PART ONE- An alternate ending to the Clay x Macy x Kai Onseshot

Clay's POV 

"C'mon, Clay. Just come down for dinner, then you can go straight back to your room." Axl said.

I was sitting on the edge of my bed, thinking. Eventually, I came to a decision.

"Alright, I'll come. Just give me a minute."

Axl nodded, patted me on the back and left.

I stood up, then sat down. Then I stood up again, only to sit down again. I was hungry, but my nerves were stopping me.

I don't know why I felt so anxious. Macy and Kai should be the ones to feel nervous. After all, they were the ones who did the wrong thing.

I guess I just really didn't know how I was going to treat Macy. Would I give her cold glares, or just avoid looking at her at all?

Or would I tell her that she had nothing to worry about? That it was ok, really? 

But it wasn't ok. She had hurt me, and badly at that. She'd gone and kissed this guy she'd known for half a day, whereas she'd known me for half her life.

Part of me knew I was being unreasonable. After all, it's not like I had made my infatuation for Macy known. I hadn't asked her out or anything. Kai had got her... fair... and square.

But my anger and my jealousy and my misery were butting in on my better judgement. She caused you pain. She caused you suffering, they hissed. So it's only fair that you return the favour.

And with that, I stood up and left my room. 

Macy's POV

I chewed my bottom lip, fanning my face with the letter to Clay as I waited for him to come down for dinner. For the fifth time in the last couple of minutes, I glanced nervously at Kai. What if he changed his mind and decided to stay in his room after all?

But as soon as Kai and I made eye contact-

Thud. The sound of a foot hitting the bottom stair. My head whipped around, and there he was. Clay looked pointedly at almost everyone in the room before he opened that perfect mouth of his and said, in a voice half as animated as it usually was:

"Hey, guys. What's for dinner?"

He didn't look at me.
