"Sherlock!" John greeted happily; "Where's Macy?"

"Home," Sherlock replied, seemingly untouched as he took of his coat and hung it up.

"I don't understand?" his friend asked, mildly confused; "This is her home."

"This is not her home, her home is with her mother," Sherlock stated.

"Her mother is dead!" John argued; "Where is she?" The unaffected father did a shrug of his shoulders and turned to the mirror on the wall to correct his suit.

"Sherlock! Where is she?" John asked, slightly louder.

"I don't know," Sherlock admitted; "She's not here." John stood up.

"I know you didn't want this girl, but she is your DAUGHTER, and she is staying here for the next three months, whether you want her to or not, is that understood?" he said angrily while pointing a finger at his friend, who uncomfortably shifted his weight to the other foot.

"John," he argued; "Don't raise your voice on me. Nothing will happen if I don't get her, so why should I?"

John took a deep breath that somehow seemed forced before smiling a smile that could make even a high functioning psychopath uncomfortable and possibly a little scared.

"I'm going to get Macy. And she will stay here, or god help me, neither will I!" he warned; "I promised her I would watch out for you and that I wouldn't leave you, but I also promised I'd take care of her, so you will help me find her, or I swear to go-"

"I'll help," Sherlock interrupted with a low voice.

"I'll find her," he elaborated, not a trace of emotion in his voice.

A/N so this chapter was exceptionally short! I do have an explanation though; In the document I'm writing it in, which will be the finished 'book' eventually, I decided to not actually do chapters at all, but instead divide it into 'scenes' or just shorter thingys. 

Idk I saw it in a book and really liked how it looked, but maybe it doesn't work when you have to divide it into chapters like on Wattpad. Meh.
