Project: Metal Maiden 1

Shel rushed into the lab with a flustered expression. Late again. She pulled out her key-card and slid it across the scanner as she pulled on her crumpled intern lab coat.
"Sorry sorry! The TRAT was late again." She said between coughs. Her allergies were terrible in the fall. Dr. Wahles turned around. Her beautiful raven hair was tied into a loose knot held by a pencil. A blank expression stayed firm on her lips.
"It's fine. Just find me my charts." She grumbled. A curl fell to her face and she quickly pinned it up. She turned to Shel.  "Oh, and Shield, find me a coffee that isn't a latte in the place."
"Yes, Miss." Shel replied and turned sharply on her heel. She grumbled as she walked to the computer lab and waited by the printer. Wahles knew she hated to be called by her real name. Sure it was cliche, but Shel hated her name. Whoever her birth parents were, hated her.
The printer finally spot out the charts. Shel swept them up and grabbed a black coffee for Dr. Wahles from the Science Center's cafe. She jogged back to the Doctor.
"Finally! What took you so long?" Dr. Wahles asked with a scowl. She accepted the coffee and chart. The sweat was beaded on her mahogany skin as she wrenched on the metal monster in front of her.
"Sorry. The printer was almost out of ink again." Shel replied and rolled her eyes. Dr. Wahles wiped the sweat from the sweat from her face and stood. Shel stepped back a bit. The doctor placed her hands on her hips proudly.
"There," she puffed, "here she is. The first Metal Maiden."
