Ciel's POV
"Sebastian, bring me my tea." I said tiredly as I sat up in the pale blue bed.
"Yes my Lord. Today we have Earl Grey tea with extra sugar to sweeten the bitter events of the recent past. We also have freshly baked scones. Please enjoy." He smiled with a golden tray.
I ate as he dressed me in my casual blue wear.
"I am going on a walk through the courtyard Sebastian. Come and fetch me if (y/n)s state improves." I told him as I walked towards the door and opened it.

As I strolled leisurely through the Trancy garden, I caught sight of 2 birds; a pale brown finch and a light red one with grey wing tips. Between them was a dark, auburn fledgling. They were all singing while sat upon a white, porcelain water fountain. The birds looked like such a happy family, as I approached, the finches scattered and flew a few meters before the fledgling fell!
Most birds would have simply left the creature to die, but this pair swooped down towards it. The red bird (which I assumed to be the father) stood and kept a close eye on me as the pale brown bird (the mother) used her beak to lift the auburn's head and lightly peck its head. The auburn stretched out its wings and the brown spread and bent them with such kindness and love.
Love.
A fool's concept. Nothing of worth is to be gained by something so mundane as love. But, did that make me a fool also? The way I guard (y/n) and mourn her everyday. I may love her but it is unlikely, for I am Ciel Phantomhive, and I am no fool. Not to mention, she is the sister of my butler and a Demon! She most likely just wants to eat my soul and should not be trusted!
Although I want to, I shouldn't!
BANG!
What was that?
Something to quick to see flew past and hit the hedge, rocking the leaves. I carefully creeped over and saw something silver in the dirt. I picked it up, it was a bullet. Probably shotgun. Sebastian, someone's here, be on your guard. Don't let them anywhere near the girl. I mentally told Sebastian.
"It's her majesty's guard dog."
"Shh! He'll hear you, you b*stard."
"Shall we shoot him?"
"Well, we're here. So we might as well." I heard several voices whisper, but they were doing so loudly and I heard them with ease.
The loud sound of gunfire filled my ears and the smell of carnage hurried around, infecting the air. Bullets whizzed by me but I did not scream, did not panic, did not even run. I simply stood there, carefree and said, "Come, Sebastian." Calmly.
"You bloody brat! You won't escape this time, there's no way!" One of the men shouted.
"I'm afraid I have to disagree. You see I will protect my young lord, no matter what the cost. And I am in a bad mood today so there is even less of a chance that you will so much as lay a finger upon my masters delicate body." Sebastian suddenly landed and stood in front of me, walking through the shells, towards the man while he talked.
"Wha-! Why haven't you died! What are you? Your not human!"
"Not human you say? Well that is not entirely inaccurate, you see, I Am Simply One HELL Of A Butler."
"Quit dawdling already. Get it over with Sebastian." I yawned, brushing my hair from over my black eyepatch to remind him of our contract and the seal beneath.
The dark haired Demon smiled to me, hand on heart and bowed, "yes, my lord." With that, he threw the intruder so far that he is now an insignificant speck in the distance. Now no more of an inconvenience than a speck of dirt resting upon a fresh sheet.
