chapter 40
~Hermione~
I choose my outfit, a light pink dress. I run a brush through my hair and sweep it towards one side. I out on my gown and graduation cap as I sprint down the stairs.
I slip on the last one but luckily dad catches me.
"Hey! Easy. Graduation can wait. Just don't break your leg."
I laught at this and turn towards mom who has the proud-mom-look on her face.
I hug her and she pulls away saying. "I can't believe my little girl has grown up so much."
I smile not wanting to ruin the moment by crying.
-Time Lapse-
We get out in the school parking lot. Liam is already there with his parents.
"Hi guys!" Mom says as we walk up to them. Mom and Ansel have a sort of brother-sister relationship that I get because they were siblings in Divergent.
I throw my arms around Liam's neck, saying. "I can't believe we made it!"
"Yeah. School's been one heck of a ride." He replies touching his forehead to mine.
"Alright! We'll see you two once you're "high school graduates." Dad says this making air quotes.
We go to the back field where the ceremony's going to b held. Our parents go to find seats while we go stand with the others as Miles tries to put us into alphabetical order. After some time we're all seated. Liam and Hazel infront of me and Augustus behind me. The principal comes up and makes a speech about how we have been the most troublesome batch ever. He even gives some instances which make us all laugh. One of them is Liam and George's fight.
He ends his speech by saying. "Now let's hear from Mr. Liam Elgort about his hig school experience."
We all clap as Liam makes his way to the stage and then the microphone. His hands are empty which means that he does not have a pre-written speech. He shoves his hands into his pockets.
"Today's the best and the worst day of my life. Best because no more homework or working on group projects or getting up at 7.00 in the morning. The bad things, I can no longer be a goes to school and fools around with his friends. I have to leave the comfort of my loved ones and move onto something not so comforting called collage. I may be allowed to get up late but there won't be a mother worried about me 24/7 or a girlfriend worried about where I was all day. This is what is actually called growing up and moving on. Thank You."
We all burst into an applause and I can't get the smile off my face as he accpets his diploma and then the rest of us starts getting ours. When my name is called, I walk onto the stage and the principal hands me my diploma. But just as I'm about to leave he holds out a hand to stop me from leaving.
This makes me frown. He walks upto the mic while I hug my diploma to my chest.
"This girl, Hermione James." He says, pointing towards me. "Is the only girl in this batch to get accepted in two colleges. And not just any colleges but Harvard and Standford!" I blush as everyone claps for me. I shake his hand and go back to my seat.
"Honey I'm so proud of you!" Mom tell me as she pulls me into a hug.
"I can't believe he announced it like that." I reply.
"At least it gave me an oppertunity to show off something." Dad says grining. This makes me laugh.
Mom puts her arms around my shoulders. I smile and lean in towards her as dad takes our picture.
It was about time that the story came back to it's name.
Now they're A HAPPY FAMILY again.
I'm really sorry that I didn't update for a while. The reason is that I wasn't home for the past two days. I was out with my friends.
I'm glad that people now comment :)

P.S. Can someone fill me up on what's going on in the Divergent fandom?
