Tonight, the Shepherd-Aguiars are going to the neighborhood trunk or treat!

Everyone has just had dinner and they're now finishing getting into their Halloween costumes to go.

"Hey, Henry! You look so cute! But where are your shoes?" RJ asks his youngest child as he walks into the room.

"Don't know!" Henry says and looks up at RJ.

"Let's find them so we can get going!" RJ replies, starting to look around where they might be.

"Papi, ayúdame!" Oliver asks for help as he's trying to get his own shoes on.

"I'll help you, Oli. Come here." Will says as Oliver runs over to Will.

Luca: Luca from Luca, Luci: Ms. Rachel, Arya: Monkey, Oliver: Tiger, and Henry: Koala

"Sit down. Good boy." Will says as he manages to get Oliver's shoes on with him wiggling around

"Daddy, help!" Arya says to Will.

"Okay, come here. I'll help you." Will says as Arya runs over and he helps her put her shoes on.

Arya begins to make monkey noises, causing Will to laugh.

"You are a silly monkey!" Will says happily to Arya.

"I a tiger! Rrrr!" Oliver screams loudly as Arya giggles loudly.

"Luci, Luca, come on! Let's get downstairs! Papi, Daddy, Henry, Arya and Oli are waiting! We are just waiting for Harlow, Teddy, Avy, Cora and Benji.

Karen says as she walks down the steps with Luci and Luca. Luca is careful walking down while holding Karen's hand as she holds Luci.

When they reach the bottom, he's beaming with confidence in his costume.

"That looks so great, Luca! And you look nice too, Luci!" Will says as he glances over at them.

"Thank you!" Luca says with a grin.

Coralei comes to the front room where all the adults and babies are, all ready to go. Benji is behind her.

RJ finally finds Henry's shoes. "Yay! We found them." He says, and gently puts them on the baby.

Harlow comes down with her hair done beautifully, and Averie looks quite the opposite to her but the girls both love their outfits and that's what matters.

Theodore finally finds the rest of his family, aware that they're all ready and he's the last one.

Benji: Link (Breath of the Wild), Coralei: Princess Zelda, Averie: Sour Patch Kid, Theodore: Beetlejuice, and Harlow: Mirabel from Encanto

"Woah! Nana did a great job with your makeup!" RJ says to Theodore.

"Yeah! I look just like Beetlejuice!" Theodore says as begins to laugh like Beetlejuice.

"I hope that green hair dye comes out!" Will say with a slight laugh.

"It should! It's just the spray kind." Karen says to Will with a grin.

"Go!" Luci yells with a grin.

"We are going to go! Are you excited, Luci?" Will asks Luci as he kisses her.

"Ya!" Luci says as she stomps her feet and flaps her hands.

"Who's excited?" RJ asks the kids.

All of the kids cheer happily, excited for the fun night ahead.

"Will we see Brinley, Brixton, Huxton, Hadley, Fenton, Watson, Emmerly, Presley, Witten and Ainsley? Oh and their three dads!" Averie says talking about their neighbors across the street, a throuple couple David Kevin and Josh along with their ten children.

"We might! I'm not sure! I know the babies Witten and Ainsley had RSV a little while ago so they may not be out trick or treating with us." Will explains to Averie and the kids.

"It's trunk or treat!" Theodore says with playful sass.

"It's the same thing! Just cars!" Averie says with sass at her brother.

"I guess that's easier. No knocking on all those doors." Theodore says back.

"Avie! Grrrrr!" Oliver says to Averie, making his hands like paws.

"Oooh! Scary costume, Oli!" Averie giggles.

"Grrr," Henry mimics, in a different way.

"I don't think koalas growl, do they? But that's okay." RJ says and smiles.

Henry puffs his cheeks out, making his face cuter than it already looks.

"All right, is everyone ready?" Will says to the kids, who all shout in agreement.

Luci covers her ears and smiles.

"Then let's head out!" Will adds, and they all go outside with their Halloween buckets and bags.

"Stay together please. Thank you." Will says as he holds Luci's hand.

"Aaa!" Henry says, running away from everyone with RJ quickly running after him.

"Henry, stay by Papi!" RJ says as he grabs Henry's hand and brings him back to the group.

"There's the trunk or treat up there!" Will says, pointing ahead.

Benji smiles and happily takes some pictures of the decorations.

"I wanna take pictures too!" Harlow says when she notices her big brother using his iPhone for photos.

"Okay, you can take a few! Not too many." Benji hands the iPhone to Harlow and she thanks him and smiles, finding a few things to photograph.

Everyone walks up to the cars parked with open trunks. Henry stays with RJ this time. Luca walks with Harlow and Benji, talking about different cars and how they're decorated like houses on Halloween are.

Arya screams for a second, in a frightened way and not for fun.

"What's wrong, baby?" Will looks down at her with concern.

"It's scawy there!" Arya points at a car decorated with dark things and a fog machine.

"Oh, it's okay! It's not real. Those are just decorations, those aren't real." Will reassures her.

Arya hides behind Will and Will rubs her back, comforting her.

"It's okay, baby. You can walk with me and Luci." Will says as Arya nods and holds Will's other hand.

"WOAH! Look at the Freddy Krueger!" Benji says as he smiles at all of the horror film things.

"AND JASON! Woah!" Theodore says as he giggles.

"Okay, let's figure out how we are doing this. Should we go in groups or stay together?" RJ asks outloud doing a mental head count of the kids. 

"Whatever way could work! There's three adults plus Benji. But Benji might wanna walk around with some friends if they are here." Karen explains as she picks up Oliver who wanted to be held.

"Yeah, I think it's easier to stay together. And yeah, Benji could go with his friends if he sees them." RJ decides.

Arya is hesitantly walking with Will and Luci, worried she'd see more scary decorations while Oliver leans into Karen, much happier being held at the moment than if he were walking.

"Good plan," Will chimes in.

"Let's get some candy!" Luca says, getting impatient.

"Wait, do we say "trick-or-treat" or
"trunk or treat" ?" Harlow asks, slightly confused.

"Trick or treat! But you can say trunk or treat if you want!" RJ says to Harlow with a grin.

Will, RJ, Karen and the kids get their Halloween buckets and bags ready and begin to walk around!

"Let's go to this one first!" Harlow leads the way, and everyone follows.

There's a man with his car not decorated but open and with candy all around the trunk, he gives a friendly smile.

"Trick-or-treat!" The kids say at the same time.

"Twick o tweat!" Oliver, Luci and Arya say.
"Twick!" Henry says which makes everyone laugh.

The man smiles and gives each of the kids a few pieces of candy.

"Can I eat the candy now?" Luca says with a big grin.

"No, Papi, Nana and I have to check all of the candy before you guys can eat it. We have to make sure it's safe." Will explains to Luca and Luca huffs.

"Let's go onto the next car." Will says as a distraction.

Luca was still thinking about candy, but he doesn't disobey what's been told to him. At least not at the moment.

Harlow looks confused by what her dad said, and she looks at him curiously. "Why wouldn't it be safe?"

"Yeah, is there any allergies?" Theodore asks, unaware of the reason too.

"Well, sometimes candy is worked or damaged and since we don't know the people we are getting candy from we shouldn't eat it. Also, sometimes people don't have the best intentions and put things in candies so that's why we gotta check everything." Karen explains to the kids.

"Ohhh!" Theodore says to Karen.

"Makes sense." Harlow nods. She skips instead of walking as they go to a more decorated car.

"Trick-or-treat!" The kids say like a choir.

"I like your hair," Coralei adds, smiling.

"Thanks! And Happy Halloween! I love all your costumes! We have some really cute animals here, I see!" A person says with a smile. They have orange hair and are wearing all black, to be festive.

"Thank you!" Will, RJ, Karen and all of the kids say happily.

"Hello!" Josh and David both say in unison as they walk over with their eight older children Brinley, Brixton, Huxton, Hadley, Fenton, Watson, Emmerly and Presley

"Hey! It's nice to see you guys! How are the babies doing?" Will asks Josh and David.

"They are doing well! They are almost back to themselves! RSV was rough with them but thankfully none of us caught it." Josh says as he holds Presley's hand.

"Kevin is watching them back at home so we could take the other kids trunk or treating! We didn't want to take them out just yet." David says as he watches the kids walk around.

"That's a good decision. Babies take so many sicknesses harder than someone with a built up immunity." Will says, remembering being careful to not let Arya and Oliver get sick as little babies.

Brinley and Brixton have already started talking with Benji, and admiring his costume.

Emmerly listens to all the conversations at once, not saying much but happy.

"Ooh! You're a tiger!" Presley says to Oliver. "And a monkey!" She points at Arya.

Arya and Oliver make their respective animal noises and then giggle, which makes Presley giggle too.

"I'm a princess!" Emmerly says as she twirls around happily.

"Me too! I'm Anna!" Presley says with a cheeky grin.

"I'm just a princess! Princess Emmerly!" Emmerly says, making sure everyone knew she wasn't a Disney princess.

"You look great as a princess." RJ says with a smile.

Huxton swings the candy bucket around, nearly spilling some of the candy.

"Be careful with that, Huxton." David says in a warning tone.

"I know." Huxton says dramatically, stopping.

Watson makes faces at Theodore, who makes faces back and they both laugh. The kids go to the next car and get candy while Josh and RJ talk some more.

"Arya and Oliver are literally getting so big!" Josh says, keeping an eye on any kids that might try to run off.

"I know! It feels like yesterday they were newborns." RJ says fondly.

"And Henry has really grown since we saw him last! Look at him walking around!" David says with a grin.

"He's so spoiled! Youngest child problems." Will says as he picks up Luci.

"Daddy! Wook!" Luci says pointing at a ghost decoration.

"I see! You see the cute little ghost!" Will says as Luci flaps her hands in excitement.

"Ghost!" Luci says, but it sounds more like 'goat'.

"Yes! It's so cute!" Will says in acknowledgement.

Fenton and Hadley are talking and getting candy with Coralei, laughing too.

"I know, that video was so funny!" Coralei says, since they were all talking about a YouTube short they saw.

"Luci looks so healthy, too! She's thriving!" David adds.

"She is more healthy since we've had her, although she's had some scares. But she adjusts pretty well." Will tells David, giving Luci a kiss on the forehead. She smiles.

"She's a strong-willed little girl!" RJ says as Luci giggles.

Benji, Brinley and Huxton take a few selfies causing the adults to laugh.

"Kids and their selfies," Will says, amused.

"I know. Even the toddlers love taking pictures for some reason." Josh agrees.

"I think they just want to be involved or be like us." David says. RJ and Will nod.

The group walk up to another car, which this person is giving out Mexican candy.

"Woah! Papi! Daddy! Mexican candy!" Luca says getting excited.

"Oooo! I love this kind of candy!" Averie says as Harlow and Coralei nod in agreement.

"Mine as well! Abuela, Abuelo and Bisabuela all love this kind of candy!" Benji says with a big smile.

"That is so cool! It is very good, isn't it?" RJ says, and Luca nods quickly.

The kids say trick or treat and the woman gives them each a couple pieces of the candy, and they all thank her. She smiles.

As they walk to the next car, the kids are still eager about it.

"This one is my favorite kind! I love the taste!" Coralei says with a big grin.

"I like the ones that are spicy! Like the watermelon flavor!" Benji says happily.

"Well when we get home and check all of the candy you guys can each have one piece of candy." Will says, causing Benji, Coralei, Averie, Theodore, Harlow, Luca and Luci all cheer.

Arya, Oliver and Henry aren't really paying attention and are busy walking around with Karen.

"Oof!" Henry says to Karen, pointing at a dog.

"You see the dog, Henry? Aw, that dog has a costume on!" Karen says as Henry giggles.

Henry reaches out to the dog but Karen stops him.

"Don't pet any dogs without asking, okay? You never know and they might be service dogs." Karen says, and Henry he pouts but nods in understanding.

"And mo'!" Henry points to two more dogs.

"Yeah! Those dogs have costumes too That's so cute." Karen agrees.

"Pumkins!" Arya points at some jack o' lanterns.

"It had faces!" Oliver says about the same pumpkins.

"Those are jack o' lanterns! Remember Benji and his friends made some?" Will asks the little kid and they smile.

"Daddy!" Luci says pointing at a lady.

"Woah! That lady is dressed like Ms. Rachel! Just like you, Luci!" Will says in a babyfied voice.

"I saw a Blippi too!" RJ says as Luci giggles at RJ.

"That's a fun idea." Will laughs. "I bet the kids really like those costumes when their parents dress up."

"Even other kids love it! It's interesting." Josh says in agreement.

"But they're not as into Blippi anymore, are they? It's always Ms. Rachel or some other like it." RJ adds.

"Yeah, but some toddlers still enjoy Blippi! It just depends." Will replies.

Benji smiles when he sees two familiar people walk by dressed as Ken and Barbie.

Brinley, Brixton, Benji, Huxton, Hadley, Coralei, Averie, Fenton, Watson, Theodore, Harlow, Emmerly, Luca and Presley all walk over to a big truck that is decorated like a haunted house.

"I love all these decorations, they're so cool looking!" Theodore says happily.

"Your costume fits right in with it," Coralei teases her brother.

"I wonder what candy they'll have."
Harlow says curiously.

"You guys can walk over and see what kind of candy they have! It looks like they have a ton!" RJ says causing the kids to giggle.

"CANDY!" Luci, Arya and Oliver all scream happily.

"Not too loud," Will says gently, and the youngest kids calm down a bit but they're still excited.

"Yeah, let's go over there!" Harlow says, and she and the other kids go to see. RJ follows behind.

"Should we go over there too?" Will asks Luci and the twins.

"Yeah!" Arya, Oliver and Luci all say, a bit quieter.

All of the follows walk over the car and are greeted by a family with two adults and several pets, a dog and two cats all dressed up.

Henry squeals in joy at the cats and dogs, reaching out but then remembering. "Henwy pet?"

"He would like to know if can pet the animals." Will says to the adults.

"Sure! This big black dog is named Skywalker. And this littler one is Smokey." One of the adults says.

Henry pets both dogs happily, forgetting that there's candy too.

"Aww! Look at the kitties!" Harlow says as she giggles and smiles.

"This is Salem and this is Spooky!" The other adult says as she pets the cats.

"I love your costumes!" Coralei says with a smile.

"Me too!" Averie and Theodore both say in unison.

"Thanks!" The adults say together.

Salem meows and Henry giggles as her tail brushes up against his hands.

The dogs are quiet dogs and very good around kids.

"Would you like some candy?" The lady asks with a smile.

"Yes, please!" Coralei and the other kids say.

"We have lots of options so everyone can have something they like." Says the first adult, offering to let the kids choose a couple pieces themselves.

"Ooh! A ring pop!" Harlow says eagerly.

"Lollipops!" Luca says as he giggles.

"Reese's! I love the pumpkin or other shapes! They just taste better!" Averie says with a smile.

"Look, Luci! There's a Kit Kat! You love those, huh?" RJ says as Luci nods.

"Don't take all of the candy now. We have to share with others." Karen says to the kids.

Luci looks at the candy and picks up a Kit Kat, smiling softly.

Brinley takes two lollipops and Presley also grabs a ring pop.

Benji chooses a Kit Kat and a Reese's pumpkin.

The rest of the kids all choose one or two pieces, and they thank the two adults.

"You're welcome!" The couple says with big smiles.

"Look at all of those cars over there! Lots of candy over there!" Theodore says as he gets excited.

"Let's go there!" Fenton says loudly. So they all go in that direction.

This time, Oliver is scared by an unusual looking decoration next to the car. It was big and inflatable.

"It scary, Daddy." Oliver says, hiding behind Will.

"It's just make-believe. It's not real."
Will assures the toddler.

"I held." Oliver says, doing grabby hands at Will.

"I'll carry you. Come here." Will says as he picks up Oliver.

"Me too!" Arya says to Will and RJ intervenes.

"I'll carry you, Arya!" RJ says, picking up Arya and Arya hugs RJ's neck.

"Luci, come here. I'll hold you. I know you are getting tired. You walked a lot tonight! That's so good!" Karen says proudly to Luci before giving her a kiss.

Luci has gained a lot of strength in her legs since being home with Will and RJ. She'll probably gain more strength the older she gets. However, due to her cerebral palsy she can get tired easily.

"Woah woah!" Henry says as he looks at the decorations of the next house.

"Benji, can you hold Henry's hand?" Will asks Benji.

"Of course!" Benji says holding Henry's hand, causing the baby to laugh.

"Cold hand!" Henry giggles.

"My hand is cold? Really?" Benji asks in a silly voice.

"Yes!" Henry says with a grin.

And outside the next house, there was a very well decorated car with two young women standing to hand out candy. They wore matching costumes.

"Trick-or-treat!" All of the kids say at once.
"Oooh. Nice costumes! So many great choices!" The first woman says.

"All of them are cool! Oh, are you Luca from the movie?" The other lady asks.

"Yeah! My name is Luca too!" Luca says, laughing.

"Wow! That's so fun!" The other lady says to Luca happily.

"Boo!" Henry says causing everyone to laugh and smile.

The two ladies give all the kids a few pieces of candy and say goodbye.

"Bye!" The kids say back, and walk on.
Everyone goes to one or two more cars, before they all decide they're tired of walking and have had enough.

So Josh, RJ, David, Will and all the kids chat and go back to their houses.

David, Josh and their eight children say goodbye and go back to their own home.

Will and RJ have the kids wash their hands and get into pajamas while they sort the candy and make sure it's safe.

Once they've decided it is, they Benji, Coralei, Harlow, Luca, Averie, Theodore, Henry, Lucille, Arya and Oliver all choose a piece of candy to enjoy. They talk about the fun night they've had. The Shepherd-Aguiars had a wonderful Halloween! :)
