-6 years after graduation-

I'm done with college and I'm working for Apple just like dad. Liam and I are still together. We haven't broken up. Not once. My phone vibrates in my pocket. I take one hand off the steering wheel and pull it out.

The caller ID says Liam.

"Hey!" I greet him.

"Where are you?" He asks me.

"I'm on my way back home from office." I reply.

"Can you come to the high school?" He asks me.

"Ours?" I confirm.

"Yeah. I will. I'll be there in five minutes." With this I hang up.

After five minutes I park my car in the parking lot. Liam's already there. When I get out of my car, he gets out too. I walk over to him.

"Why did you ask me to come here?" 

He replies casually with his hands in his pockets. "I felt like playing basketball. I know the guard and he said that I could use one of the courts. I thought maybe you would want to too."

I put my arms around his neck and kiss him. When we pull away he takes hold of my hand and we walk over to where the basketball courts are. I go sit on the bleachers while he goes off to get the ball. The sun's still in th sky but night's appraoching.

After a few minutes the sound of a ball being dribbled makes my head snap up. Liam walks upto me and stops a few feet away from me.

"Get up." He says.

"Why?" I ask him.

"I didn't ask you to come so that you could just sit around. You're playing." He orders me.

I shake my head in defeat and say. "Fine."

I follow him onto the court. He dribbles the ball and then does a lay up. The ball goes straight into the basket. I've seen him do this a lot of times. But for some reason it leaves me in awe every single time.

"What's wrong?" He snaps me out of my revery.

"Nothing. Could you do that again?" I'm dying to see him do that again.

"A lay up?" He asks and I nod in reply. He repeats what he did before and again the ball goes straight in.

He throws the ball at me and I catch it. "Your turn."

I walk over to the basket and stop some distance away. I drible the ball a couple of times and then throw it. It misses the basket.

"How come your ball goes in everytime?" I ask Liam.

He takes the ball from me and throws. It goes in again!

"Aim for the red box on the board instead of the basket." He kisses me on the cheek and then steps away so that I have to throw.

I take a deep breath and throw the ball. This time following my boyfriend's instructions. And it goes in!

"You were right." He puts his arms around my waist and draws me to him. He kisses me lightly and then pulls away. His arms remain around me. So, we're right next to each other.

"Can I ask you something?" He asks me.

I nod my head and say. "Sure. Go ahead."

The question makes me frown. "Do you love me?"

I waste no time to answer. "Of course I love you! What makes you...?"

I trail off because I'm really shocked. Liam has pulled out a box with a ring and is kneeling before me.

"Do you love me enough to marry me?" He asks.

I look at him for a second and then get a grip on myself. "Of course I love you enough!"

He gets up and swirles me in his arms. He kisses me and I kiss him back. I don't think we've ever kissed like his before. That's because right now we have no doubt about each others feelings.

When we pull away, he slips the ring onto my fingre and whispers. "I love you."

I touch my forehead to his and reply ."I love you too."

Hermione and Liam are engaged!
