something else."

"How?" I started to ask, but before I could finish he kissed me.
