Chapter 9
Third-Person P.o.v.
Henry was almost home to his house as he drove while Willow sat in the passagers seat as the two were just sitting there as they drove in silence.
Willow didn't know what to think at the moment. She was grateful that Henry had offered to let her stay at his place for the time being, and didn't mind about her having to use his room. But she felt like she didn't want to burden him with having to put up with her, and her needs and the most part.
The car remained silent for the rest of the ride until Henry decided to break it by saying, "Willow, you don't have to feel like you're a bother to me. Because your not. You never will be."
Willow looked at him surprised. She had thought that she always had been a hassle towards Henry, having to listen to her horrid past and being an outcast at the school they used to attended together.
Although she felt glad that she wasn't being a hassle or bother towards him, she couldn't help but feel bad because he's always been the one who had to stick up for her whenever something happened.
The rest of the drive was silent again until they pulled up to Henry's house. Willow opened the door to his car and tried reaching out for her luggage, but was shocked to stand there and find Henry holding her bag containing the remains of her belongings.
Willow blushed lightly as Henry gave her a warm, comforting smile as the two went into the house after Henry unlocked the door with his keys.
Willow entered the house first as she fumbled with her hands. She admitted Henry's house was much more better than her cramped and small apartment, but she felt like she was invading it completely, even if Hen was alright with it.
As Henry gently settled her bag of belongings on the floor as he smiled at poor Willow, who was afraid at all to touch anything. She didn't want to break anything in his house.
"You know, you're more than welcome to sit down anywhere," Henry said with a smile. Willow soon blushed lightly as her eyes went wide, looking back at Henry as she nervously nodded. "O-oh, thank you!" She said.
Henry smiled at her as he saw her sitting on the couch, as he sat down with her. As Willow looked everywhere but at Henry, Henry scooted closer you her as he put his hand on her hand, making her go wide eyed and blush bright red.
"Willow, it's okay, I promise you can be yourself here. No need to try and hide who you are."
Willow nodded gently as she looked up at Henry. She found his light brown hazel eyes comforting and calming. Within moments she relaxed completely.
After a bit Henry was able to make Willow comfortable enough to make her kick off her shoes and relax on his couch. The two were drinking mugs of hot chocolate while they spoke about a few subjects.
Henry knew that Willow had yet to tell her about her and her issues with her father, but after what had just happened, he knew that it wouldn't be good at all to try and push her to get any kind of information from her at this moment. It would be rude as well, to just ask her about it when her apartment was just burnt to the ground.
When he checked his watch, he noticed that it was becoming late, and once Willow had finally finished her mug of hot chocolate she became very sleepy. She was even struggling to keep her eyes open.
"Will...you want to go lie down in my bed? I'll sleep on the couch," he offered.
Willow tried to protest, but she wasn't able to do so because she couldn't keep her eyes open. Henry stood up and he picked her up gently as he carried her upstairs to his room.
He laid her in the bed as he pulled the cover over her, as Willow fell fast asleep. She was exhausted after having a long 'exciting' day.
Before Henry left the room, he sat on the edge of his bed, gazing at her. Watching her chest rise and fall as her light brown hair was out of her face and she lightly tanned skin was shining by the light that was being showing through the crack of the open door. She seemed so peaceful to Henry.
Henry sighed softly as he looked at Willow as she turned in her sleep, and stood up as he reached his hand over towards her to brush a lock of hair out of her face to keep it from falling in her mouth when she opened it to breathe again.
After a minute of pausing, he then leaned over and kissed her forehead as he pulled away. He walked over to the door, opened it, walked out of the room, but before he closed the door behind him, he looked at Willow in silence, and then said quietly, "Sweet dreams, Will." And then left the room to get his extra pillow and blanket to sleep on the couch.
